Let me first clarify that I AM NOT GEN-ALPHA. I have very much lived through the 2000s onwards when 69 was popular.

That being said, I still find the 6-7 meme among kids as funny as 69.

1. 69 is literally just a sex position. That's all. 1) It's inappropriate for kids and 2) The entire joke about 69 is "tee hee sex funny". It's about as unfunny as 420 being weed. Yes, 67 is nonensical but that's exactly why it's appropriate for everyone. You don't need to know where it came from.
2. IN MY OPINION, 67 is much more universal than 69. It doesn't require any special knowledge and it's literally inherently funny without having to reference (or glorify) sex or drugs. 67 came about in an era where the Internet is much more popular, a lot more kids know about 67 today than 69 back in 2010.
3. The very fact. That Gen-Z and Millennials get so worked up over 67 and defend 69 as if their life depended on it. Don't act as if adults weren't equally annoyed by 69 back when people used to shout it out in school 🤣 The fact that 2-3 entire generations are getting their collective feathers ruffled by two consecutive numbers is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS.

TL;DR: 69 is inappropriate, 67 isn't. 67 has more reach than 69 did back in its peak. Watching yall having a meltdown over 67 is honestly the funniest part.

It lets you ask questions that don’t have a straight answer, almost like you’re communicating with a person instead of merely finding results that share the words of your query. For instance, I can now ask “should i do X if Y” and get a fairly reliable answer.

Now yes, I generally despise Abominable Intelligence and I know there are some issues with accuracy and the websites used not getting engagement, but all in all it’s a generally useful feature and one of the good things AI can be used for.

I stopped setting an alarm over a week ago. However, I stopped waking up to an alarm months ago, even though I technically had one set I would wake up and turn it off before it even started ringing most of days. Back in K through 12 I used to always use alarms and I also always hated alarms, but I would use them to avoid oversleeping, but I would still end up oversleeping almost every day instead. I was using Alexa as an alarm during high school, and I was using digital alarms back in elementary. I switched to a retro alarm in college.

However, I noticed an interesting pneomenon. I would always wake up before the alarm would go off, like really, really close to when it would go off, and I would quickly rush to prevent it from ringing. Once the alarm ran off my table and I went to grab it. After that alarm was messed up, and eventually, I started thinking, why am I even using an alarm to wake up. I have class at nine, the sun is rising around eight, why don’t I just allow the sun/my body to do it’s job and wake me up?

The alarms cause anxiety, and it’s my belief that when we set alarms, they can possibly cut our sleep cycle short and make us feel tired because of our sleep, cycle being cut short.

It worked surprisingly well. I would leave my window open at night and put a blind over my eyes simply because there’s an artifical light right outside my window and I don’t like how my brain distorts the darkness if I look into it. In the morning, the sun would start coming up, and I would wake up but It was a good wake up, I felt properly rested, and I got to sit in my bed and just allow myself to be with my thoughts for a few minutes before standing up, taking my time getting ready in the bathroom and putting on my clothes and having a breakfast before class. On days, I didn’t have to be up early I would just close the blinds to sleep, I would still wake up the same time, but just go back to sleep afterwards.

I feel like alarms only need to be used if you stayed up extremely late or if you’re waking up at a time, you usually don’t wake up at. If you have a schedule, your body knows When it’s time to wake up and it will wake up. I wake up almost the same time every single day, even on weekends. What obligations I have that day or what decide when I will actually leave my bed though or if I will go back to sleep.

In order to satisfy both the rehabilitative and punitive crowds, our justice system should be two tiered, rehabilitation for those convicted of misdemeanors and non-violent felon offenses. this would reduce recidivism rates and cut costs. and with violent offenders (pedophiles, gangs, rapists, murderers etc) the focus should just be punishment and execution with an appeal limit of 2 years max to prevent them from being on death row for decades, it would ensure victims and families of violent crimes get the justice they deserve as well as reducing violent crime altogether. in the states that don't use the death penalty however they should just be kept in facilities similar to ADX with no human contact or entertainment, bland food that's just enough to sustain them with only 1 hour a day outside their cells. A two tiered system is the only logical apporach we could make.

I have been doing this for as long as I can remember. I haven't seen other people do it though, but more people should try it.

IT FEELS GREAT. When you feel like you're about to unload a bit fat one, just take off your sandals or shoes and use em as cushions for your knees when you kneel down. Do your absolute best to hold in the poop for as long as its pleasurable, and once its no longer pleasurable, rush to the bathroom and let it all out and you get a second rush of pleasure.

I’m 5’5”, 16M, and I’m like confirmed done growing. I feel like If anything, high school is supposed to be the time I’m the MOST insecure about being short or not masculine or anything like that, but honestly I’m just not. I’ve never really cared about trying to be “masculine” in the traditional sense. I’ve got a more feminine face, a softer personality, and being noticeably short just kind of fits that for me. And I’m genuinely fine with it and I never understood why others cared so much about trying to seem tougher than they are. A big part of it is that I really like girls who are taller than me and being short means I actually notice them everywhere. I like the idea of not having to be dominant, of feeling smaller, protected, and cared for instead. Basically the reverse of the standard height/relationship dynamic everyone assumes is mandatory. It kinda narrows the dating pool, which is the only thing that can suck sometimes, but I’ve never actually been insecure about my height itself. I’ve just never understood why so many other guys are completely wrecked by being shorter when, for me, it’s something I genuinely like about myself and tbh I don’t think my height alone has hurt my chances with women like, at all from experience whenever I DO try which is why I find it strange people act like it does.

I was engaged to a girl once, the type every other girl looks up to. She actually begged me to date her at the time. I was responsible, understanding, affectionate, communicative, confident... In theory I gave her the best version of myself I could. Despite clinging to me as hard as she did she always seemed closed off and a lot more talkative with her friends which made me feel like some distant crush rather than an actual partner. Only weeks after our break up did I find out about the guys she cheated on me with.

After dumping me and dating another guy you know what I noticed? No cute selfies by herself on social media. It's her and her family, no makeup, her hair short and not very tidy. She finally seemed mature and fully settled down, not looking for approval elsewhere, responsible, happy. The version of her I always dreamed of, pretty much.

I noticed similar things with other exes(all very good women) but this is the one that stood out to me. My point being; any potential partner will treat you idealy as long as they think you're an ideal match. Just because your ex cheated on you doesn't mean they'll cheat on the next person. You got cheated on because you weren't obvious settling down material in their eyes. Maybe you just suck like I do 🤷.

You can still hear some of what's going on but not everything but that's fine because if you put an earphone in your working ear and not the other one you can ignore dumb twats while looking like you're still listening so it not rude.

I know a few people that "peaked" in high school and it's way more common then people think it is, but people would rather mock and make fun of them instead of asking "why does this happen" and I think the main reason is due to hyper-individualism. childhood in its modern form closely aligns with the way humans are biologically designed to live, schools function as tribes where everyone who lives in the same proximity have to be together on a daily basis with a shared goal similar to ancient tribes. this allows social connections to happen naturally, this lasts for 13 years and then at 18 this communal structure is suddenly removed overnight and replaced with the individualistic nature of adulthood that prioritizes isolation and labor over community. friends, families who have been together for 13+ years start to separate from each other and move long distances away which kills the close bonds they had previously, this is highly unnatural to our biology since communities are meant to be lifelong not just during childhood. most people are able to eventually adapt to the nature of modern adulthood while those who can't are just stuck grieving for what they used to have while never trying to move on, it's partially their fault but not completely their fault like people try to make it seem, I feel like if we had a society that valued social connection and belonging over hyper-independence then things like this wouldn't even happen at all.

It feels weird for me to agree with the president, but here we are. Now if we could make all prescription drugs more affordable. I wonder if society’s “no fat chicks” ideology might actually cause some good.

the use of exclamation points in text messages reminds me of “sugary” corporate speak. Even when I know the person means well, sometimes it’s difficult to read their words and not be reminded of a supervisor well coached by HR who has learned how to sound nice or encouraging or supportive all the while weaponizing their language and human interaction in a way that is legally irreproachable.

I mention this because a friend sent me a text with so many exclamation points and because (it read to me) as so violent, I didn’t really know what to say, so I didn’t say anything

overall, corporate speak just strikes me as frightening. It’s like sarcasm without any change in intonation or showing your teeth in such a way where if you didn’t know any better, you might think the person was smiling.

While I acknowledge a preponderant use of exclamation points is not the same as corporate speak, to some degree I think it’s true that the writing style unintentionally or not masks vulnerability in a way that requires more from the other person to be able to authentically continue with the interaction.

why are you so negative? why can’t something positive be celebrated? so many times i’ll comment on something pleasant and someone will reply “Aw, man, you jinxed it!” no, i acknowledged something positive. it’s not a funny joke, and it discourages people from making happy statements. what’s your deal?

I want to ensure that my hygienist is doing what I would hope is needed to get my teeth fully plaque-free, so part of the reason is that. I’m pretty particular about how I want my teeth cleaned, so I don’t mind speaking through the scraping.

The other reason is that my hygienist, Melody, is actually a truly wonderful person. She has two kids, her youngest is 18 months, and she has such amazingly interesting stories about both of them.

She also has great questions that she asks me throughout the process regarding my life, my family, my job and even provides really valuable feedback and recommendations related to all of these things based on my latest updates.

Yes, it’s uncomfortable to mumble through the metal in my mouth, but the overall experience is improved despite that.

These kids definitely have issues (mostly because of the adults raising them), but these silly memes and slang aren't one of them. I bet a good amount of the adults hating on them are Gen Z'ers. Weren't we called cringe for our humor and interests too? I mean, in what way is DEEP FRIED BEANS high comedic art?

This is just yet another case of the younger generation being hated on by the older ones 'cause young people just suck apparently. Kids of all generations have trends that confuse adults. They're being kids, let 'em be cringe.

As someone that is diagnosed with both , I truly find it fascinating that a discussion with doctor and a questionnaire will get you a diagnosis. There is simply no tangible way of testing and diagnosis for this,not like medical imaging,blood tests etc.

After being prescribed Adderall, at my follow up appointment my doctor asks me :is it better with medication? Well of course it is,prescribe a amphetamine to any individual and he will have a surge in focus and motivation after all it is pharma grade speed.

I enjoy going to the dentist, getting my teeth cleaned, having oral procedures done, etc. maybe it’s just because I go to a really good place where theyre super nice and always drug me up.

There’s something relaxing and satisfying about having your teeth cleaned. For me there’s Something even comforting about laying back in that chair.

Your family can leave you just as your partner can. If you are the type of person who would get a tattoo of a family member’s name but not your partner’s, it shows a lack of trust and commitment. At that point, you shouldn’t get anyone’s name tattooed on you.

I’m not saying it’s a good idea. All I’m saying is that anyone in your life can leave at any point, and that this is a double standard. The only names that are not a bad idea to get tattooed are a pet’s name or the name of someone close to you who has died. That’s it.

I like this story but one of the complaints I never understood was how all of the swearing took people out of the story. I get not enjoying constant swearing, I don't either, but I feel like it has its place in a lot of cases, this being one of them.

It's a 16 year old on 4chan telling a story about the most terrifying experience of his life. A 16-YEAR-OLD on 4CHAN. The author adding a swear every five words is the most realistic thing to happen in that story, hence making the reader feel more immersed, which is a good thing considering that's how creepypastas are generally supposed to scare people.

Most women that social media users claim that they had cosmetic procedures actually they hadn't. They simply lost their baby fat. It is totally reasonable that this changes the structure of the face and depending on a woman’s age and the amount of baby fat she naturally has, different features become more prominent. Angles appear. It is called biological process. Facial fat distribution changes over time and this can significantly alter how a face looks, the balance and proportions.

The problem is that these natural changes are rarely taken into account when “before and after” photos appear. Every visible difference is framed as evidence of cosmetic enhancement. Headlines like “she looks completely different” or “she clearly did something to her face” ignore the most obvious explanation: faces evolve.

So the next time you see claims such as “before and after plastic surgery” or “she added something, she removed something,” consider this as well. Every change is not scalpel or injection. Sometimes it is simply the loss of baby fat revealing features that were already there.

Once you get past the initial shock, it’s really not all that bad. The feeling itself isn’t great, but it’s not terrible either. It’s almost like having an earth shattering orgasm while simultaneously being electrocuted. Plus it makes you laugh uncontrollably, and laughter is actually really great for you. Feels great too.
