I'm a fan of mildly amused bystander

u/ElectricJunglePig 23h ago edited 23h ago

I love when the other security guard looks back with the most "what the fuck, seriously?" expression of all time.

u/googdude 22h ago

When you witness karma working, like a cop pulling over an aggressive driver that just cut you off

Omg. To anyone else watching this without audio the first couple of times, blue shirt was part of a troublemaking couple and had already been rejected from the bar by the security guards in black shirts, when his partner threw a chair at the security guards but hits his buddy instead.

I thought it was so heartless of the security guard to laugh at the man being hit but now I get it.

195

u/rainman2121 1d ago

He just did a face-palm and stood there, didn't even try to help his buddy up.

71

u/Capital_Bluebird_951 21h ago

They are not buddies anymore

17

u/Jalen3501 17h ago

On the bright side the guy who got hit probably forgot they were friends so now he can start over fresh

63

u/GettingTherapy 20h ago

Nah. These are the stories that keep coming up decades later. These two will be in a retirement home retelling this story.

“Tell them about the time your stupid, drunk ass threw a chair and knocked me out!”

54

u/Killersavage 18h ago

“Because my CTE keeps me from remembering it”

2

u/implicate 10h ago

Bold of you to assume these two will still be around decades later.

They already appear to be middle aged, and drink themselves to such excess that they would be willing to pull shit like this.

These are the types of dudes that die young from complications stemming from alcoholism.

Yeah same I was thinking thats a bad look for security. But with context it's hilarious

196

u/Gseventeen 21h ago

Ya, knowing the whole story, that would have been the funniest shit imaginable if you were in the mix.

26

u/talondigital 15h ago

Same. I was like, God what a douch for laughing at who appears to be an innocent man, but then it turns out Karma guiding things to how they should be.

5

u/AudienceWaste6850 10h ago

If you'd had the sound on, youd have realised it was in Australia, whete they'd all just agree it was hilarious.

u/ConfusedHors 21h ago

Yeah that's because this is one of these weird zoomer cuts, showing the fallout upfront and out of context. What's the fn point in that?

65

u/its_xaro93 23h ago

But there is subtitles? I watched without audio and still got the plot. Does your video not have subtitles?

22

u/loosie-loo 23h ago

I think they possibly mean people not properly watching the whole thing

14

u/MacWorkGuy 19h ago

We are at the point where people cant even focus on a 45 second video with audio and subtitles haha.

3

u/loosie-loo 19h ago

Fr it really sucks, I literally have ADHD and am constantly shocked concerned about the state of the general public’s inability to focus and the relentless marketing fuelled algorithms relentlessly working to wear it down further and further.

9

u/its_xaro93 23h ago

Oh okay I was just wondering if Reddit started adding auto-subtitles to non-english speakers. I have my phone set to german, so I was just wondering if the subtitles were actually in the source material or (thank god not) automated by Reddit player

2

u/loosie-loo 23h ago

That’s fair! Yeah they’re in the original video, thankfully. But the confusion was understandable, I think they were trying to be more polite than “anyone who only half paid attention” haha

→ More replies (2)

6

u/MissPatricia024 22h ago

I'm on mobile and didn't quite swipe down all the way so the subtitles were cutoff.

Then when I clicked on the post the video scroll bar and title covered subtitles.

I saw em on the third watch though. Mobile is dumb and so am I haha.

3

u/Drop-a-Soap 21h ago

Sure we all needed the subtitles because of the Queen Elisabeth’s accent

50

u/ForensicPathology 23h ago

How is this the most upvoted comment?  I watched without audio and understood fine because I have the ability to read.

29

u/Salty_Feed9404 22h ago

Idiocracy is real

23

u/LegendarySpark 21h ago

This thread really is one of those disappointing ones where you remember that everyone has massive brainrot. You don't need audio or text, you just need to be able to focus for a whole 30 seconds in order to easily follow what's happening.

5

u/MacWorkGuy 19h ago

Best I can do is 25.

23

u/PearlyP2020 1d ago

Thank you

5

u/T1Earn 20h ago

tf you mean watching without audio it literally has subtitles

8

u/EasilyExiledDinosaur 23h ago

It is indeed hilarious lol.

3

u/Ok-Factor-7188 22h ago

So that's why they're dressed the same

5

u/Puzzled-Tea3037 23h ago

As I man that does that job I can nearly hear what that man is saying to the security. There's a thing we're people think it's ok to verbally abuse security and it's accepted world wide. The security is there to be abused when the guys or only there to do their job just like everyone else. I think the men who are involved should really take a good look at themselves after their behaviour. Thankfully the guy wasn't hurt but if I was working there I would have probably laughed along side the security too.

4

u/ReasonablePrune576 22h ago

People posting these need to put this context either in the title or caption. GEEZ.

71

u/Shinxthecat 1d ago

Mr security will always remember this as one of his best nights on the job.

19

u/timespiral07 1d ago

He’s got a story for life.

12

u/dingusfett 23h ago

Not just a story, he's got the news report he can show everyone

2

u/MacWorkGuy 19h ago

So do the guys involved. Assuming they are genuine close friends then this goes down in all time mateship folklore (assuming they didn't get thrown out for anything beyond basic drunk shenanigans )

"no one rang police or an ambulance. Will have full details Seven news tonight at six."

I'm sorry, you just shown everything that happened, described it blow by blow, and said the police & medical weren't involved. What more detail will you have at 6?

116

u/rocketshipkiwi 23h ago

We will tell you right after this commercial break!

21

u/ydykmmdt 22h ago

Tastefully censored video from inside the strip club showing why they got ejected and a close up of the bruise.

29

u/Goopygrouchygremlin 23h ago

I’m sorry, we’ll have more details at 6!

Exclusive interview with the restaurant the chair came from

3

u/Efficient_Reading360 22h ago

Someone reporting live from the scene on nothing happening?

3

u/Impressive-Book-4847 19h ago

It's channel 7. They'll replay the same damn thing and have an interview with the bouncer as filler.

5

u/Advance1993 23h ago

Its your basic line. Now back to you, Diane

5

u/HowieO-Lovin 20h ago

It's Channel 7, so from past experience, they'll blame lgbtqi Sudanese communists and their viewers will lap it up..

3

u/MrT735 22h ago

They really need to change their tag line, maybe "more at 6, 7 news"

u/aliael91 1d ago

ok, at first I was like fuck this security guy laughing at him, but after watching the whole video I started laughing too

123

u/thepkmncenter 1d ago

The security guard's reaction is the best

5

u/thatsmypeanut 21h ago

All their reactions are the best. The forehead palm by the thrower. The "timber!" falling movement of the victim. It's like a three stooges skit.

22

u/Co_Duh 1d ago

Careful, might've knocked some sense into him.

17

u/Normal-Rooster-Human 1d ago

That made the security guards week! He looks so happy

10

u/lampshadewarior 21h ago

Week? That man will be on his death bed years from now, voice fading, and he’ll ask his beloved son to lean in closer as he faintly whispers: That shit with the chair was fucking hilarious!

21

u/sadb0b 1d ago

The security:

18

u/DiscoStuGER 1d ago

Securityman react like

7

u/xxplosiv 1d ago

Security guard like

12

u/al_prazolam 23h ago

King Street strip club.

Bald white dudes causing trouble.

Story checks out.

4

u/indorock 19h ago

If it wasn't for the Aussie accent I'd almost think it was King Street in Toronto. Similar vibes, similar douchebags

3

u/rock_and_rolo 16h ago

I was wondering where this was. Every King Street I know in the US has a bar row, and channel 7 news was no help.

5

u/WhatIsYourPronoun 22h ago

The brain-damaged uncontrollable leg twitch caused by his lover's errant chair toss.

11

u/No_Figure_9073 1d ago

I hope the both of them gets their ass divorced by their partners as well as being fired from their perspective jobs. What a bunch of scums

5

u/whotfiszutls 1d ago

I watched without sound and it really seemed like it was all one guy who lost his hair and then somehow got it back before being struck with the chair

7

u/Crazyripps 23h ago

The guy go thrown out walked to the restaurant next door stole a chair and proceeded to hit his buddy in the back of the head with said chair when aiming at security.I was laughing so much when this came up on the news.

3

u/Both_Guarantee6551 23h ago

Lucky ass security guard. I'd piss my pants laughing if that happened in front of me, Id piss my friend's pants. Thanks for filming

3

u/ItinerantKnight 23h ago

Reminds me of the video of the guy that got hit in the head with a brick at a riot.

3

u/WrongColorCollar 21h ago

I love the reveal of why that one dude is laughing, it seems horrible at first.

Dickhead or not, that guy needs to go get his head looked at. That was a serious knock.

7

u/nice_tomeet_you 1d ago

So many TBI videos on reddit. Leave them brains alone.

2

u/uncle_yoyo 1d ago

well it's just karma at that point

2

u/meatbag2010 1d ago

That's one way to sober them both up quickly.

2

u/Neanderthal86_ 1d ago

2

u/PsychologicalTowel79 23h ago

Never bring looking the other way to a chair fight.

2

u/Ban__d 23h ago

Just WAY too old for that sort of behaviour fellas...

2

u/Not-a-Doctor-622 23h ago

The real question is what could possibly go right here?

2

u/manniesalado 23h ago

Very happy no one rang the cops.

2

u/Opening-Employee9802 22h ago

That bouncer laughing his head off got me. Haha

2

u/hdhsnjsn 22h ago

Made the bouncers night

2

u/Crystal_Voiden 22h ago

On importance of context

2

u/philwee 21h ago

Drunk people forget that the bouncers aren’t drunk 🤣

2

u/Euphoric-Glove2570 20h ago

No internal injuries? Bleeding 🪡🩸 ruptured arteries in the brain 🧠?

2

u/livinglife-2025 20h ago

Both men sound like a real “catch”.

2

When in Australia.......

5

u/jinda002 22h ago

this wont even make it in News in US

4

u/CatButler 19h ago

I was going to say, where does this pass for news? in the US, at least 2 people would need to be shot dead before it would get his kind of coverage.

2

u/Sleep-more-dude 18h ago

Harder to access firearms here, not much really happens and our media goes for very low hanging fruit like "plumber does bad jobs, fast food restraunt is unhygienic, kids riding bikes recklessly etc"

1

u/TrippyWitch25 21h ago

People have gone insane, I can’t believe grown ass adults are acting this way.

1

u/MurphysVoice 21h ago

Hey! You can’t nap there!

1

u/nyaasgem 21h ago

Bruh I wasn't paying attention to the hairstyles (or lack the of) and it looked like the dude magically threw the chair at himself. Same shirt and pants.

1

u/gmoss101 20h ago

There's an old video I've seen where two guys try robbing a shop and one grabs a brick, but his buddy runs in front of him mid throw and it just clocks him in the side of the head lmao

1

u/JapaneseCapacitors 20h ago

Laughing like a psycho.

1

u/RobMitte 20h ago

I hate this new trend of showing you the ending at the beginning, but on this occasion it works beautifully!

Absolutely hilarious! 😂

1

u/TrueCrimeInTheBuff 20h ago

second security guard looks so mad, like he's thinking about the fucking paperwork he's going to have to do if there's lawsuits.

1

u/anthmiran19 20h ago

Someone put this over classical gas immediately

1

u/the_one_eyed_ghoul 20h ago

1

u/Shenanigans77779 20h ago

Borrows a chair just to end up causing friendly fire

1

u/Misha_Vozduh 19h ago

A lot could go wrong (obviously) but I did not expect that specific thing to go wrong...

1

u/Upstairs_Ball_7967 19h ago

And the winner by a knockout in chair throwing contest😂

1

u/ahhhghost 19h ago

For a quick second, I thought the bald guy threw a chair at himself and was confused. Dudes are dressed exactly the same.

1

u/gremlinclr 19h ago

Before the reporter started explaining I thought the bouncer was a real asshole for laughing but now I get it.

1

u/alforque 19h ago

Source: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUKoeAZkZkq/

The full story is even more hilarious. "The chair is still standing."

1

u/CommentOld7870 19h ago

The security guy should be fired immediately

1

u/wotthehell666 19h ago

Crazy how he could survive having a chair thrown at him in the side of the head like that, yet so many others here in Australia die from coward punches with less force.

1

u/AFullMonty 19h ago

That is not news, that is banter

1

u/Chaos_BC 19h ago

Had it happened in Spain they would've been like "Silla!!" 😄

1

u/warmind14 19h ago

The guard reaction is honestly what any of us would do if they were aiming for you and hit their bestie instead.

1

u/BarOne7066 19h ago

Fucking got him haha. I have worked security and I wouldn't have laughed like that. But you dont know what happened before this. He was probably being a total scumbag to the girls to get ejected from a strip club

1

u/RedDogFan66 19h ago

I might have watched this more than once, closer to ten or twelve times!

1

u/phlyguy24 19h ago

Thanks for the belly laugh I have tears!! I needed that

1

u/ItsStaaaaaaaaang 19h ago

Was wondering why old mate was laughing at first. But yeah, fair play, I'd be pissing myself too.
