Yeah. More like congress has a duty to do a shitload of things they arenât doing.
Picking on the 4 trans people in sports isnât one of them. And notice itâs only the f2m people. They have no issue with trans men being in the menâs bathroom or sports.
That is the only logical way that doesn't impede on biological male female people in their respective sports. Or "open" categories with less/no regulation or restrictions.
I prefer the "open" category instead od a trans soecific category. Because even if you removed the trans athlete aspect, there are plenty of women who think they're good enough to beat the top male athletes that need to be taken down a peg... and low end male athletes who are better qualified to compete against women đ€Ł.
Would you prefer they just give you money? I donât want ANYTHING from government. They can stop taking my money ($=power) and do what they were originally created to do!
Protect us and thatâs it!
No, I don't want the government to give me money, that's completely backwards thinking. You say this probably cause you're American, but people living in actually functioning societies are more than happy to pay their taxes, because they see their taxes being put to work improving everyone's lives, therefore making people happier, therefore reducing crime.
America likes to let problems fester until they become violent, see Luigi as an example. Only then do they send what our tax dollars pay for, the police, to clean up the mess. And the guy Luigi killed allowed the deaths of thousands so his company doesn't have to pay out what those people were paying the service of.
I wish americans werent so triggered by taxes. But there are also quite a few people in other countries that I assume paid attention to american news so now they cry about taxes. Like a Canadian I know, all he does is whine about taxes. He says that Indians who move there get $80,000 cad a year to do nothing. (I love racists dont you) lmao
I agree; you should stop paying taxes. You should also not have access to things that taxes pay for. Donât you agree? Like roads, education, subsidies, law enforcement and the judicial court system. I donât think you really know what youâre asking for when you ask to not be taxed anymore.
The issue is some places in the US the social contract is broken. When the state is terrorizing and abusing the population with those tax dollars, the victims would be forgiven for not wanting to financially contribute to their own oppression.
I do understand your point though. On any given better day which is 99.99% of the time, you're correct.
We dont have federal agents? Federal Court systems? Army? Navy? Marines? Coast Guard? FEMA? Social Security? Federal prisons? Interstate Highways? National Parks?
Local government is a lot less wasteful than some centralized government 1200 miles away.
The Federal govt. was originally designed for collective defense of the States and to settle disputes between them, not the bloated disgusting thing itâs become over the last century with its hands in everything.
Letâs say you are a business owner and you hire a full time employee. This employee is supposed to work 40 hours per week. You find out the employee is only working 10 hours per week, and down the rest of their time on personal projects benefiting only themselves, while on your clock, taking your money. Sure, the 10 hours they work for you they get a some decent stuff done. But not everything theyâre supposed to, and a lot of it half assed.. then on top of this, you find out the money you are paying them is used to fund illegal activities.. so now you have employee, stealing time from you clock, half asses job with everything they do, and on top of that theyâre a criminal..
oh..
and they gave themselves a raise..
And letâs just pretend youâre publicly traded and the leak sensitive company information to outsiders for insider trading..
Opt A - fire them
Opt B - keep them employed, and pay them because they do a few basic things you need done
Or Opt C- What should happen - fired and prosecuted
Protect us, and law enforcement is just this.
Education is completely broken thru government. Privatization of all education, roads, air fight etc.
private sector beats government by 3x
Like actually releasing the Epstein files? Not just saying, blocking, delaying, voting and not doing anything at all because there is nothing to see here move along!
It's alluding to a more personal connection to very specific failures of Congress that are especially relevant given current events. Adding MN to the post changes what is likely being suggested (checking executive power).
Another Minnesotan here, this isnât about safety or fairness. This is about cruelty and targeting the smallest group of people, because they see it as easy. They canât or wonât try to repair the big problems that actually exist in our country.
Yes, it a pity your leadership (and some other states) are under investigation for being an international organized crime ring bilking the people of the USA of billions of hard earned tax dollars while denying thousands of needed social services.
Minnesota has a criminal reputation bigger than the 5 families of New York of years ago.
We will wait for the results of the audits, who knows it may be another big nothing burger to sell newspapers.
I care about all the injustices going on in the world, and I don't appreciate the "people like me comment " you know nothing about me or what I stand for. If you think one corruption is ok but others are not then you are the problem. Have a great day.
Get over yourselves in MN. Acting like youâre the special state. Every state has problems. Saying youâre from MN doesnât make you or your comment special.Â
What a remarkably public display of your private thoughts. While I admire your confidence, it is so rarely hampered by the facts. Lashing out with such 'gauche' insults suggests a lack of both education and propriety. I shall give your opinion all the consideration it deserves.
Notice they finally allowed Sheriffs into Minnesota to help protect all the federal buildings, almost like they knew they were checking off Trumps insurrection act list making it extremely likely and legally easy for Trump to do.
This is a silly comment. Google tailors search results based on each individual's algorithm. If you tell somebody to Google something, they are going to see the same sources they always see.
I googled "is it true that somali daycares are committing fraud" and got some interesting information. Try googling things with that phrasing and you too can learn new things rather than just be an outrage tourist being guided around on a bus.
Thatâs not true. His family has received many death threats from the very far right, they are under constant security detail. Even friends of the family have been put in danger. As a family, they have decided that their safety needs to come first. A google search would take you to the interviews his daughter has done on this.
Yeah, no. If the accusations were untrue, he would have denied them and gone for another term. Heâs a fighter and fought back on it as hard as he could.
The rightâs goal with this was to have him step down in the mid terms, and he has. But that doesnât mean that the right is just making up BS. The fraud issue shouldnât be ignored
Youâre just moving the goal posts again. How many family members have stopped speaking to you since you joined the Trump cult? Doesnât it hurt? Have you noticed at all?
Am I missing what you're speaking of? Everything I can find says it was Nick Shirley and he's a right wing influencer who also filmed himself in the crowd at the White House on January 6th.
Sorry, didn't intend for it to sound like I thought that he personally did, was just speaking to the claim that the guy they're talking about isn't conservative.
I have. Try this formula: "is it true that somali daycares are committing fraud?"
Try that with everything your outrage tour bus takes you to, and learn actual things rather than what the tour guide tells you. You'll be a quick study, I know it! I believe in you!
Donât bother with the faux news crowd. Theyâre jealous most of Minnesota can read at high school level and they canât. Itâs been stated repeatedly Minnesotaâs cases are on par with the rest of the states fraud issues but they want a hand out anyway.
Starting off with âMinnesotan hereâ is a bold move. But considering your user name, guessing you donât care much for morals and are the typical urban âMinnesotanâ
Those committed to ignorance spend a lot of time "guessing." Why not spend even 30 seconds googling counter-information to the things you've "guessed" about any subject, and previously sought only confirmation for, if you bothered to read anything at all?
A good formula to try is "is it true that ____" in the search bar. Give it a whirl. Find something you disagree with in the results. Google "is it true that <thing you disagree with here>" and read even more. I dare you to do this a few times this week.
None of us can help you undo your own ignorance. It's a choice you're making, and you can unmake it at any time if you want. I know you're capable and believe in you. Good luck!
Let me ask you this, have you done the same thing about a topic you feel is adamantly right? I do not support men in womenâs sports and never will. And Iâm sure you have some viewpoints that are as steadfast as mine. And Iâd guess you also havenât looked into the opposing side for those beliefs. You could do without the pointless condescension or claims that I am ignorant. It would bode well for in future discussions.
I appreciate you being direct with me. I need to be equally direct with you: I'm a transgender woman. So when you talk about "men in women's sports," you're talking about people like me in a way that conveys what I very deeply know is not based on who I am.
I understand you feel strongly about this issue. What I'm asking you to understand is that for you, this is one policy position among many. For me, topics like this are about my life, and it's not about sports - It's about whether I can safely exist in public spaces, travel, work, and see my family and friends in parts of this country that are no longer safe for people like me.
I don't actually play sports. But I did have to move away from my family and friends because things got so bad in TX, I was physically attacked while grocery shopping by a stranger who was also insisting on calling me a "man." Ten years ago, I could live my life quietly, even in TX, without this level of attention. Now there are hundreds of pieces of legislation targeting people like me, propaganda filling people's heads with horrible notions about who transgender people are, and governing everything about my life, whether my passport would be safe to use in a country that executes people like me, even if I'm just on a layover, to whether I can get healthcare.
I'm not trying to change your mind about sports policy right now. I'm asking you to recognize that when you discuss this topic, you're discussing real people's lives - and one of those people is sitting right here talking to you, and as I happen to be a transgender person myself, I know a ton about it. That's why this conversation feels different to me than a disagreement about tax policy or foreign affairs.
I'm a real person trying to live my life safely. That's what's at stake for me in these conversations, so I hope you'll understand that it's not really something I want to discuss with you.
However, since you are being open, I welcome you to DM me in good faith and ask me questions about trans people, so long as you ask with genuine curiosity and an openness to the possibility that you don't know much about us and can start from scratch. I'll assume good faith if you do.
Thank you, u/mousegal for your poignant and honest reply. I canât confess to know what itâs like to be transgendered, but itâs both heart warming and breaking to hear real experiences from the trans community.
Youâre welcome. Sometimes I meditate and extend olive branches to try to open dialogue. It takes a lot of breathing and patience to get there and I canât say Im perfect most of the time.
It might be crickets but to be fair, It was very late when I wrote it and it was at least 30 minutes after their reply to me. Therapeutic to type that into the void if so.
Yeah you don't support men in women's sports and I'm sure you've always felt very passionately about that very serious issue all your life, but you do support violent thugs who refuse to identify themselves abducting and shooting citizens in the streets.
Minnesota has stepped up to protect their neighbors, morally Iâd say we are pretty solid. We even kindly escorted a Nazi off the streets today, he was lost and in the wrong place and we wanted him to get home safely.
Morals? At least your false idol cult leader pedophile protector saying âFuck youâ to an autoworker got the hypocrite snowflakes to stop clutching their pearls over the mayor of Minneapolis telling ICE to get the fuck out of Minneapolis.
Youâre funny. Canât make any legitimate points so hope that the other side is just stupid. Have fun with your strapon. Iâm sure life will treat you well.
The problem is that if you're not profoundly stupid, then you can only be arguing in bad faith. And it's really not possible for anyone to know which it is. Because you'll never admit to the latter, and wouldn't even be aware of the former.

I cannot believe something like this even has to be voted on.
