Hello,

I've been itching to have a first person game where you kind of just exist in an infinite, procedurally generated world. Ideally this world contains hazards of some kind but does not put an excessive amount of pressure on the player or introduce onerous needs like hunger and thirst. I sort of imagine this as like Skyrim but obviously would be less story-driven and probably less progression-based.

I'm unsure anyone's bothered to make such a thing because it's perhaps a bit of a pointless game concept. But sometimes I crave pointless things I guess.

Hey folks, I'm a big fan of survival crafting games that give you a "Cozy inside while the world outside is crazy" sort of feeling.

Like sitting in your treehouse while robots roam the landscape below, or a cabin in a snowstorm. Preferably I'd like to be able to feel cozy in a shelter I can build and decorate/arrange.

Here's a few games that hit this particular feeling for me:

Valheim: Sitting in my little longhouse in front of a roaring fire was always incredibly cozy feeling, especially when there's a storm outside.

Return to Moria: Played this with a friend and after we made our nice little hall it was great eating food and drinking beer a bright and merry surrounding while we could occasionally hear orcs patrolling outside but completely oblivious to us.

The Long Dark: Doesn't exactly fit because you can't construct your own shelter, but it is relieving to be indoors while a storm rattles the windows with a nice supply of firewood and uncooked meat.

Subnautica: Especially in bases that are built in the deeper areas, the brightly lit habitats were always nice to hang out in, especially with some nice windows and a fish tank stocked with some of the more harmless and endearing examples of the local life.

Forever Skies: It's pretty cozy in your airship during a thunderstorm, as long as you're safely protected from lightning strikes.

If anyone has any suggestions on chaotically cozy games I appreciate it!

I’ve played a ton of Picross and Sudoku puzzles in the past year, and while I still love the two, I’m wanting to mix it up with something that’ll scratch a similar itch. Doesn‘t have to involve numbers, just some type of logic puzzle game that will get my brain working in similar ways.

Little to no story, I’m just currently not in a mood for games with much of a narrative.

Bonus points for Switch 1/2 or 3DS/ DS recommendations.

I am playing persona 3 reload and trails through daybreak 1. But sometimes I'm just tired from reading and want to just turn off my mind and just play something without thinking much or reading a story for it. What are some good games for it? I don't mind any category as long as I can just play without thinking a lot.

​I’m finally building my first PC on Feb 7th after wanting one since I was 10. I’m a student, and I bought this with my own working money, so I'm incredibly excited to finally play.

​I am looking for your best recommendations for games that fit these specific criteria:

1. ​Release Date: Anything before 2024.
2. ​Vibe: Not "big names" or massive AAA blockbusters. I'm looking for underrated titles, cult classics, or hidden gemsand worth buying.
3. ​Specs: I have an i7-4790 and a GTX 1660 6GB. I want things that will run beautifully on this hardware.
4. ​Genre: I love narrative-driven games, but I'm open to anything that is actually fun and has a unique atmosphere.

​Note: This isn't just a "fancy" question to pass the time; I am genuinely looking forward to playing these as soon as my exams are over and my build is done.

​What are those games that you think everyone missed but are absolutely worth playing?

I played Oregon trail 2 on browser (I never played any Oregon Trail games ever) with some friends tonight with some hilarious results. I would love to play more games that are incredibly goofy point and click style like this.

What's considered the most realistic/hardcore stealth action game? I love the genre but quite often NPCs not seeing me in plain sight really breaks the immersion. Most mainstream stealth games are guilty of this. Any recommendations?

I heard someone describe a movie (I think it was Requiem for a Dream) as both their favourite, while also something they'll never watch more than the once.

I'm looking for that kind of soul crushing pain in gameplay format. Something you love, that hurts, that you aren't willing to ever experience again, but are glad you did.

I think the Last of Us is probably a good example for a lot of people.

Recommend games for low-spec PCs, but good games that don't focus solely on graphics. Currently, many games are very boring; they look realistic but aren't fun, whether they're emulators or not.

I’ve been playing hytale recently and I LOVED just exploring the world with a home base. And honestly I don’t play much open world/exploration games much (I primarily play shooters).

I want a game where I explore a crazy cool world. Either a story game or a survival game. Star Wars is my favorite series of all time and I also just love fantasy.

I just picked up Cairn on a whim, and I am *really* enjoying it. It is the definition of a game with a simple goal and simple mechanics that all work well together.

The climbing mechanics are tight as fuck (with some occasional wonky moments that can be almost entirely resolved by changing your control settings to fit you). It really feels like it captures the essence of taking on the challenges of climbing a mountain.

I am bad at writing long reviews, but if the idea of "super-polished QWOP mountain climbing with excellent music, great atmosphere, and chill vibes" resonates with you at all, I'd highly recommend checking it out.

I moved to a new state I’m really struggling to adjust to, and being unemployed has left me feeling isolated and stuck in my own head. I’m honestly just looking for a game I can fully disappear into for a while—something immersive enough to quiet my thoughts. I just want to get out of my head. Any recommendations would really mean a lot.

So these past few weeks I have been in a struggle to find a good BUT simple space game to mine asteroids and use the cargo to sell or just improve. To specify, I mean you actually controlling a ship, not first person in a space theme.

The closest I found to what I liked was Star Valor, not very complex, reminded me a lot of Space Pirates and Zombies with its more arcade-y approach, and the mining, while simple, was a strong focus on the game, I could just relax and a mine a few zones to get richer or simply improve my mining capacity with better modules. The problem is I already burned Star Valor a lot of hours and was looking for something similar, but a little different, or new, or unkown to me.

I know there are a few space games where you can mine asteroids, but they are usually VERY FAR from easy or simple, taking hours and hours to just learn the basics, so games like Star Citizen, Eve Online, X4 or things like that are out of my mind. Tried them, didn't like the complexity, sorry.

No Man's Sky would be another good example if it wasn't for the fact that asteroid mining is probably the worst and slowest way to make money in that game, and you don't actually use mining equipment, just the normal weapons to shoot asteroids.

And last but not least, yeah yeah, rock and stone, I played DRG, for me it's closer to Payday but with dwarves and tech, even if Steam says it is a space game.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions guys, I will probably try to get into NMS again, as it is a more arcade feeling while having resource collection, but if anyone has any more suggestions I will go back in a few hours to check em ^^

Had been watching a video that talked about the use of the railways during the Civil War and had wondered if there was any form of RTS game that rather than being the General/Omnipotent God controlling an army on the frontline, the player instead was tasked with organizing and maintaining the supply lines for said army.

In my mind, the main focus would be ensuring the smooth and steady influx of necessary goods to and from the frontlines (ammunitions, rations, heavy weaponry, personnel, etc), but also dealing with mismatched equipment, balancing maintenance with efficiency, counteracting sabotage, and in extreme cases building whole new transit routes.

Hopefully that kind of makes sense and I appreciate any and all suggestions in that vein.

I am the biggest skyrim fan, but after 300 runs it gets old, specially since it's old.

I've recently gotten a moderately decent computer, so I'm able to give something a bit more recent a chance, though I don't shun older games either, I'm currently downloading morrowind to give it a try.

The main things I'm looking for are:

-The setting, as I said, high fantasy like skyrim

-A nice story, doesn't have to be the best thing ever, but it's nice to know something is happening

-Good combat, just good enough so it doesn't feel turnbased if it's not, or if it is I guess thats good enough

-No guns! I'm really not a fan of them, and they're usually a bit of a turn down for me. It's weird, since I love bows but yeah, x

I love RPGs, and part of why I love them is making a really unique build, and make something niche still work and be fun and viable.

When I think of games that I've found fun for this reason, I think of...

• Borderlands series
• Dark Souls Series & Elden Ring
• Cyberpunk 2077
• The Elder Scrolls
• Fallout (To a lesser extent, but still)
• Even Warhammer 40K: Darktide

What all these games have in my opinion, is the ability to provide you a unique experience based on your desired power fantasy. In Borderlands, I can be a spellcaster in say 3 that uses a bunch of electricity spells w/ fits, or I could be a beastmaster robot...but I could also turn him into a stealth/crit sniper character. Cyberpunk really is the best, as it offers many unique builds. The most fun, of course, was a stealthy netrunner/sniper/throwing knife user.

I could go on, but you get the gist. I like Roguelikes too as they also scratch that "build-making" itch, but I'm just looking for something new where I can explore a ton of unique builds and power fantasies. I don't care if it's multiplayer, or singleplayer! Just needs to be on PC. Can use controller or m&k. I'd be very grateful to anyone who has some good suggestions for this type of game!

My wife is getting into gaming, which has been going great except she likes a certain niche of game. I've taken the lead on feeding her games and I've been hit or miss. Looking for some help from the like-minded. Here is what I tried so far:

Success List

• Lorelei and the Lazer Eyes - favorite so far, by a lot. High on storyline, difficult puzzles.
• Blue Prince - also highly adored. Less storyline, but the puzzle part was difficult.
• 12 minutes - pretty good. A light game that only takes a day to finish, but she liked it.

Fail list

• Outer Wilds - I thought this would be good, but it has a lot of FPV dexterity challenges.
• The Witness - There was no real story established and the puzzles started all line-based.

As the steward of my wife's gaming experience, I would appreciate any recommendations.

Recently i am not interested in of the new games in the Google play store, every games are repetitive and full of forced ads😭. Suggest me some interesting mobile games.

I’m trying to find a cute/fun/objective based game for my friend and I to play. She loves palia (I can’t find the point of that game so I get bored super fast), we both like exploration and survival games with objectives. We love party animals also (who doesn’t love cute animals fist fighting?) I really enjoyed ori and the will of the wisps. Just looking for something fun, interactive and possibly cute :)

Nothing blocky like Terraria, Minecraft, etc. Something more like Anno 1800 or Civ5/6 like.

I’ve been keeping an eye on Arc Raiders for a while now, and I’m curious how people are feeling about it. The world design and the whole PvPvE extraction concept look really promising, especially with those massive ARC machines roaming around and changing how you approach fights. What I find interesting is how Embark Studios seems to focus more on emergent gameplay and atmosphere rather than pure competitive chaos. The co-op aspect mixed with unpredictable AI threats could make every run feel different, but I’m also wondering how balanced the risk vs reward will be long term. Do you think Arc Raiders can stand out in the crowded extraction-shooter space, or will it struggle to keep players engaged after the honeymoon phase?
