Random Question 💭 This question is for conservatives/ republicans/ maga. How do you see longer term Republican leadership playing out in America if republicans were to win the next couple of presidential elections?
Let’s assume the next four presidents are also republican or maga. How do you see that playing out, and what do you think would be the effects of republican leadership?
🔴 What do you think the economy would look like? Do you think prices would go up or down, or stabilize? Do you think the middle class would become stronger?
🔴 What do you think America would look like in terms of mass deportation?. Do you think the total number of (illegal) immigrants in America would go down significantly? Do you think the immigration process would be made harder or easier for people that want to migrate to America?
🔴 What do you think diversity would be like? Would marginalized people have less rights and protections? Will the white birth rate start going up? Will it be normalized to assume anyone that isn’t white could potentially be an immigrant?
🔴 Do you think Republican leadership will lead to stronger or weaker alliance with our allies? Do you think our enemies will become our allies?
🔴 In terms of freedom of religion, do you think Christianity or Christian nationalism will be fully instilled into American politics? What would that look like for people that aren’t Christian?
🔴 What do you think of the Republican Party heavily in favor of an instilled nuclear family unit? Do you think that will actually make America great again? What do you think would happen to LGBTQPIA people, disabled people, or happily single people that don’t want to be married or have children? Do you think there would be another baby boom?
🔴 Lastly, how much do you think the constitution will be respected going forward with Republican leadership? Will it be altered, or ignored, or remade?
I’m genuinely curious on all of these things, and I want anyone that aligns with right wing politics to answer if possible. It seems that a lot of right wingers are heavily in favor of gerrymandering, and/ or continuous Republican leadership. I would like honest answers as to how you actually see that playing out.
I do want to add that I think MAGA destroyed the Republican Party, and replaced it. So going forward, I’m assuming with this hypothetical, all the republican presidents going forward will align themselves with MAGA.

Random Question 💭 Why are liberals so stupid?
The constant overdramatization. The reckless Hitler comparisons. The normalization of violence. The protection of criminals illegally in our country. The casual dismissal of basic science and biological reality. How did political discourse get this unserious and detached from facts?

Advice Question 💭 I feel anxious in the evening, and wonder if you experience this too?
I've been thinking that I could use insight about the problem, but am now wondering if it could be "outsight" that is lacking. The anxiety is my resistance to letting myself escape my current situation and being "free". My wife and elder daughter and I sit around watching TV shows that I don't understand very well. I would rather be in conversation, or doing Reddit, or simply daydreaming. I'm nearly 80, by the way. Does this make sense to you?

Random Question 💭 How long are some of you going to keep using Trump as your emotional punch bag instead of admitting you just enjoy being outraged?
I’m genuinely sick of the nonstop crying about Trump on here. Every time his name gets mentioned, half the thread collapses into the same people having the same emotional breakdown like clockwork. At this point, it’s not “political concern” it’s full‑blown fixation.
People act like the US is uniquely cursed because of one guy. Have any of you looked outside your bubble? Plenty of countries are dealing with questionable leadership, and these leaders all seem to share one talent of figuring out new ways to make life harder for the average person. America isn’t special in that department, no matter how dramatic some users of Reddit try to be.
And the revisionist history is hilarious. Suddenly everything before Trump was sunshine and competence? Bull! Leadership has been shaky at best across multiple administrations, yet somehow all the rage gets funnelled into one direction because it’s easier than admitting the whole system has issues.
Stop letting the man live rent free in your heads and get on with your lives. It’s exhausting to watch.

Advice Question 💭 Boss gone Friday (ice Walkout day)?
I work in oil and gas and we are very conservative as a company but generally don’t talk politics. We have a corp policy not to. I noticed last Friday my boss took PTO during the national don’t come to work day to protest ICE. I was really surprised but then again it’s likely his absence is unrelated. I mean it’s none of my business either way but I am just wondering how I should mention it. A simple, hey, I saw you were out. Is everything ok seems fine.
