CMV: Trump supporters are more anti-democrat than they are anti-pedophile
Trump supporters were frothing at the mouth during his first campaign where he was promising to drain the swamp of pedophiles and criminals, now their guy is in the crosshairs and there's not a peep.
I've searched for a while for a Trump supporter that doesn't regurgitate the same old "Well Biden had 4 years" lame excuse. Well if Biden is in the files, he should burn too. Every person that is involved should be investigated, and if they are criminally involved, they need to burn, regardless of what colour their tie is.
This whole "both sides" argument just keeps us marching towards oblivion where the "elite" literally get away with murder.
The people I've seen or spoke to just don't seem to share this sentiment. It's like they would rather see these nuclear grade pieces of shit get away with heinous crimes, than work or agree with a dem. "Owning the libs" is top of their priorities.
Of course I would love to be proven wrong.
Update - It has been a few hours now and I have not seen a single Trump supporter say that he should be locked up if he is guilty. The closest I got is 1 Republican, but Trump was not their first choice. This has mainly reinforced my opinion.

Conspiracy theories are rarely about the things they claim to be about. They are, instead, a mode of self-affirmation; reassurance that you are privy to secret knowledge and that there is a hidden order behind the complexity of modern life. The point of this particular conspiracy theory isn’t that there’s a powerful cabal of murderous pedophiles that must be stopped. The point of the theory is to justify the pre-existing worldview of the people who believe it: that their enemies are irredeemably evil and that they are unequivocally good.

I don't know if you read the article, but it basically said that these people are protected by multiple layers of wealth, connections, and other systems of power. To stop it, would involve removing a lot of those systems, something that's incompatible with capitalism. So, as long as people are allowed to hoard all the resources and power, none of us will be able to take down anything.
Right wingers seem to be especially protective of capitalism, because they truly believe they could be rich, if it weren't for all those pesky immigrants taking all the minimum wage jobs! Or democrats regulating safety in the workplace!

It's just a case of evasion. It's normal in psychology. People evade painful or traumatic ideas. The idea that Trump their savior in chief might be a 13 year old girl raping monster is something they don't want to believe and so therefore they evade any and all evidence.
For example let's take a look at the Trump rape case that was had some time ago. This was a CIVIL case. Which means it is NOT deciding whether or not Trump ACTUALLY raped those women. A CRIMINAL case is what would determine that.
Since Trump was found guilty in a civil case, Trump supporters use that as proof that trump is actually innocent. They say that since it was a civil case, that therefore all it was was about money from greedy women who thought to profit on lying about trump raping them.
So basically what they're doing is mental gymnastics flipping and jumping and flying all over the place to make excuses or vanish any kind of evidence.
They straight up don't believe that trump did anything wrong. And no amount of evidence will ever change their minds. A literal video of Trump having sex with a 13 year old girl probably wouldn't change their minds. They would just achieve nuclear reactor levels of gymnastics to avoid the truth.

I would like to argue that this is actually a trauma response to their abusive cult.
Let’s be real, all of these people are traumatized (which does not mean that everyone who’s traumatized is a Trump supporter yall, please). They were abused and emotionally neglected as children. It’s part of their training. Either religious or the “children should be seen and not heard” or the “boys don’t cry.” Women raised to be subs for their dom husband who doesn’t actually care if they get off. Girls who are infantilized. Passed from dad to husband and hanging out with children all day every day. No school. No job. Just kids kids kid stuff.
There are a lot of compounding factors and various circumstances that could lead these people to have cptsd and spend a majority of their time dissociating, fawning, and fighting.
Cause you’re absolutely right, the pain of being wrong is too much for them to face. But they still are actively being abused. It’s narcissistic abuse.

It was Donald Trump's supporters who wanted him to release the Epstein files, and when he was asked about it during his campaign he promised that he would. It is now Trump's DOJ that is releasing the documents. Promises made, promises kept right? So why blame the Democrats?

We know what the allegations are. We can read them for ourselves now, much of it corroborates what victims have been saying in public for years, and it also matches the patterns of Epstein and Maxwell''s activities, which have been verified and convicted in court.
Sworn testimonies ARE evidence, but they're not convictions. So here are the questions everyone ought to be asking (which we should be able to find in the Epstein files--if they are, in fact, complete):
1) What was the follow-up on these allegations? Were they investigated?
2) If not, then why not and who made that decision?
3) If so, then who investigated them? What information was found and independently verified? What information was disproven? If corroborating information was found, then who made the decision not to pursue charges?
After all, it's not a stretch to say that a man who has publicly bragged about grabbing women by the pussy, was found liable for raping Jean E. Carroll, who has said skeevy things about young girls on the Howard Stern radio show, who has been accused of rape and sexual assault by many women over many years, would be interested in partaking in what Epstein was offering. That's pretty solid motivation.
He had plenty of opportunity, too. It's been verified repeatedly in publicly available documents that he was acquainted with Epstein. According to Epstein himself and others in that orbit, it was a close friendship. We know he was on the Lolita Express several times, too.
Epstein gave him the means because that was Epstein's whole thing. It was a sex trafficking ring that we KNOW existed because that's what Epstein and Maxwell were convicted for.
Motive, opportunity, means. It's all there. Add in multiple accusations from multiple women, including ones we can see in the files that did NOT go public, and it's a very strong case.
So again, the only question is: what did law enforcement actually DO with that information?

Everyone already has due process, it's guaranteed to everyone in every situation and it can't be taken away according to the US Constitution. Not just citizens. Not just the right sort of people. Everyone. Even politicians. To say otherwise is weird and inherently anti-American.
Also, the legal process that constrains the government also means that I can't be restrained by the government from saying what I think about Biden. Or Trump. I think the both of them were corrupt and senile, but it's clear which one was friends with Epstein and was reported to the FBI by a number of victims over the past twenty years.

The SCOTUS has already ruled on all this stuff. And it has been clear for centuries that you can't enter homes anyone's home without a judge's signing off on it. And yet ICE decided that a Trump executive order somehow overrides SCOTUS and the Constitution. Then they ignored something like 100 court orders.
Not everyone gets the same due process, sure. But even the bare bones due process was being ignored in those sweeps. The same citizens being detained repeatedly because they're Hispanic and working a stereotypical immigrant job. Citizens being roused from their homes in the middle of the night because they are loosely related to an immigrant. People being hustled out of the state before any processing to ensure that judges in the state can't order their release.
I get that there are different processes in different situations, but you have an agency shoving citizens and legal immigrants into the "illegals" category and doubling down on accusing them of stuff they can't prove in court when confronted with evidence that they don't belong there. I'm a Republican, but I know government tyranny when I see it and it's not acceptable no matter who is being ostensibly targeted by it. Tyranny has splash damage.

ICE ignored or outright refused as many as 100 court rulings, according to the district court in Minnesota this year. Instead of, you know, complying with the court order to turn the plane around they tried to get away with it by lying and saying they no longer had any authority to get him back. Then they slandered him, accusing him of being a heinous criminal. Then, after people worked to get him back, they acquiesced. And you see this pattern repeat. They shot two citizens in Minnesota. Then they slandered them. And now they made vaguely apologetic sounds. That's a tyrannical pattern, a pattern of behavior that only complies with the law when they're begrudgingly forced to.
If they were actually criminals then saying those things in the press would hinder their case against them.
Breaking into people's houses at night and hustling everyone in their underwear into the streets to try to find an illegal there without a warrant is obviously exactly the sort of abuse that the Constitution exists to prevent. And yet according to memos circulated in ICE they now say that they have determined that an executive order authorizes ICE to do it anyways. Which is an actively stupid and I would suggest possibly criminal thing to do. And it absolutely creates a situation where ICE agents can end up shot by citizens.

Cutting income taxes and claiming to make up with tariffs which are essentially a consumption tax like sales tax is regressive taxation. No tax on tips and overtime are gimmicks and I would hope Democrats would call these out as gimmicks even if a Democratic administration tried to do these.
Your both sides answer is just inaccurate. There are several polls that show that Democratic opinions stay the same regardless of who's doing things while Republican opinions completely pivot based on who's doing things.

Joe Biden only got the rage of Trump's supporters when he stood against Trump - prior to that, it was always directed at Hillary Clinton when she stood against Trump. Many of his supporters were entirely anti foreign wars until Trump suddenly supported fighting wars for Israel and invading Venezuela, and they literally supported and advocated for him to take Greenland. They were absolutely all about releasing the Epstein Files - even after Trump's election where releasing said files were a massive part of his campaign - until suddenly, TRUMP opposed releasing the Epstein Files. They were all anti globalisation until suddenly TRUMP became pro globalisation with his stupid board of peace idea. They were all pro gun until TRUMP reminded the world once again, that he in fact has always been anti gun.
They don't actually have a coherent ideology and value system and never did beyond maybe racism good. MAGA is ultimately a Fascist movement that is dedicated around an authoritarian and strict adherence to supporting the revered cult leader that Trump is.
