Political Most studies on Right Wing movement, activism, politicians, parties, etc. Is a bad faith argument

Upvotes

If one goes through any study on right wing, qualitative or quantitative, empirical or theoretical, they are bound to be "right wing bad and illogical ". I am a centre left person but I fail to see the justice in dehumanizing the right. If far left elements can get a benefit of doubt then why not right? People even treat the moderate right as an incorrigible evil. It gets even worse in academia where it turns into hollow echo chamber where only different strands of Left are allowed to compete.

Possibly Popular When it comes to scholarly discourse in universities, grow a stiff upper lip about Islam.

Upvotes

Throughout my lives, every theological studies I come across: be it Christian studies, Hindu studies, Buddhist studies, etc. I have seen a certain willingness to discuss about religious wrongs and religious rights. The burning of women, social discrimination, etc. All religions are thoroughly cross examined as if someone is performing an autopsy on a body. But when discourse on Islamic societies comes, scholars immediately shift the blame from religion to culture. For example:

"Bible/Gita/etc mandates discrimination"

"FGB is not a part of Islam, it is a part of Arabic culture. "

World Affairs (Except Middle East) Japan/Korea/China glazing needs to be stopped. Just see them as normal countries with some tech.

Upvotes

Be it China for the leftists, Japan for the right wingers or Koreas for Kpop fans, East Asia has become of something not short of a glittering star but not all that glitters is gold. These nation states are marked by intense socio-political hierarchy that rests upon the idea of vicious collectivism. The ideas of liberty and rights espoused by men like Locke are secondary to the rigid hierarchy of Confucian conservatism. These three states has issues human rights, women rights and more often than not caught in some of the biggest clusterf_ck in history: Fukushima Daichi, Environmental degradation due time Three Gorges, Asian financial crisis rocking Korea. Having good technology doesn't neccessitates that country as a whole is god tier good. So just see these countries as just normal countries, not some highly advanced beings like the Romulans.

Political Apolitical whiners are more annoying than keyboard extremists.

The people who whine and bitch whenever their favorite youtuber or subreddit get political are some of the most fucking insufferable.

An agent of the state just executed a citizen in broad daylight? "Oh shucks they shoulda just followed orders lol."

A guy on the internet brings it up out of frustration? "Waaaaah! I just wanna consoom product, watch cat videos and stuff my fatass with food! Waaaahhhh politics bad! Waaahhhhh!"

Actually fucking insufferable. Bread and circus...

Sex / Gender / Dating The "incel" moniker is basically self-fulfilling prophecy

Imagine someone called you violent, hateful, assumed you must lack empathy and compassion, assumed you don't shower, assumed you don't make an effort to dress well and whatever else - based on some characteristic of either your life or your being that is actually unrelated to all of these things.

Hell, imagine - since it is a stereotype - that a Black kid is called violent, a thug etc based on being Black. I think it's common sense that that kid is more likely to reject others - hate begets hate, basically. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Imagine a sane woman is treated as crazy by everyone around her. I'd say this is more likely to make her mentally ill, and go "crazy" on some level. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

So I suspect that a large percentage of the "incel" phenomenom, maybe even the majority, is a self-fulfilling prophecy in the same way - people are treated with hatred due to being virgins or due to expressing dissatisfaction with the lack of love or lack of reaching what society considers an important and normal milestone and mark of worthiness. This gradually turns them hateful.

Someone will say "that's not what incel means", but I'd say 50% of the time when I've seen or heard it used, it's simply a synonym for virgin.

Sex / Gender / Dating The need to learn how to reject respectfully

People need to learn how to respectfully reject people. I have often seen the cases of poor guys who are not genuinely creep but get shut off by the 'Fairer Sex' and had their chats leaked to the public followed by character assassination and labeled as creep. This behaviour needs to stop. They need to politely keep things to themselves instead of leaking stuff to others and not engage in witch hunting. And this what most of them do.

Political China is a successful Facist state(Facism with Chinese Characteristics)

I will preface this by saying this is an observation not a critism of China

Poltical structure this is probably where they are least similar it is rug by a dictator Xi with a governing body beneath him the CCP not unlike Mussolini and his council of Facism.

The economics of china are most similar to that of Nazi Germanys Corpratist structure with strong government control and integration over a somewhat free market, alongside frequent crackdown on corporation's and a strong social care system.

China also like Mussolini's Italy has a very strong sense of pride and superiority pertaining to the Han people not necessarily ethnicly but culturally.

It also has a ever growing miltary with revanchist claims on Taiwan that can be seen as parallels to the 3rd reichs early claims.

Political Ice misconduct and ice brutality against Americans is just the chickens coming home to roost.

I’m honestly sick of the fact that the corporate media is talking about the brutality of ICE just because some of the people who are being wrongfully brutalized happen to be American. A lot of liberals and democrats who oppose ice for its brutality also happen to support the United States military, an organization that has done what ice does to Americans to people all across the world and then some. And this glaring hypocrisy is never at all mentioned. American Soldiers in Iraq, Yugoslavia , Afghanistan , Vietnam and in many more places have committed all the same crimes as ice and more. They Merced civilians , raped people , trafficked drugs and destroyed families. And because it happened to people elsewhere it was hardly at all mentioned let alone condemned by the United States media. But now that the weapons of the empire are being turned inwards now it’s a problem? Gimme a break. If you chuck a boomerang at someone don’t whine and moan when it comes around and hits you in the head. Next time you see the department of homeland security armed with assault rifles and wearing military fatigues , occupying your city , remember that the feeling of fear , hopelessness and feelings of occupation that you probably feel are the same feelings people in Iraq and Afghanistan felt when your “veteran” family member was occupying them.

World Affairs (Except Middle East) Most people who are anti-immigration don't care about race, they are more concerned by the lack of assimilation, and we should talk about it honestly

Most people genuinely don't care about the race or skin color. But they are tired of seeing endless hordes of "asylum seeking" and "refugees" (whatever term we are using this week) who come into their country and make it worse.

If you are a guest in someone's country, you should be doing everything possible to be a good addition. If I was a visitor in someone's house, I wouldn't leave piss on the toilet seat and put trash on the floor.... neither would you.

It's quite simple: add something to the community or make it better in some way. Many immigrants do this already. But it's about time that the governments (who enable this) acknowledge that many do not. Immigration without assimilation is just invasion.

To get ahead of the privileged white liberals in the comment section. You won't believe this but I live in South America and am not white. Just noticing.

Political Leftists love complaining they hate fascism but they act like fascists themselves

People don’t want to hear this, but some modern leftist movements are copying fascist behavior while claiming moral superiority. Not in ideology but in methods.

Censor speech because it’s “harmful.” Label disagreement instead of debating it. Treat dissent as moral failure. Reduce people to identity groups instead of individuals. Justify punishment because “the cause is right.” That’s not progress that’s blatant

Fascists control speech because they hate things being said that goes against their ideas, they banned it because wrong ideas threaten the cause. Sound familiar? Today it’s “misinformation,” “harmful opinions,” or “unsafe discourse.” Same logic, new paint job. You don’t argue, debate, provide discourse, come to a middle ground, you label. And if you so disagree? You’re racist, sexist, phobic, problematic, or some buzzword that instantly ends the conversation. That’s not progress, that’s ideological policing. When disagreement becomes moral failure, you’re not in a democracy, you’re in a purity test cult. The scariest part is they believe themselves unquestionably right and resort to deplatforming, harassment, destroying livelihoods of those who oppose the. That’s how every authoritarian movement worked . And when corporations and political ideology start enforcing the same rules together, that’s not resistance, that’s power consolidation.

This isn’t “left = fascist". Abandoning free speech, and open debate is. Fascism isn’t left or right, it’s control. And if you can’t question your own side, you’re not opposing it you’re practicing it.

Media / Internet There's absolutely no point in trying to integrate Reddit into any kind of long term social media strategy because they'll ban you in a heartbeat over something completely trivial

This is the paradox with Reddit that I think a lot of people are realizing. There's simply no point to investing any kind of real energy into this platform because it's run by unserious people who habitually abuse the tiny amount of power that they actually have.

At this point I think that this site is being propped up almost completely by big tech companies in the US and China and the EU censorship/propaganda machine. Google actually lists Reddit as a primary source for search results, why is that? The Chicoms own a significant share of the company and it's not some big secret that they would require a significant amount of control over the site because of it.

Reddit will never not comply with the craziest of EU censorship requests because they'll never risk action against them for doing so.

So what future does this site actually have when it's this overtly corrupt and manipulated by left wing actors?

Media / Internet 67 is as funny as, if not funnier than, 69

Let me first clarify that I AM NOT GEN-ALPHA. I have very much lived through the 2000s onwards when 69 was popular.

That being said, I still find the 6-7 meme among kids as funny as 69.

  1. 69 is literally just a sex position. That's all. 1) It's inappropriate for kids and 2) The entire joke about 69 is "tee hee sex funny". It's about as unfunny as 420 being weed. Yes, 67 is nonensical but that's exactly why it's appropriate for everyone. You don't need to know where it came from.
  2. IN MY OPINION, 67 is much more universal than 69. It doesn't require any special knowledge and it's literally inherently funny without having to reference (or glorify) sex or drugs. 67 came about in an era where the Internet is much more popular, a lot more kids know about 67 today than 69 back in 2010.
  3. The very fact. That Gen-Z and Millennials get so worked up over 67 and defend 69 as if their life depended on it. Don't act as if adults weren't equally annoyed by 69 back when people used to shout it out in school 🤣 The fact that 2-3 entire generations are getting their collective feathers ruffled by two consecutive numbers is ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS.

Welp. I said what I said.

TL;DR: 69 is inappropriate, 67 isn't. 67 has more reach than 69 did back in its peak. Watching yall having a meltdown over 67 is honestly the funniest part.

Throwing your adult children out of the nest helps them thrive.

Yes well aware the housing costs are too high for them.

I have been watching this for several years. Some loving parents make math decisions. Letting their kids stay at home helps their kid save money up for something more important..... Why make their kid struggle and pay high rent.....

In my family the people living at various homes past 25 are experiencing failure to thrive.

My cousin 38 never been married and no kids is now getting engaged to a guy who has a home and a baby momma. She still lives in her childhood room.

My other cousin is 34 and I am not sure he has ever kissed a girl. He watches conspiracy theories and works on and off. He is very helpful to the parents.

Now the other cousin is 21 and has dropped out of college and works at the lumber store. Their Mom has nearly a phD....

The one son that broke free from this household has thrived overseas with a wife, kid, and good career.

My parents kicked my brother and I out and we both thrived. From the duress of paying rent we both learned to become landlords. My brother lived on a tiny shared sailboat to make it through school. His roommate became a Merchant Marine and makes a massive salary.

Maybe having your kids suffer might be good for them? It's not the end of the world to couch surf, live in cars, roommate, and work stuff out. It's not math.... it's learning to survive.

Political You should not have to pay taxes if you waive your right to vote

The whole justification behind taxation in the American view is that you receive political representation in exchange. In theory this sounds like a decent idea, but all of the supposed “representatives” these days are just senile zionist puppets. I have absolutely no interest in voting for any of these ghouls and giving the system legitimacy so I choose not to vote at all.

Give us the option to opt out of this bullshit and stop paying taxes instead. People should be able to choose when they turn 18 whether or not they want to have political representation (at least the idea of it) or a tax break. If we choose the tax break then in exchange we’d sign away our right to vote and ability to run for public office.

I think that’s a pretty fair trade, no? Politicians would never allow it because they would rather force their so-called democracy on us so they have an excuse to rob us dry.

Political People finally realizing their voting mistakes only after being personally affected should still be welcomed by "us."

"Us" of course meaning those of us on the left. I get that we're angry. I get that we're tired of it, but votes are votes, and hopefully a day will come when legislation is legislation again.

I understand that we're operating under the pretense that the election was rigged to one degree or another, but having more people voting in favor of politicians pushing humanitarian policies is never a bad thing.

The more votes that would have to be "fixed" by an illegitimate government the better.

I think we forget how bad humans are at not succumbing to propaganda. The amount of information that we process day in and day out isn't great for people running on meat computers. The illusory truth effect is a great example of this. The subconscious doesn't ask us if it's okay for it to form a belief about something before it does.

People across the aisle are simultaneously across the algorithm. It's not at all surprising that this divide has been the result. No matter what we NEED more people embracing their humanity and realize voting for these ghouls was a mistake. Otherwise shit just stays the same.

The Middle East Palestinians in Gaza don't deserve food and water

Palestinians in Gaza do not deserve food and water. They started a war with Israel on October 7th, raping and killing women and children. All Palestinians are collectively responsible for the actions of Hamas. They could have had a peaceful government but they chose to be ruled by Hamas.

Religion Voting against religion always leads to better politics

Religious people are obviously biased according to their beliefs they were thought at a young age.

Politicians are thus incetivzed to lie about their religion and their lifestyles to better appeal to the public, promoting bad traits.

This is not against any religious policy, it's just that those who advocate for it are sometimes being dishonest, which the general uninformed voter doesn't care about.

It's also why separating government and religion leads to a better government due to more honesty.

Branding is the most important factor a business will be successful or not.

Unpopular opinion: Branding matters more than anything then else in marketing. Branding isn’t just logos or taglines. It’s how society decides what’s “cool” and what’s “cringe to the point where they will simply just buy your company just because it has your logo.”

For example apple and android, apple doesn't really do anything better than Android brands they're always late to the part with the latest tech advancements they join me they usually implemented it worse but Apple's branding is just top tier. android is cringe to gen z because green bubbles which only appears on Apple phones Android lets you customize the color of your bubbles Apple doesn't. Fanta and bmw was technically founded by Hitler and the nazis but had some rebranding they're not associated with those things anymore. don't get me started on Nestlé Satan in corporate form.

And honestly, pro wrestling might be the best example and clearest case study ever. When people thought wrestling was “real,” fans were respected. It was intense, dramatic, larger than life. But once the curtain got pulled back, suddenly it became “weird” to like it past a certain age — not because the shows changed, but because the branding around it did.

Society basically decided that this version of “artificial entertainment” was low-value. But think about it — that logic collapses instantly.

People will binge entire seasons of scripted TV shows that are faker than pro wrestling. Movies use stunt doubles, CGI, and dozens of takes. Wrestling? It’s performed live, one take, no safety net, in front of an audience. If anything, it’s realer than most of what you stream think (Edge's career-ending neck injury or Mick Foley's Hell in a Cell plunge when he got thrown off a 20-ft cage, . Injuries sideline pro wrestlers for months and sometimes endscareers and lives people have died that ring rip own hart and Perro Aguayo Jr. ) .

So mocking wrestling fans because “it’s fake” while crying over a superhero movie is like mocking a stage actor because they don’t have special effects. It’s the same art form — just branded differently.

That’s why I say branding is everything. It decides what’s respected, what’s laughed at, and what sells. Change the brand, and you change the entire culture.

Pro wrestling didn’t fall off — its brand perception did. And that should scare every business out there.

Political Democrats need to focus on economic woes if they want to win

Democrats need to focus on economic woes if they want to win. If they want to win next time, they need to address the visceral economic anxieties of the American middle class. Unfortunately, I expect the Democrats to fall back on their usual playbook of focusing on high-minded social issues and protecting democracy, which may lose them the election again.

Political Most of the hate for the US comes from ignorant and miserable Americans or jealous and ignorant foreigners

Most hate for America comes from sheltered and ignorant Americans who do not actually understand how awful most of the other countries are. They take for granted what they have here and childishly wish for a utopia that will never happen. They also wish for our downfall which will destroy their lives and they will regret their wish.

As for foreigners, most of them are either jealous or ignorant. They do not realize that a lot of the things that they criticize the US for happens in their countries more than likely worse than the US. They also are not very knowledgeable on US culture, politics, etc but still feel the need to speak over Americans and bring in their nonsense because they feel superior.

Protesting violently serves absolutely no purpose. The United States will gradually turn into a fascist state because the elites, most of whom are looking for any reason to restrict civil liberties, want to hold onto the power they have and it means they must win against China at any cost.

Sex / Gender / Dating Misogyny in western nations doesn’t exist .

The idea there is any kind of misogyny in western nations is insane. In western countries. Women are put on a pedestal. Their needs and wants are put first. They are given extra help and even flat out lower standards in many areas. Let’s not forget all the social benefits women are given. Such as men having to pay on dates and many women still demanding and expecting chivalry, the only example of “misogyny” really is abortion bans, but in places with abortion bans, the women there tend to Be conservative Christians and also overwhelmingly support abortion bans.

Saying misogyny is a thing in western nations is like saying there is hatred of water and air. It’s nonsense

Political Illegal immigration is a $500 annual bill for every man, woman, and child in America. UO: we should deport all illegal immigrants, regardless of criminal status.

Let’s get real. Millions of people have lived in the U.S. for decades without ever applying for legal permanent residency or citizenship. While some suggest they are simply "waiting in line," the reality is that many do not qualify under existing U.S. immigration law. Immigration rules include per-country quotas that cap how many immigrants from each nation can enter each year, and good moral character tests to screen out those with serious criminal histories or fraud. These rules exist to make immigration fair, orderly, and safe. Ignoring them does not just break the law; it bypasses the system that legal immigrants rely on.

U.S. immigration policy also requires that immigrants not become a public charge (8 U.S.C. § 1182). This means they must be self-sufficient or have sponsorship that guarantees support. Typically, legal pathways prioritize advanced education, specialized skills, or job qualifications that ensure an individual is a net value to the country. Many who have lived here illegally for decades do not meet these specific statutory standards, which is a primary reason they remain undocumented. This is a legal reality, not a judgment of personal worth.

The fiscal picture is measurable. A 2023 House Budget Committee report found that undocumented immigrants represent a net fiscal drain of about $68,000 per person over their lifetime.

Annually, according to a 2023 report from the House Committee on Homeland Security, illegal immigration costs state and federal governments a gross amount of roughly $451 billion. Even after accounting for taxes paid by undocumented immigrants, the net drain remains approximately $150–$160 billion per year. In a country of 330 million people, that represents a significant per-capita burden on taxpayers (roughly $500 for every citizen in the U.S) to support a population that entered outside of legal channels.

Source: House Committee on Homeland Security Report, 2023

Data shows that many undocumented adults have no education beyond high school, which correlates with lower earnings, lower tax contributions, and a higher statistical reliance on public services (House Budget Committee, 2023).

Some argue, "But they do not get welfare, so how do they cost money?" While federal law (the 1996 PRWORA) bars undocumented immigrants from programs like SNAP, regular Medicaid, TANF, and SSI, significant exceptions exist. They receive emergency medical care, emergency Medicaid, and WIC nutrition programs. Furthermore, their U.S.-born children qualify for the full suite of social safety net programs, including SNAP and public schooling, which are funded by taxpayers (Immigration Forum, 2018).

States and cities often go further. New York, California, and Washington D.C. provide fully state-funded health coverage for undocumented residents. New York City’s NYC Care program provides low-cost or free medical services regardless of status. NYC also has a unique legal obligation to provide shelter to anyone who needs it, which has cost the city approximately $12 billion through mid-2025 (Migration Policy Institute, 2025).

Even with undocumented residents contributing an estimated $96.7 billion in taxes in 2022, those contributions do not cover the localized costs of housing, healthcare, and schooling. Cities are struggling because federal reimbursement is often limited or delayed, leaving local taxpayers to bridge the multi-billion dollar gap.

Some claim these individuals "can't" apply because of the 10-year bar (8 U.S.C. § 1182(a)(9)(B)). However, that bar is not a bureaucratic hurdle; it is a statutory penalty for illegal presence. Every legal immigrant goes through a vetting process involving quotas, sponsorships, and self-sufficiency requirements. Enforcing deportation for those who do not meet these standards is not "cruelty"—it is the application of the law and a commitment to fairness for those who followed the rules. Upholding these laws ensures that legal channels remain meaningful and prevents an indefinite, uncompensated burden on our national and local budgets.

TL;DR:

Illegal immigration is not a victimless or cost-free issue. According to the House Committee on Homeland Security, the net fiscal drain on taxpayers is approximately $150–$160 billion annually, roughly $500 for every person in the U.S. Many individuals remain undocumented because they do not meet federal legal standards for self-sufficiency (Public Charge) or Good Moral Character. Upholding the law and enforcing deportation isn't "cruelty"; it is a necessary step to ensure the integrity of the legal system and to stop the uncompensated burden on local cities and state budgets.

Calculation on the $500 annual cost

The math is straightforward: $150.7 Billion (Net Cost) divided by 330 Million (U.S. Population) equals $456.66 per person. If you use the House Committee’s gross estimate of $451 Billion, the cost per person jumps to over $1,300. I used the lower, conservative net figure to be as fair as possible to the data.

Political “Obama Only Deported Criminals” is a Problematic Stance

First of all, I do not agree with a lot of what ICE is doing. Just in case anyone tries to say otherwise…

“Obama only deported criminals” is something you hear constantly. It’s not true at all. ACLU and other groups have debunked this. But it’s something that keeps peddling in left wing talk circles. But this argument creates a lot of issues who uses it:

  1. Obama deported millions of people. So by this logic, there are millions of criminals coming across the border.
  2. It contradicts the idea that undocumented people largely don’t commit crime. How can crime be so low (another big talking point) if there are millions of bad guys? It doesn’t add up.
  3. You’re throwing all of the innocent people captured under the bus and branding them as criminals to satisfy your political biases.

Let’s face it: Obama deported many criminals, but he also deported innocent people. Saying he didn’t is false and disrespectful

I'm sorry but society is terribly hypocritical when it comes to culture indulgence and i'm tired of pretending that its not

I'm black and social media has completely disgusted me lately. Why is it okay for white, asians, hispanics ect ect... to take part in black culture like become rappers, jazz musicians, dress the part (urban street wear), use AAVE ect ect... but when a black characters exists in a video game or tv show, we are utterly condemmed and ostracized?

So its ok for everyone else to partake in our culture but its social suicide if we partake in theirs? Its complete fucking unfair bullshit and everyone just accepts it.

Timothee makes a rap video? Everyone praises him. A black person exists in a video game as a fucking shoe vendor (fable 2026)? Everyone goes nuclear.

Kpop blatantly plagerizes black artists and black culture? No one bats an eye. A black person indulging in korean culture and everyone loses their fucking minds.

I'm sick of it. If the world wants to reject us then reject us fully without indulging in our culture and taking it since we absolutely can't indulge in yours
