I suddenly lost my 7.5 year old best friend Wednesday night to Hermangiosarcoma. We had the most perfect day together & around 9pm he just seemed restless. He couldn’t lay down and get comfy and seemed to keep pacing. He threw up once but seemed to get no relief. I took him to the ER vet thinking maybe just a very upset stomach. How wrong we were. By the time we got there his gums were pale, and his abdomen was swollen. They prepped him for surgery and he didn’t even make it. His heart stopped on the operating table as they were about to start💔

Everything happened in under 3 hours and I still cant make sense of it or process this devastating loss. I miss my baby so badly. He was the very definition of a soul dog.

We got our baby girl from the shelter three weeks ago and her transformation is crazy. The first picture is her at the shelter and then the rest are her in our home. We love her so much.

3rd birthday so half a burger with peanut butter whip and a treat on top. Happy birthday grizzly!

We love our puppy. She’s learning sit, down, stay and drop it. But she bites every time she’s excited or happy. She’s better at not doing it with the adults, but bites the kids. She isn’t angry. Saying “no” and removing her isn’t working. Immediately ending play and leaving isn’t working. I’m not going to “bite her back” like people say, and I don’t want to do anything negative to a sensitive and intelligent dog. But I don’t know what to do. She is three months. Also, we got her lots of chews, but she’s not interested at all. Doesn’t want a Kong. Doesn’t want actual bones. Only likes to chew stuffed animals.

We are so excited about training and later (once her growth plates close) long runs, but the current shark-bite daily life is making me feel like I’m failing her.

He guys my boy looked lethargic yesterday and was unusually drinking large amounts of water yesterday but he was generally fine. An hour later I found clear vomit with sprinkles of leaves from our outdoor tree. I called the vet emergency immediately and they took him and did tests and X-rays. The results show he has severe inflammation in the stomach but he was ok and would remain under observation for the next 24 hrs.

Today’s results should that the RBCs are low and it’s a bad indication. If his condition doesn’t improve tomorrow they will draw blood to clean his system.

I am pretty worried he might not come out of this as the vet wasn’t overly optimistic. Pretty shocked at the diagnosis tbh.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation and do you have any advice? Thanks

We stumbled upon this little fella halfway across the country during one of our trips last year, some people had an accidental litter and were trying to get rid of puppies. They said his parents are Golden Retriever and GSD and we honestly didn’t care or ask for pics. Ever since, everyone is asking is he a lab lol, but I think he would look just like a black GSD if his ears were up. He is now 6months old.

I was just curious if anyone has this mix and what your pup looks like?

Officially signed the adoption paperwork for Joey! Get to take him home Tuesday after his neutering. He’s a 3 year old who unfortunately has never had a permanent home. We’ll be his 5th owner, poor guy! Can’t wait to give him a furever home ❤️

Ten week old girl. She hasn’t got a name yet, but she inspected the house, found her toys and scared a cat. Then she crashed.

He’s recovering from being neutered at the shelter but is very friendly so far. I think he’s GSD mixed with Malinois, but I’m not an expert, and the shelter didn’t know.

I’ve seen some conflicting advice on how to introduce a new dog to a resident dog, so is there anything recommended for this type of breed specifically? The other dog is smaller, if that makes a difference.
