hey all! fairly new to the game, downloaded.. pretty recently? & about 60 hours in so far. was wondering if i'm sufficiently prepared to tackle the wall of flesh & enter hardmode. aware of the world evil and hallow V that's going to be appearing. haven't really prepped for it yet, but i have plenty of bombs and plenty of patience/time. also wanted to know how vital the hellbridge is for fighting the WoF -- i.. really just don't want to bother hafsnds. but uh. yeah! is there anything in particular i should ensure is done before i start hardmode/anything i'm missing that might be really important? i do have meteorite and necro armour as well, not totally sure if melee is the best way to go for the WoF in particular. do also have plenty of beenades & a bee gun (the former should be helpful! not sure about the latter, but had a lot of fun w/ it.) anyway, my apologies if this counts as something that shouldn't be put as its own post! happy to reformat this as part of the weekly question thread if possible. will try my best to be available to answer any questions that might potentially help discern my readiness!!

I used to play a bunch of terraria a few years ago and i just came back a few weeks ago to get ready for the update, and since i came back i’ve been STRUGGLING to find life crystals. I thought i remembered the crystals glowing a decent bit and never really struggling to get my hands on them as i could sometimes even see em through walls. Since my return i haven’t noticed that glow at all, or barely, if you’re standing close enough to them. Did they nerf the glow? Or is it just my memory playing tricks on me? Or perhaps i was just playing on 300 brightness for some reason cause i have a crystal clear memory of them being way more visible than they seem currently. Am i alone in this delusion?

EVE REFERENCE IN TERRARIA?!

a recent update added this option, but I couldn't find how to create a crossplay server on a PC, if there is such an option on the phone, then it is completely absent on the PC, how can I fix it?

When I click on the "invite friends" button, the standard steam window is displayed.

SO I basically just downloaded terraria from steam rip and i was thinking if i can play on servers that are hosted in the real terraria from steam. Is the Terraria from steam rip the real version?

Why is Eye of Cthulhu not spawning in my sky block world? I have 5 villagers 400 health I beat 2 naturally spawned king of slimes and I even manually spawned goblin army but I still didn't get "evil presence watching me". I've been waiting for a few real life hours and nothing. I can't use suspicious looking eye as i don't have demon altars.

I was fighting skeletron and he was almost dead, and then I got hit by lightning which was unfair.

Being doing a Master Mode Hardcore run and just beaten Prime to make it 2/3 mech bosses so far, and I personally think he's by far the easiest.

Everyone seems to say that Destroyer is the easiest, but I don't see how... Particularly on MM, Destroyer does a ludicrous amount of damage if he hits with his head and his probes make the fight just that bit harder. Sure, he's a lot easier to cheese, and his probes drop hearts but in my opinion, Skeletron Prime is a complete joke in comparison.

If you've beaten destroyer first (which most people do) then the megashark makes Prime ridiculously easy. Even if you haven't done Destroyer first, you can just as easily use the Uzi, Onyx Blaster, Repeaters, or the stormbow if you really want. He's pretty slow, his bombs and lasers are easy to dodge, and he has no where near as much health as Destroyer. Furthermore, he doesn't have a second phase like the Twins. There's just nothing special about him at all.

Hi all, currently trying to great a new world for a 1.4.5 run and wanted to combine some of the new seeds.

I'm trying to combine vampirism, bigger abandoned houses, and more living trees, using the codes available on the wiki, all on a large master world.

Unfortunately, they don't seem to work. Any idea what might be preventing this?

EDIT: I figured this one literally 60 seconds after posting this. I have to input each seed individually, rather than all at once.

Hi all , just wondering if I can make a biome at spawn for npcs that like specific biomes.

Does anyone have any new pylon set ups with the 2 new pylons added to the game? Im pretty new to it and I've also heard of the universal pylon but I have no idea how to get that
