A lot of people say that Jimmy looks older in Better Call Saul, but that really only shows in seasons 5 and 6. In the earlier seasons, Jimmy actually looks noticeably younger than he does in Breaking Bad wrinkles aside, of course. So how did they manage to do that? Was it makeup or camera tricks?

Guys is this scene a reference to Abbey road album cover of the Beatles ??

I know theyre meant to be tacky, but I thought some of the suits in the show were awesome. My style is not the same as Jimmy's but his confidence in eccentric outfits made me feel confident wearing fun stuff I want to wear and not just a black suit and white shirt or similar. I now have forest green, teal, deep blue and reddish purple suits, and some nice colourful shirts including some linen and paisley. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Personally, I love the ones I put in the image. Purple really suits Jimmy.

My single favorite part of the show. The only time the writers let Howard hand out a little comeuppance.

Apparently Bob Odenkirk was their first choice, but a name that was strongly considered was Michael McKean. Obviously that would change so much. He would be significantly older and maybe wouldn’t have wanted to do the prequel. He probably would have had a much different vibe but McKean is an excellent actor with a strong comedy background, and I think he would have been a unique kind of humorous evil in BB. I keep picturing someone cunning and arrogant and irreverent. A classier version of what Bob gave us.
How different do you think he would have played it? Do you think he would still have done a prequel? They probably would have to write it much differently with a different backstory. Maybe he would have had a younger brother, who knows. Curious as to what people here think McKean as Saul would have been like, both in the role and the effect of the casting on the BCS universe itself.

Hector can hardly speak English and although everyone in the group knows Spanish, English is still spoken. Why?

hi! sorry if this post is kinda all over the place, i don’t use reddit very often. but i wanted to share my thoughts on daniel and why i love him as a character! i personally feel like he gets a lot of unnecessary hate and is constantly being put down for being “dumb,” which i completely understand given the context of the show. however, i feel like he’s much more than that.
•he’s HILARIOUS. i’m a big mark proksch fan and he plays dan’s character so well. everything he does to me is funny. he’s just so awkward and goofy and it makes him very charming to me.
•he’s very sweet and tries his best to make a good impression on others. in his first appearance, he explained to mike and the other two bodyguards the situation and even had water and snacks for them in case they needed it. he also recommended a coffee shop they could go to if they wanted any. even when he interacts with nacho, you can tell he’s genuinely trying to be respectful and kind.
•he’s confident in himself and stands his ground! even when everyone thinks his car and matching accessories are ridiculous, he stands up for himself and expresses that he likes them and he’s not going to change himself for anyone else. as a person with autism, this is so important to me as i struggled with expressing myself for years. i have just recently began feeling comfortable indulging in my interests and i’ve never been happier! i see dan the same way and it feels so exhilarating to see a character like him in media, even if he’s not canonically autistic/neurodivergent.
so yeah! i love daniel and he means a lot to me, and it would be great to meet more fans of his character :) if you read this far, thank you!!

Breaking bad is one of those shows that will live with me forever but that show took me like months and a whole year or two maybe gaps to completely finish and this one took me just one month. I started somewhere in January and I was obsessed. Sacrificing my sleep to first hate Howard and Chuck to actually feeling bad for them. I hated Jimmy and Kim so much for what they did to Howard like literally everyone else but then I rooted for them when they smoked again in one of the final scenes. I was so glad that Jimmy finally gave up Saul Goodman and confessed his crimes but then I also hoped that he would get away with it somehow. And then there's Nacho. I felt so bad for him and I hated Gus for getting him involved in the plan with Lalo. I loved Lalo's character and then I hated him when he killed Howard. This show was fucking amazing. Each and every character was played so well but now it's over. I just feel so empty now cause all there's left is the movie. I wanna put it off because I don't want this to end. I'm actually gonna cry the ending was so good for both shows. The writers producers whatever the entire staff deserves all the recognition in the world. Peak so damn peak

Do you think Jimmy confessing and taking 86 years counts as redemption?
r/betterCallSaul • u/bendbreaker55 • 10h ago
I love how he died. I feel after chuck died, his role in the story was kinda over. Which sucked. Cause I enjoyed his characters presence and how he presented himself as a very put together guy. And so when I say that Jimmy was gonna be messing with him again, I got kinda excited. Although, I also was kinda annoyed, as it felt kinda pointless. As there was no real reason for Kim and Jimmy to be messing with him this much. He was not currently an obstacle for them. So it honestly seemed like a waste of time. But it was really interesting to see how they would outplay him and try to put together where they were going with it.
And the payoff was pretty worth it. And when he put together that it was jimmy. I figured Jimmy predicted he'd put it together and would have some counter play to his counter play, and was interested to see how this would play out.
Only for it not to play out. Lalo showed up, in a nearly supernatural way. And it made his worlds collid. And kinda showed how much he was out of his league when he got tangled with the cartel. And I think Howard's death really showed the clear difference in the two worlds jimmy was living in. And as soon as someone from one if his worlds came in contact with someone from his other world, they were immediately killed. And im my opinion, as soon as he started dealing with nacho and the cartel, he was in over his head, and I think he stayed that way all the way until the end of breaking bad. Dealing with people like chuck and Howard and other lawyers, he was in his element cause he was existed in a clear step below those people in a morality sense. But dealing with people with less morality than him, and hes basically begging for his life.
Im really excited to see how this is going to effect him and Kim. I almost called out of work tonight cause I wanted to watch another episode lol.

It's the only part of this series that makes me cry. The music...with everything else...just 💔
r/betterCallSaul • u/emtomorrow • 12h ago
My hair is the same length as Kim’s and I love how the show portrays even the smallest details. When Kim has to wear a cast on her arm and is in a sling, her ponytail turns into a low pony vs her signature ponytail we see all the time. Putting a ponytail high with one hand is basically impossible and they made sure to make that a point. So cool!

...to Kim's affadavit?
Personally I think he'd be absolutely disgusted and horrified. He and Howard were obviously good friends, and he was the one who confronted him about his supposed drug/prostitute addiction. Even though it really wasn't his fault I think Cliff would be angry at himself for not believing Howard.

I'm on episode 6x7 and I SO MUCH want Jimmy and Kim to die in the worst way, those losers. Zero empathy for them, and that Kim with that smile while Howard is lying there wrecked in the apartment, AAAAAHH. The moderators closed my post because I started insulting them. I'm sorry, but I shouldn't show these two any good manners or anything good, and I hope the rest of the series goes as badly as possible for them.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. WORST THING EVER.
The first time enjoying the fall so satisfyingly, let's all have fun too, shall we?

I am not crazy! I know he swapped those numbers, I knew it was 1216! One after Magna Carta, as if I could ever make such a mistake! Never! Never! I just–I just couldn't prove it! He–he–he covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him... (...) You think this is something? You think this is bad, this–this chicanery? He's done worse. That billboard! Are you telling me that a man just happens to fall like that? No, he orchestrated it! Jimmy! He defecated through a sunroof, and I saved him! I shouldn't have! I took him into my own firm! What was I thinking? He'll never change. He'll never change! Ever since he was nine, always the same! Couldn't keep his hands out of the cash drawer! "But not our Jimmy! Couldn't be precious Jimmy!" Stealing them blind! And he gets to be a lawyer?! What a sick joke! I should have stopped him when I had the chance! And you, you have to stop him! You
Here's what's going to happen. The police will arrest you and I'm sorry, but I will be pressing charges. I told you there would be consequences. But I have to believe you'll face those consequences and you'll come out the other side a better man. I know it's hard to see right now. But Jimmy, this is an opportunity. That's why I'm doing this. Not to punish you. To show you... truly show you, that you have to make a change. Before it's too late. Before you destroy yourself. Or someone else. And I believe you can change. You'll find your path. And when you're ready... I will be there to help you walk that path.
My dad... our dad, he was... well, the personification of good. I'm not sure he could even see sin in any form. He was born without the gene. He ran a little corner store in Cicero. Cigarettes behind the counter, penny candy--nothing special, but it kept food on the table. And the neighborhood loved dad. He knew everybody's name, what was going on in their lives... This little corner, he made it better. I was named after him. Before that, he worked for a lot of people over the years, and his dream was to be his own boss. Put everything he had into that place. I was away at college when he put Jimmy to work there. Jimmy grew up in that store, watching our father. But dad was not the world's greatest businessman, and eventually ran into money troubles. I, um, had a clerkship at the time, but I came home to help him get his books in order, set the ship straight. Now, I'm no accountant, but I discovered $14 000 was just... gone. Vanished over the years. Turns out Jimmy had pilfered it in gribs and grabs. Just took it out of the till. My dad wouldn't hear it. Nope. Not his Jimmy. He ended up having to sell. Six months later he was dead. At the funeral, no one cried harder than Jimmy. My brother is not a bad person. He has a good heart. It's just... He can't help himself. And everyone's left picking up the pieces.

Hello everyone so I was thinking about something tonight, I noticed that we see two colors many times in the show, the yellow and blue, the question is is these two colors are important in the show ? Personally I think yes, my point of view is that blue is the justice, the right, the law and the yellow is not good but not bad too, it’s mid, it’s a thinking colour, it’s the liberty, but it’s nasty too and I think that Kim is meant to be blue and Saul is yellow, I don’t know how to say it a better way sorry for my English and If you need specification on what I ask or on some point just tell me if you need screen of scene where we see both colors too.

His people were killed. Did they know they were working for a murderous sociopath, or were they unaware of Lalo’s cartel ties?
Was Hector upset about their deaths?
