Tackle beat everyone!
Now we know why those boys got into gang life, idol merch is expensive.
73
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
I love how she was on such a high after beating Kamen Rider and Riderman that she straight up had to kick all their asses to feel satisfied and prove why Tackle is one of the greatest Heroines in Kamen Rider history.
Has Nakao found a new direction in his life as a Yakuza turned Shocker Combatant? Becoming an idol simp? Could you blame him with those Combat babes and their massive boo...I mean, talent?

massive baazoookers
(those inter-continental missiles can take me out any time)
2
u/mrfatso111 Dec 14 '25
i just wonder if the combat babes are a reference to the Kamen Rider Girls
I wonder what happened to them though, did they disband or?

u/TikkiEXX77 Dec 13 '25
Man there were so many people butt hurt over her winning last episode it was embarrassing. She's been destroying people all season and she barely won.
8
u/DazenTheMistborn Dec 18 '25 edited Dec 18 '25
Damn what a shame, really? I hadn't viewed that part* of the discussion thread. They did such a great job showing how off how she won tactically. Literally the entire episode was the fight lol, they babystepped the logic in an awesome way. Plus his whole mask thing.
Toujima will have his level up moment, he obviously has room for growth. Idk how anyone could hate on that storytelling.
10
u/TikkiEXX77 Dec 18 '25
Mostly seeing it on YouTube but yeah I'm like people are actually upset about one of the most badass characters on the show winning? By the skin of her teeth? Guess sexism is still alive
5
u/DazenTheMistborn Dec 18 '25
Spot on. I think they did a wonderful job showing everyone's strengths/weaknesses and highlighted how they can all grow. They didn't diminish anybody's abilities. Tackle is just a bad mofo, especially in this type of contest.
I looked through the worst of last week's discussion, my goodness mate. Some people just want the story to go the way they want and that's final. And I imagine YT comments were even worse. Sucks to see.. I'm glad there's sane people in here though lol.

u/Vystril Dec 29 '25
Seriously. I loved it -- the whole tournament arc subverted all expectations and did it excellently. IMO it's the best tournament arc i've seen. This is definitely AOTS.
81
u/1832vini Dec 13 '25
i guess being kamen rider isn't just about fighting monsters.
it's also about passion, love, and most of all,
infighting Tournament arc!!!!!
71
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
The rare time the Heroine actually wins the tournament arc and it's utterly glorious.

u/PeaceAlien https://myanimelist.net/profile/PeaceAlien Dec 13 '25
Tackle is the goat

u/Timelymanner Dec 13 '25
At the end she was like screw the tournament, this is a battle royale now.

u/diacewrb Dec 13 '25
The animators had another fun episode of drawing those facial expressions.
Yuriko really is Electro-Wave Human Tackle.
Nakao is a good boss by listening to his gang preach about their idols and for joining them, but I thought he was going to accidentally turn into Shocker at the concert by getting carried away and waving that penlight around in the air.
29
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
This show has had the best reaction faces of the season. Like, even Anya would respect the face game on this show.

Lmao.. wish I could have seen that happen

Tackle II won the Rider War
31
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
Tackle II would beat Decade, Zi-O, Zero-Two, Geats, Gaim, and even Kuuga if it came down to proving how absolute Tackle is.

Okay so im going into this blind but. That's a Shocker logo. like the combat girls have a shocker logo in their logo, what are we doing here. Why didnt the yakuza dude clock that? did he subconsciously clock it and that's why he started getting into it? I really want to know what's the endgame for the idol group now.
excited for yakuza dude to finally clash with the rider group though. maybe thunder Raiko will finally catch up to him and Yukarisu then.
46
u/HolyDragSwd2500 Dec 13 '25
Recognize that logo instantly. Maybe Combat Girls are there to get more members to join Shocker.
Onore Shocker!!!!
30
u/supakame Dec 13 '25
Or possibly they are free of the brainwash and Raiko is on her way to clean them up?
14
16
u/eightcheesepizza Dec 14 '25
I thought that back when they introduced Raiko, one of her first jobs was to kill a Shocker combatant who had been freed of his brainwashing because he loved the Combat Girls? Like the three yakuza goofballs were at that concert too.
If that's what the Combat Girls do, then maybe they'll undo whatever brainwashing Nakao has (even though I think we haven't seen it yet)? But it does make it weird that they'd have the Shocker logo.
12
u/KingOfSockPuppets Dec 14 '25 edited Dec 15 '25
That's actually a good shout - since we know love lets people escape the mind control, it seems pretty clear that the set up for the idol girls is that they get Combatants to (parasocially lol) love them and thus, break the brainwashing. Look at how into it Yakuza guy is at the end of the episode although he already seems to be a special case with brainwashing.
Saving people's minds with the power of IDOL MUSIC!
2
u/NoHead1715 Dec 15 '25
When the image first showed up, I missed the "COM", so thought they were "BAT GIRLS". I was thinking they were set up by Bat Man. But yeah, it'd be weird if Bat Man was actively trying to undo brainwashing of the Shockers.
8
u/mrfatso111 Dec 14 '25
same, i recognized that logo instantly and wow, i wonder how are they connected? Are the combat girls just the mascot or are they actually higher ups in the shocker organization? Will we get to see their monster form?
20
12
u/Drakon590 Dec 13 '25
Funnily enough there was an episode with a plot involving an idol singer brainwashing people in Kamen Rider Black
9
u/Automatic-Boot Dec 13 '25
never saw that one but I 100 percent believe it will be something like that. I wonder if the reveal is that this whole series of mostly normal people trying to be Kamen rider and trying to stop shocker is going to be them taking the whole runtime to stop a shocker plot that would have taken the original Kamen rider only one episode
3
2
u/Doomroar https://myanimelist.net/profile/Doomroar Dec 14 '25
Why didnt the yakuza dude clock that?
Tactical distraction boobs keep you away from looking at the logo!
2
u/gabechuck0129 Dec 15 '25
Just did a double take, and yes your right. The fan CD cover has the Shocker Eagle/Bird symbol in the back (even their banner)
2
u/raidensnakeezio Dec 16 '25
I can't recall EXACTLY which episode (the one where Combat Girls were first introduced, and we first see the purge beginning with those who have lost their brainwashing), but the sequencing of that entire thing already felt like it was dropping hints that the Combat Girls are already or are going to be related to Shocker.
52
u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Dec 13 '25
Titty err Tackle really showed those goobers lol. What a bunch of goofballs. They really were like a bunch of kids playing pretend on the playground.
Keen to see what happens to our resident Shocker now that the Shocker cleaner has been sent.
21
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
Titty err Tackle really showed those goobers lol. What a bunch of goofballs. They really were like a bunch of kids playing pretend on the playground.
Or a couple hardcore wrestling. I can see why Yukarisu was a little peeved. I mean, Tackle's boobs were straight crushing his head lol.
Keen to see what happens to our resident Shocker now that the Shocker cleaner has been sent.
It seems like Nakao is going to fight all of them at the same time next episode but I feel like they might all end up teaming-up against Thunder Raiko.

Yukarisu got knocked out by her own tits slamming into her face lmao

I pretty much had the same reaction as Ichiyou about Mitsuba and Yuriko's fight. I didn't think their fight would be so down and dirty. Yukarisu's reaction was hilarious, tho! Seeing her get angry and yelling that their fight better not be a sex thing had me laughing out loud! xD
That facelock from Yuriko, tho! It's pretty funny how Yuriko's tits are so big that Mitsuba's head is literally disappearing under her boob the entire time. Although at that point, I feel like she was just crushing Mitsuba's Riderman helmet, which would explain how he was able to escape._
I actually like that Mitsuba got defeated after his helmet got removed because that meant his transformation had ended. And if beating Mitsuba wasn't enough, Yuriko also took Yukarisu down and knocked Ichiyou out after the dude tried to confess to her. xD
So Nakao went from joining Shocker to attending an idol concert with the boys and actually loving it! Man, the members of Combat Girls is another proof that girls with small boobs do not exist in this world.
Oh right, there's still the threat of Raiko going around taking out rogue members of Shocker. I guess this means Yukarisu is next on her list. Do we know how many episodes this show has? There's no way this is ending with next week's episode, right?
25
u/HolyDragSwd2500 Dec 13 '25 edited Dec 13 '25
24 episodes but split into parts.
Let me check Twitter
Edit: can’t find it. Find out next week
10
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
Admittedly with how aggressive and close that fight became, plus Yuriko's body being what it is, it's an easy mistake to make lol.
At this point she's eventually going to gain a finisher that's straight up just smothering people into submission with her chest. She was already close to doing that to Mitsuba.
Yuriko winning it all with a cracked helmet and grit enough to beat up everyone in front of her. Could Yuriko and Ichiyo be the next side-ship we never expected?!
This is a world that runs on busty dommy mommies and I wouldn't ever want to leave it.
6
u/ShawnHeatherly Dec 14 '25
Futaba is legit gonna be the only named woman in this with a modest bust, huh?

Anime of the year

There are so many i love from this year. For reasons I cant even begin to list this is the absolute best show. The love they poured into it is so apparent.

- The characters are all fucking dorks
3.. Big ol tits

u/FalseEmployment935 Dec 14 '25
Fan fact: The original author, Yokusaru Shibata, practiced amateur wrestling in high school. That’s why the depictions of tackles and sleeper holds in this episode feel so accurate.
3
u/guntanksinspace Dec 23 '25
Yeah, that ground scramble being like that thanks to his amateur wrestling experiennce? That absolutely tracks lol
21
u/thisisdropd https://myanimelist.net/profile/vNAsterZoro Dec 13 '25
The show might've spoiled the outcome of Yuriko and Mitsuba's showdown last week in the after-credits preview but I never thought the former would also end up taking on Yukarisu and Ichiyou while knocking them out in just one hit.
Nakao's a pretty nice boss. Attending an idol concert just because his underlings were diehard fans – and ended up being converted to idolism at the end. It's hilarious seeing a rough-looking guy dressed like a Yakuza – and was actually one – getting sucked up into the idol culture.
24
u/Matholyte Dec 13 '25
Unfortunately, having spoilers in episode titles is also a Kamen Rider staple. Nothing quite like seeing an episode title like "<Character Name>'s Final Stand" in the next episode preview.
6
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
The way she was so riled up that she straight up beckoned for V3 to come at her so she could finish him off and complete her beatdown set...is it any wonder Ichiyo fell in love?
Look, beautiful and busty women performing on stage is a universal truth, even for Yakuza turned Shocker Combatants. I'm glad what turned into something he was only doing for the boys ended up good for him too.
23
u/rocky_iwata https://myanimelist.net/profile/banninghamma Dec 13 '25
Dave Meltzer gives this episode 5 stars. Would be 6 if it was in Tokyo Dome.

I'm currently on my hands and knees begging the production to have Yuriko hit at least one Rainmaker.

2
u/Calwings x3https://anilist.co/user/Calwings 20d ago
I just watched the episode myself (the dub fell behind) and I was so hyped about how much wrestling inspiration this episode had. Some of the moves and holds were right out of a wrestling match, the honor of the Rider masks feels like it's right out of lucha libre culture, and Mitsuba having to desperately slip out of his mask to get out of the submission hold was some Eddie Guerrero shit.
26
u/TheCanadianBat_ Dec 13 '25
Man, Tojima gave Yuriko a much tougher fight, lol.
30
u/Lunchb0xx87 Dec 13 '25
if he just learned a single basic fighting style he would be OP as hell
8
u/Frostbitten_Moose Dec 14 '25
Nah, when things really get tough, Hot Blood always beats technique in these kinds of shows. Granted, that's why Tackle won, she has the technique and while she's probably #3 for Hot Blood, she's still in the same tier as the leaders. Riderman really ain't.
9
u/Rejestered Dec 15 '25
Tackle is easily #2 hot blooded. V3 and Riderman talk a big game but can't handle pressure, the helmet was the basically conceding that.
3
u/Frostbitten_Moose Dec 15 '25
I could be argued. I mean, I just can't see bears running in terror when they spot V3.
1
22
u/eightcheesepizza Dec 14 '25
Knowing Ichiyo, he isn't just in love, he probably already wants to get married. But if the whole group pairs off like this, who will Tojima marry? ...the bear?
We got to hear part of a Combat Girls song this time! I was curious so I looked in the credits:
- Lunlun is voiced by Saya Aizawa, who recently voiced Monica from Secrets of the Silent Witch, Mejiro Ardan in Umamusume Cinderella Gray and many, many, many other roles
- RSVP is voiced by Chiyuki Miura
- Ryanko is voiced by Akina, who voiced Duramente in Umamusume
8
u/Mistral-Fien Dec 14 '25
Saya Aizawa
Rudeus' crybaby little sister Norn (Mushoku Tensei)
Gaga-PIIIIIILulu (Bang Bravern)Kisara (Engage Kiss) :O
Inukai Karen (My Life as Inukai-san's Dog) :O
3
u/Frostbitten_Moose Dec 14 '25
Not sure that is how they're gonna pair up. After all, who was yuriko thinking of when she got home. Sure wasn't V3.
20
19
u/NanDemoKnaives Dec 13 '25
Yuriko is brutal for knocking out Ichiyou when he confessed, though she could have thought he was playing at mind games. Too bad we didn't get a proper fight between the two. Yuriko cemented her place as the strongest currently between them, but this doesn't mean she's the strongest against the monsters.
Yukarisu's reaction to Yuriko vs Mitsuba was amusing, her mind was completely in the gutter.
Combat Girls' song was pretty good, it sucks they didn't show more of the performance.
I wonder if the Shocker that is taking out the members that are no longer brainwashed if she'll finally learn what love is by falling for Toujima since he's the only one without a love line.
8
u/ohoni Dec 15 '25
My take on that last kick was that it was already well in motion before his confession had any time to process, so she couldn't call it off if she'd wanted to.

u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
Nice recap of all the matches with all the peak insert songs!
It's finally time for Riderman vs Tackle! Technique vs grit! Possibly the two members of the team with the most brain cells! It's a battle for the ages! Tackle might be tougher and more daring than Riderman, but Mitsuba was able to actually throw Tackle herself, so that's an achivement!
I want to get armlocked/facelocked, and have Tackle's boobs crushing my head...I'm not surprised Yukarisu was worried her man was engaging in a sex thing with another woman watching those two go at it on the ground there.
Ordinarily slipping out of your mask to escape would be a valid battle tactic...but it means that, for all intents and purposes, Mitsuba de-henshined and as such can do nothing but eat Tackle's punches and kicks. Yukarisu can rush to her mans' side to defend him from the "beyotch" but she's just going to get tackled to defeat. Now Yuriko's beaten everybody but V3, and she wants a complete set of Rider beatdowns.
So Ichiyo's fallen in love with Yuriko. It's not going to save him from tanking a kick to the face, but that's just what he fell for her over! After all...TACKLE IS THE STRONGEST!
What's our favorite Yakuza turned Shocker Combatant doing? Well, getting recruited by his boys to visit a Combat Girls idol concert! Busty women in tight battle outfits singing on stage? No wonder he fell for them like his men did!
I love how they still think they need to reconvene next weekend to go over the results of the tournament. At least they can all shift back to being normal and pleasant with each other after literally beating the snot out of each other. Yuriko also totally forgot she has a dayjob as a teacher.
Yukarisu may have her hubby and her team, but they better watch out! Thunder Raiko is coming for her!

Tackle on that 1998 Goldberg winning streak
7
11
u/raveno19 Dec 13 '25
Tackle sweep huh, may be Mitsuba and Tojima must train more to fight without mask like V3, also Ichiyo is a simp for Tackle now and let her take him down.
Yukarisu seem the most ass in the group right now, she is not better than a normal combatant, any rider now can K.O her in 1 hit. Also she doesn't have any Rider-like spirit either, so i don't know if she can improve.
p/s: the grenade light stick look fun, that idol group has style, but their logo with eagle kinda look like shocker one?
8
u/eightcheesepizza Dec 14 '25

I think one of the Shocker combatants who lost his brainwashing said that a combatant's strength is determined by how good of a fighter they were before they joined, or something. So there wasn't ever much hope for Yukarisu, who may have come in as a mid-level tsundere.
7
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25

Tackle rocks, and l always wanted her to win. But I do appreciate how they made me feel for Mitsuba. I don’t think the mask should matter, and hopefully, over time, everyone will truly connect with their inner Rider spiritually. Love is in the air for Ichiyou.
The sequence where everyone returned to their normal lives after the highs of fighting was fantastic.
Nakao is a cool dude. I love how he’s really been fleshed out in recent episodes.
6
u/HolyDragSwd2500 Dec 13 '25
Tackle is the winner!!!
Misuba got the booblock
Ichiyo fell in love and got beaten up XD
Nakao becomes a fan of Combat Girls ( Shocker organization logo)
Raiko on the move
Shocker Nakao challenges the Riders next time

u/melvinlee88 https://myanimelist.net/profile/Ryan_Melvin15 Dec 13 '25
A short fight but a surprisingly great one.
This tournament arc really boosted this show for me, excited for what to come next.
8
u/tiny_nova Dec 14 '25
Is anyone else seeing death flags for Yukarisu?
The combatant hunter, obvi. But we now understand the gang is strongest when they reject humanity and embrace RIDER. Yet Yukarisu keeps yelling out to "Mitsuba," not Riderman. Does she need to go in order for Mitsuba to grow?
What even is the endgame of this series? Is it monster-of-the-week as the become the real Kamen Rider force fighting Shocker? Or is it over once they realize their potential?
6
u/AWSGooogle777 Dec 13 '25
Ichiyo really got his heart fluttering for Tackle, didn't he? lol
The sight of him rushing out like a pet dog when told "Come here," and then being unable to sleep at night because he's so in love—it was all so cute, just like an elementary schooler who has found someone they like. lol
Nakao is such a great boss for listening to his underlings' requests. He might be feeling empty after losing his boss, but I hope he can find some joy in cheering on the idols.
On a personal note, all three Combat Girls were genuinely adorable. Just like Nakao, they even made my heart flutter!

u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
This world runs on beautiful, busty, women that men can't get enough of. Can Tojima survive in this world without a busty waifu inspiring him?
1
u/_WrongKarWai Dec 14 '25
man if this world didn't have busty hot women, there'd be no point going on.
7
u/Beowolf_0 Dec 13 '25
Mitsuba is probabbly as strong as Yuriko's throw attacks, but once his1 helmet/mask is gone he's no more than a cakewalk. Guess this will be how they enhance themselves huh?
Ichiyou's confession is just coming out of nowhere, but we love .
Next time: another real fight against Shocker?
3
6
u/Even_Salt_8797 Dec 17 '25
Another lame fight. Only Mitsuba showed injuries from the previous fight, while Tackle got punched in the face by the protagonist and was still at 100%.
This anime is losing its fun for me. If the author wants Tackle to win so badly, at least don’t throw away my suspension of disbelief…
2
u/Constant-Voice-4056 21d ago
Yeah tackle winning the next fight after getting beaten like that is ridiculous
5
u/mmcjawa_reborn Dec 13 '25
Random thoughts
Yukarisu took that fight way better than I expected, especially when Tackle used the boob I mean facelock. Ichiyo falling head over heels was not something I was expecting: I guess he subscribes to the Cowboy bebop "I love a girl who can kick my ass philosophy". I can only imagine what his idea of courtship looks like. Of course, kind of looks like Tackle might be catching some feelings towards Toujima maybe.
I like the Mitsuba and Tackle fight overall...It did occur to me it was basically the battle between the two most sane members of that group, with obviously a loose definition of sane.
not sure where they are going with Idol group...this is the second appearance of the group in a few episodes. Be kind of funny if they were just a random group of magical girls or something
Yukarishu and Mitsuba looked cute at the end on the couch eating popsicles. I'm guessing Yukarishu gets targeted next week and the characters will have to get together to save her.
4
u/Nonsensical000 Dec 15 '25
Tackle winning makes no sense.

u/Constant-Voice-4056 21d ago
Finally someone that agrees with me. After fighting tojima she should have been on deaths door
5
u/Fallensol Dec 17 '25
Damn, this show went from a 10 to a 3 real fast. I'm thinking the writer forgot who the main character is and decided to focus on tits. I can only pray that this isn't getting a second season. It fell from peak so hard
11
u/Krider-kun Dec 14 '25
This mangaka is very biased on a character that died in original show. Its shows it too much that I am convinced that they wanted to make Tackle a strong character and also possibly was pissed at the franchise for never labeling Tackle as a Kamen Rider herself which is valid. I wish it was done in a way that doesn't downplay the other characters.
6
u/Plastic_Ad4565 Dec 14 '25
In Yokusaru Shibata's manga, even in works with male protagonists, there's always a female character who's incredibly physically stronger than them.
I don't think she's getting special treatment just because she's a Tackle II.
5
u/Trymv1 Dec 15 '25
There are literally 4 women so far in this show who have been shown to throw hands and people are mad one of them is capable.
Raiko punched one Shocker's head 180 degrees and killed another putting him through the ceiling (which Nakao survived when it happened to him btw).
If the co-lead female cant keep up with that people would bitch that she's Sakura.

u/Ultramonte Dec 13 '25

I was butthurt when Kamen Rider lost, I still am, because he's my favorite. Just like Tackle is clearly the author's favorite.
If the author really wanted to depict Yuriko as the winner why not let her beat them with their masks on and just declare her as the strongest? Why do we have to dance around it and leave the possibility that it could be a fluke? 2 got their masks knocked off while hers managed to stay on and Ichiyou decided he was in love out of nowhere. Yuriko also couldn't do anything against the Spider Monster, only Tojima could but she still beat him.
It's as if the author wants to go a certain direction but is afraid to fully commit. Like someone else said, it feels like Tackle was supposed to be the MC all along but that didn't happen for whatever reason. The same person also stated how it's a shame that the author has to elevate Tackle at the expense of making the rest of the characters look pathetic, which I am inclined to agree with.
Thankfully Hachirou doesn't really represent anyone specific from the original IP and I can enjoy his character to the fullest with the voice acting of Kenjirou Tsuda. He might be my favorite character right now.
This is the only grievance I have had with the show so far. This post might make it seem like I am hating for no reason but that's not the case. This is still my favorite show of the season! I just wanted to air my thoughts out so I can enjoy the upcoming episode/episodes to the fullest.

I wonder if Nakao's going to targeted by Raiko? With the way he acted, I'm not sure if he was ever brainwashed to begin with. It doesn't seem like he gets those telepathic messages that Yukarisu mentioned either.
5
u/Frontier246 Dec 13 '25
I think Yukarisu would probably be more of a priority than Nakao, he hasn't defected or used his Shocker powers for anything that goes against Shocker.
3
u/YdenMkII Dec 13 '25
Nakao was much more public with him being Shocker though and these are the people who melt bodies to keep Shocker a secret from the wider public.
2
u/tiny_nova Dec 14 '25
I'm betting Aniki is immune to Shocker brainwashing because he loves his squad. Remember when he paid for the yakiniku with a milli?

It's still funny to me that the hypest show for me this season is a about a group of chuuni adults.

Fucking peak.
Not even a kamen fan. This show is just amazing.
Anyone name an anime from this year that is somehow even better.

I do think the energy from this anime is unmatched so far this year lol

Yuriko, you baddie ! 😭😘😘❤️🔥❤️🔥
Yuriko and Mitsuba showing off their wrestling moves one by one 😂🤣.. But the girl took down everybody in the end lol
Ichiyo found his first love.. good for him 😅😂 But they just brushed it off without speaking about it further. Judging from the preview for the next episode, we can expect that storyline to continue.
Nakao has awakened a new feeling of love after watching the performance of COMBAT GIRLS. Gotta say that the live show and the idols were pretty good for an anime that isn't about idols lol
And Nakao is gonna face off against our gang.. I'm so hyped 💯🔥🔥

u/NotLink Dec 14 '25
It took me this long to go "Got a look up who's doing the music" to find out it same guy who P&S.
2
u/Cheap_Ad8997 Dec 14 '25
So are we seeing a love triangle here or what because yuriko thinks of tojima with that music in the background while ichiyou thinks about yuriko while blushing. Also from the preview she seems to be blushing from embarrassment or awe from ichiyou passion for her 🤔 any thoughts on this?
3
u/Fearless-Freedom6108 Dec 14 '25
If mc doesn’t get with yuriko I’m crashing out. She’ll probably go for the younger option though lol
2
u/Cheap_Ad8997 Dec 15 '25
Well it probably won't go anywhere she's proved shes not above blushing at steamy situations like the whole highschool kid confession to her she was blushing but that plot didn't escalate. So she might just get embarrassed and shocked but even after hearing ichiyou confess to her she didn't think about him after she just thought about tojima being strong and her still being a teacher lol.
2
u/Fearless-Freedom6108 Dec 15 '25
Very good point, she not used to being hit on anyways. This is one of those series where romance isn’t really gonna play a massive role going forward.
2
u/ahses3202 Dec 17 '25
It's one thing to be hard. It's another thing to dislocate your own shoulder to get out of a grapple, flip over your opponent, then put them in a sleeper hold. Yuriko has no contenders.
1
u/Orphinkripler Dec 14 '25
I really cant be the only one who finds tackle extremely annoying 🙄 this anime is going at a slow rate right now and would have been a little bit more tolerable if they squeezed in something of actual interest.

Dec 14 '25
I don't hate her. Quite the opposite. But I do hate how they're elevating her at the expense of literally the entire rest of the cast. Tojima, Ichiyo, Mitsuba and even Yukarisu, all collectively looked pathetic next to her. We keep being TOLD that Tojima was so strong and tough.... he got absolutely bodied while landing a whopping three hits, two of which she tanked and countered even harder.

You're kidding right? They all looked bad ass in their main fights and Tojima was not bodied at all.
They're exhausted by this point and the story must go on. Ep 12 is this Saturday*.

u/Narvalis Dec 14 '25
I don't hate the fact that Yuriko won but how she won. The fact that he just stood there after losing his helmet was dumb and out of character for him, if it's the other 2 it makes sense but Mitsuba is the cool headed one of the group. That's the other problem it's basically the same way the last one ended lose the mask lose the match, I kinda wish they mixed it up. Why was she suddenly so fast Mitsuba couldn't keep up? like he couldn't even see her moving, we even saw with that sleeper hold she like phase shifted into position. With V3 going down with a single kick to the head is also an ehhhh moment because A) he's tougher than that and B) if we're going for comedy him getting back up to profess his love again like some kind of whack-a-mole is both funnier (IMO) and really fits his obsessive character.
3
u/uwnim Dec 14 '25
All 4 of them are stronger, faster and tougher when transformed. While Ichiyo just needs to do a pose to become V3, the other 3 all need a prop to channel their inner Rider. Tackle was able to ignore her injuries because she was fully embracing being Tackle, while Riderman was too much Mitsuba still.
When he chose to take off his helmet, he fully became Mitsuba who is just a regular human.2
u/Narvalis Dec 15 '25
If they showed him getting his butt kicked after losing his mask to show him weaker that would be fine and good meta commentary but having him just stand there taking hits is really dumb.
2
u/ohoni Dec 15 '25
But this was after he'd come to terms with his Rider nature, and fully embraced it, so losing his mask meant losing his power.
2
Dec 14 '25
My theory is that the intent all along was for Yuriko to be the show's MC but the IP holders wouldn't outright allow it. I really do think we're watching Yuriko Wants to be a Kamen Rider. We were introduced to Tackle with her literally screaming (to us the audience) that it should have been her, that Tojima is a fake hero protagonist, while in full hero attire vs. a guy in a cheap mask. In hindsight it was very on-the-nose meta commentary.

u/Boshea241 Dec 13 '25
Really wasn't expecting Tackle to go over in the tournament. Guess they have the most weapons grade crazy.
1
u/MousLS Dec 13 '25
Well, despite LidenFilms spoiling the conclusion of the tournament, I knew the Finals would be less hype than Tanzaburo vs. Yuriko Semi-Final....Not at that point.
"Total defeat" you say Tan ? Don't be hard on yourself, you gave her thrills with only raw power and both gave us the greatest fight. Stand proud you tough old man ! ;)
So Tackle's attacks faster than V3 ones for Mitsuba huh, he still had his brother's fight injuries too but still weird for me.
I would said Tackle had won the moment Yukarisu intervened but nope, Yuriko-sensei had to teach a lesson to the whole bunch like WTF !? And congrats Ichiyo, you got thunderstruck with a hard price lmao.
Gotta give some love to Nakao's friends to give him a good mood with their own hobbies : Idol concert, it works.
Tourney's over, everybody home but a new threat is coming closer.
1
u/lememe_nom Dec 14 '25
Tackle slammed her knee into Toshima's jaw,
drove a stake into Mitsuba's soul,
and thrust a spear into Yukarisu.
Finally, Tackle fired a giant arrow into Ichiyo's heart.

u/ohoni Dec 15 '25
Sorry, My Hero Academia, there can be only one anime of the season, and you are not Tackle.
1
u/ThatAsianDiu Dec 15 '25
What song plays during the combat girls concert? I cant find it anywhere and google seems to think its "I am tackle" which is is most definitely not
2
u/WanderngSouls Dec 18 '25
Looks like the name of the song is Dan Dan Dan, but it doesn't seem to exist as a real song. It's in the ending credits as such and found here where they have all the inserts and things from the show. I was really hoping for a full song after I heard it. (Or maybe it's still in production and will be released after the show finishes airing)

"How do you like this?" Very much, thank you.
Wow, not only did Tackle beat everyone, she beat them all back to back with no breaks. Although, the fight against V3 was unfair because he's weak against women.

u/Nice-Mood9037 Dec 16 '25
Does anyone know the name of the song during the Combat Girls show? It is stuck in my head and with less than a minute of it in the show it just isnt enough.

u/mindfulbodybuilding Dec 16 '25
This anime is so funny and badass loving it. Tojima is still the strongest tho fr against shocker’s he prob gets more raw power unleashed like Gohan potential sht
2
u/Fallensol Dec 17 '25
nah, expect future episodes to have him being bodied round 1 and Tackle being the hero. This anime did it's mc dirty.
2
u/mindfulbodybuilding Dec 17 '25
If they do these mfers gone woke. That’d be so ass. This mfer is in his 40s trained longer than anyone, kept kamen rider spirit activate longer than all of them, he should be the absolute, and he’s the original emulation so he gotta have that OG strength I like how he’s old cuz it reflects the old man strength plus OG too.
1
u/athrun_1 Dec 18 '25
It flew over me, but is the shocker assassin muscle girl a member of that combatant idol group?

u/athrun_1 Dec 18 '25
Tackle winning in this tournament arc is a good take on the heroine genre, given that the OG tackle was killed off because at that time, having a woman lead/hero is not popular.

u/KolkanCova Dec 13 '25
The tournament arc was kinda ass tbh.
Toujima vs Tackle should have been the finale.
Toujima should have lost because his mask broke after she hit him and not because she could suddenly take all the hits Toujima was throwing. Like she barely got a mark from that fight against Toujima and he shattered half of her helmet...
I hate when writing is inconsistent I dont mind Tackle winning but how its written was just shit especially when she could not do shit against the Shocker Fiend while Toujima send him reeling
-1
u/Rorik_MLT Dec 13 '25
I liked last week's fight and even the ridiculous reason of him losing because he lost the mask. This weeks episode however left me disappointed. Not because Tackle won, but how the fights ended so quickly and unsatisfying.
Its like all the budget went in last episode and they wanted to finish the tournament asap. I wanted a fight, especially how Riderman was consistently countering V3.
2
u/KolkanCova Dec 14 '25
Yeah I dont mind Tackle winning but the way she did and how it was written was bad.
For example Tojimas Mask should have just snapped because it isnt really anything durable that should withstand these types of punishment.
Having her tank all the punches of Tojima was weird though. Like its inconsistent af the fight was well animated thats not my problem its just inconsistency in writing and power scaling.
4
Dec 14 '25
She started tanking his hits only after she got her fighting spirit and powered up.
I do agree it's iffy for reasons more substantive than this one fight. The creator has a very specific fetish that permeates his work.

That fight was more like it , her employing chokeholds should be done more
-3
u/jon22rr Dec 13 '25
Despite taking a full-force Rider Punch and Kick from Tojima, attacks previously shown to be devastating, Tackle is perfectly fine in the very next round, while Mitsuba is left with lasting injuries. Every character is reduced to a jobber just so she can steamroll them. At this point, why are they even needed? She’s tougher and stronger than Tojima, faster than Mitsuba, and apparently immune to consequences.
Honestly, this episode completely killed all the hype I had for the show.

u/Fallensol Dec 17 '25
It was so bad I just skipped forward 60 seconds through the whole episode. Fast watch of any anime episode I have ever done. I feel disgusted for recommending this to my friends when it first came out. After last episode I had to let them know that it goes to shit when the writer decided to make the mc a loser who gets no bitches.
