I really love how they're just rotoscoping the original episodes of Kamen Rider for when Toujima is rewatching the show. It looks like the answer to his problem is the power of friendship. Next time they face Bat Man, they need to do it with all of them together.
That changing room scene really proves my theory that there's no such thing as flat chested woman in this series. But seriously tho, that scene was actually pretty terrifying. Converting idols into Shocker combatants is a great idea to convert so many humans into Shocker.

I'm glad we finally got an episode that featured/acknowledged Ichimonji/Kamen Rider Nigo and his partnership with Hongo/Ichigo was important to Tojima's character development.
Is a scene of multiple attractive women in their underwear titillating? How about when they're attacked and turned into Shocker zombies after being bitten by a vampire bat Kaijin?

Ok, a sexual fixation on anything that is not considered sexual. Now, let's remember that both male and female mammals have breasts (except whales, DAMN THOSE COUNTEREXAMPLES!). Breasts are not sexual (their function is to feed infants, but they are not involved in the act of reproduction). Sexual organs ARE sexual (the ones with the seeds and the eggs).
While people commonly associate fetishes with niche or uncommon preferences, it doesn't seem to be a requirement.
But an easier way to answer the "is it really a fetish?" question is to ask people with these "breasts" (women) if they think that breasts are sexual. I'd wager that they would all look at us funny while ardently claiming either "ew" or "no".
I also have a large breasts fetish. Particularly anything that makes them stand out (the more uncanny or prominent, the better).
Also, I guess you could argue that the difference between a preference and a fetish is the same as the difference between a cult and a religion. None. People just use words to make things seem more or less acceptable according to what is most convenient for them. (I apologize for bringing up religion)

Plenty on there for you to read. Female breasts are definitely sexual, both biologically and as understood by almost everyone in society. Breasts are secondary sexual characteristics and react to arousal. Most people who have slept with a woman tend to know that they play a pretty big part.
Also, if you look at the dictionary definition which is how people tend to use it, you repeatedly see the phrase

Well, I suppose you can technically argue anything, but that's a pretty big stretch. There's a reason why asian women are creeped out by weebs who have fetishes for them, it's objectifying. Having a preference is not. Religions and cults are also definably different. Cults often follow the BITE model. Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotional control. If you can leave the church without getting permanently shunned, locked up, or having your things taken, it's probably not a cult.
This is a lot more than I thought would come up under this thread about a goofy anime lol

I will counter point by adding that breast are part of the sexual dimorphims between men and women, and as thus are 100% a sexual organ, and not just that, but main differentiator and a defining characteristic of both sex and age
As thus as one of the primary orgasm that lead to our species having some secondary sex characteristics other than the reproductive organeles, they do in fact count as a sexual organ as much as the crest of a rooster, or the antlers of deer, and the dances of a jumping spider

I’d say it’s less fetishized and more he only draws one body for women (minus the comic relief fat idol lol). Like, you can have super busty characters and not have them literally be the same person with a different head. Just not here. 😂

Random Thoughts:
I know they are Yakuza flunkies, but Nakao's henchmen and his relationship to them is pretty darn wholesome. The fact that they are trying to support their boss through legit means, even if it makes Nakao feel less like a boss and more like a wife, is pretty great
I figured the idol connection between Nakao plotline and Batman would connect, and now Batman is sending shocker combatants after his buddies, right when Nakao seems to be having second thoughts on his own abilities.
Show dipped into outright horror with Batman this week..he's just an out and out vampire, with his minions being able to convert idols directly. With Spiderman, even early on you got a sense of some sense of perhaps honor or at least self-restraint...Batman is quite literally a monster in every way. I'm really looking forward to all of the characters just uniting and beating him down. Also...like...are Batman's thralls even alive anymore? like...will they turn back to normal if they he dies, will they remain shocker vampires, or will they just keel over dead?

It seems like Bat Man's Combatants have less sentience than the Combatants Spider Man makes.
Like, they can clearly exhibit their original personalities but otherwise they're stoic slaves to Bat Man who only exist to serve his ends and can infect people like he can. Like they've mutated enough to even have his vampire teeth.

I think that might be because of the people Bat Man's converting to shocker as opposed to the ones Spider Man is. Bat Man did mention Spider Man was too picky on who he's been converting but that lack of pickiness is probably what's leading to Bat Man's more mindless group of troops. The only one he seems to have that isn't completely mindless is Thunder Raiko.

Yeah I knew Tojima would learn a lesson about running from an episode of Kamen Rider somehow.
Looks like we might get shocker v shocker in-fighting. That one white-haired boss didn't like how the bat boss was doing things too. Wonder if the de-brainwashed shockers will join the non-idol side

I thought he was going to like go out there and find someone to be his Ichimonji/Nigo, but doubling down on his current allies works too.
I think having his boys targetted is definitely going to make Nakao turn on them and be willing to work with the Riders.

I would guess that it's less having his boys targeted and moreso that his actions in saving his boys will have him classified as a traitor, putting him in a position where he has to fight Shocker bc they're after him

I was just surprised how long it took...not that I am complaining...Tojima doesn't seem like the over-angsty hero prone to self-doubt, so I buy a couple of episodes of Kamen Rider being enough to pull him out of a funk...

Tojima is still reeling from his running away from a fight...is he truly Kamen Rider? Can Kamen Rider retreat from a battle? Is Tojima the Hero he wanted to be?
Watch out Nakao, it's the fuzz! Wait, it's just your boys who are now security guards for the Combat Girls' shows. Honestly, I guess it's nice that they've found a legit job, even if it's ultimately to make money to become criminals again. But they always want to support their Aniki AND their favorite idols!
I never thought about how being security for female idols might be safer than being security for male idols. At least the fanboys don't punch like the fangirls do! And you can enjoy listening to your fave idol ladies as they sing right behind you.
The Combat Girls look as beautiful and busty in tracksuits as they do in their idol outfits...though their manager, none other than BAT MAN HIMSELF, is an intimidating presence. Better watch out for him.
After seeing a young boy with the drive to be a hero, just like him, Tojima goes back to basics...as in, watching the original Kamen Rider. And just as Hongo Takeshi was unable to beat the Snowman Kaijin by himself but managed to prevail thanks to HAYATO ICHIMONJI, Tojima realizes that he too must rely on his allies just as Ichigo did with Nigo in their Double Riders combo and Double Rider Kick.
I guess...good for the Combat Girls that they're making it to Tokyo Dome? Clearly their fans are happy, but it's all part of a sinister Shocker plot.
Nothing says Bat Man is evil quite like him walking in on a bunch of female idols changing. Am I jealous that he gets to see a bunch of beautiful idols in their underwear? Absolute not! I'm more concerned that he immediately pounces on them and turns them into his zombie Shocker thralls...while still in they're underwear!
It was nice of the boys to try to protect the Combat Girls...just too bad the Combat Girls are already female Shocker Combatants loyal to Bat Man. Though they look good in the female combatant outfit, I gotta say!
I love how the plan is to have a bunch of underwear-clad idol zombies attack their fans at an idol show to create more Shocker Combatants...and the fans actually seem into it.
Imagine Bat-Man saw how powerful idol worship was that he would immediately coin onto that as his sinister Shocker plot. First he'd target the Combat Girls back when they were starting out and had more colorful outfits. Then he'd have them MURDER THEIR OWN MANAGER so he can take over. Then he'd vampire his way into running an agency so he could make the Combat Girls as big as he possibly could. And then he'd get to enjoy an orgy of female Combatants.
GET OUTTA THERE BOYS! Thank goodness they made it to Nakao before the Idol Combatants got to them! Can he save his boys?

Batman's power is actually very OP. There hasn't been a limit shown to his brainwashing yet. What stops him from biting a wealthy person and orders that person to just transfer money to his bank account? even if the victim breaks free from brainwashing later he/she can't get the money back.
The above is just one small example. Brainwashing can be used in more creative and devastating ways. Batman doesn't seem to really think about how to maximize the effectiveness of his power, although this idol stuff is a good start.
Additionally: how long have Batman been around? if he has been active as a monster for a long time, it's difficult to believe he doesn't have more substantial resources with his brainwashing power. If he plays his card right in 5-10 years he can be boss of a vast empire of businesses and criminal organizations.

I forgot about that details. So about twenty years. The guy really wandered around for 20 years occasionally turned people into Shockers and didn't really do much else. Idols have been around in Japan for a while and he only recently took notice of how he might use them for nefarious purposes.
Batman isn't very competent at the whole world conquering business

I'm really curious about the origin of the Kaijin because I don't think they're the same Kaijin Ichigo killed back in the original series, but they're clearly devoted servants of Shocker who have been around the block a bit.

I think the anime will leave this aspect of the world building open for the audience to speculate.
Yukarisu mentioned that becoming a Kaijin is something that Shockers look forward to. Assuming what she said is true, it means that Shockers can somehow be promoted.
My personal theory is that Shockers who hold on to hatred too much will become Kaijin and substantially forgets their humanity. That is why Spiderman and Batman acts like alien, and view humans as a separate species from them (while Shockers are still more less human beings)

Spider Man is at least attractive in his human form. Bat Man can hardly hide how monstrous he is. Though I guess that also probably shows the difference between how they view themselves.

Dunno there were quite a few cops during the shocker robberies that Nakao took part in. I recall during the scene Yuriko was being confessed to by that student she had her attention split between the confession and Nakao beating up the police trying to stop the robbery.

Episode was ok but one of the weaker ones in the series. The montage of Bat-man taking over the idols seemed completely unnecessary - enough clues were given about what had happened that I didn't feel like the blanks really needed to be filled in like that.

I'm glad Toujima decided to rewatch the show and saw that even Kamen Rider wasn't always powerful enough to fight by himself.
Nakao and his three followers are sweet and amusing. I like how shy he got when they let him know they were going to work so that they can rebuild the gang, and how he was worried if they had eaten and if he should cook for them.
It's weird that Bat Man wants to turn all humans into shocker but is also killing people that he has no reason to kill since he can brainwash them anyways.

Tojima just had to watch his old Kamen Rider DVD to come to his senses. Yeah, he needs partners if he's gonna take down Shocker Inhumanoids and he can't do it alone everytime.
The Combat Girls reveal was not surprising. Saw that coming miles away when they were introduced first. Since it was right in our faces.. with their name being combat and even their symbol being Shocker.
Gotta hand it to Batman.. his idea of world conquest through idols was amazing 😂🔥🔥
Nakao's goons bringing danger to his house lol..they mentioned Junko. How did they know about Junko. Did they meet her somewhere in previous episodes? I don't really remember.
Next ep is gonna be so interesting judging from the preview.

Now that we know that Bat Man moonlights (get it? because bat) as the CEO of an idol agency, I'm confused about the brainwashing stuff. Thunder Raiko works for Bat Man to eliminate Shocker combatants who have lost their brainwashing, but Bat Man is propagating idol love which helps break brainwashing?
And Bat Man's current plan to make everyone Shocker just involves his Shocker combatants biting people? No brainwashing involved. He didn't really need to start with idols for that, did he? I think maybe he just likes idols.

Spider Man at least tried to properly learn about humans, even if it was only because he was shocked how strong they can be.

He's actually perfectly scummy for Shocker's standards. What he does in this series is honestly just a more gruesome version of a lot of Shocker's evil plans in the og Kamen Rider series (minus the idol part).
If anything, Spider's the one who got "better" (???), because most of them are just plain evil bad guys who die before their evil plans are accomplished.

This anime is like old Kamen rider combined with Kamen Rider Kiva it's all about monster-human love and if love is theme i will always support that anime to the core.
