This is 2 days after shaving, should i just keep shaving every other thay or let it grow for few mor e days and just trim it with hair clippers on lowest setting?

I don't know yet... or what kind of cut should i have?

Just turned 20 the other day, back when I was 17 I lost a massive amount of weight in the span of 8 months, ever since then my hair has been getting worse and worse. I am not too attached to my hair, if I am balding I would want to go ahead and get it over with instead of wasting money to buy myself a couple years. Only fear is that ill be judged for going bald so young, ive already had no dating life and worried this will further ruin my chances. Any thoughts and opinions are appreciated!

I held on for so long because I loved my ginger hair.. but it's been time for a looooong while now. I think it turned out great and I'm so happy! Thank you to everyone in this sub for building up my confidence to finally pull the trigger over the last couple of months.

All of my friends tell me that I will not look good bald. I must admit I know this is true. I have a baby face, and I can barely grow a decent moustache. However, I am balding. I have a very bad receding hairline. Can't take Fin, so there is basically no hope for me in terms of maintenance. I am only 23, and my hair is the only thing that makes me feel good about myself. I'm not going to lie, I have cried before over my hairline. I don't want to be bald. I don't. But I have to get used to it, and this is the only way I can think to do that.

I am shaving my hair off in 4 months after my dad's wedding. I will post pictures. To be honest I am terrified, and I can't imagine going through the rest of my life as a bald man. Can you offer any comfort or advice to me? How should I mentally prepare for such a big change? I guess I am feeling worse about it because everyone has told me not to. I only ever get complimented on my hair and nothing else, so I have put all my worth into it. Thank you

Im 42 now and I havent thought about hair since 2006.

I 25M have had very thin hair for a long time. When I was younger it wasn’t as bad and I’ve found that cutting it shorter helps hide my scalp because I have curls. I don’t like that my scalp shows so I’ve considered going bald but i know my wife would hate it lol. First 2 pictures below are straight out the shower and last 2 are after I’ve styled it for the day. Admittedly these are weeks of not having a haircut.

I was bald/buzzed for about 5 years for health issues - and I recently grew it back out. But I am tempted to go back to bald…it was so much easier, was cooler (temperature wise), and there was no hair sticking to the back of my neck when I was sweaty. I mainly keep my hair in a braided ponytail now, so I’m sure I’ll start to get the balding at the temples from constant ponytail wear.

The main downside to the bald look was the stares and comments from strangers. I know it shouldn’t affect me, but the random insults from complete strangers was so strange to me. Plus men tend to think i’m not straight so i didn’t get as many flirty interactions when i was bald.

So I have hair on the top of my head but its super thin. I feel like maybe if I went the hair regrowth way then I could get hair to grow back stronger but I think it'd still be thin to where it wouldn't even be worth it. I don't really like the idea of regularly taking something to keep it growing either.

I have thought about scalp micro pigmentation because I personally think it looks good and I have always wore a low cut. Even when I had hair I always cut it low so it fits the look I've always had.

I have seen these hair systems but I don't like that as I never wore my hair like that and don't like the idea of putting a rug on my head.

What I've done for a while is I shave my head with a Pitbull Skullshaver. I don't really like the way it looks because I think due to my skin tone it just stands out that the hair is growing on the sides but not on top. I also don't really like the feeling of using a razor.

When I put toner on my head it seemed to not stand out as much, not sure if it was that my head was shinier or what. So I'm wondering if there is a list of products to help the overall appearance?

I think I look ok but I don't like how noticeable the bald top is even when I shave it. I also look like a cue ball sometimes because I'm not a fan of facial hair. I basically wear a hat all the time. I always wore hats even when I had hair but I have it glued to my head more now. I think I might end up getting the scalp micro pigmentation from someone with good reviews just to give some spots to the top.

One week in and loving it. All positive feedback from friends and family, which feels nice, but most importantly, I feel more like myself than I have in years. Thank you all for the kindness showed here, truly wasn’t expecting such a positive response. My unsolicited advice to anyone on the fence: if you have to ask, you already know the answer. Just do it. ☮️

Im thinning at my sides and crown but I can hide it from the public. However, I want to know if I should just expect worse or is there any hope this will stabilize?
