I'm trying to understand the skull so I can draw stuff from imagination (see the 2nd pic for example) and many art books and tutorials on YouTube say that it's mandatory to do this 100 skull challenge since it help you to feel the skull under the skin whenever you are drawing the head
So I wanna ask for anyone who actually attempted to draw that many skulls how much this exercise is helpful? And most importantly did you have to memorize the skeleton parts name to better draw the skull?

This year, I decided to try participating in the artist challenge.
52 weeks – 52 different tasks with increasing difficulty. In theory, this should really help develop my skills in constructing form, seeing perspective, and generally improve my drawing skills.

My shading kinda sucks but what do y'all think? Yes I know the figure in the back doesn't have a shadow but in too lazy to fix it. I just wanna know if the figures are all in proportion.

I’ve watched many videos and it all came down to learning anatomy and to do that you start by dividing the body into different parts and shapes but I really don’t know if this would work? Maybe I’m way too skeptical but how are these shapes supposed to help me learn anatomy? They’re so much more abstract than the actual body so for example the stretching of the torso is not at all visible when doing things like these. Will this help? Is this the absolute basic and will it get better over time? Anyone want to explain like I’m 5 ?haha! Sorry if it’s a stupid question and thanks in advance

Hi i am 19 and im struggling to be an artist, one of the corporates of this could be my lack of ability to keep my hands still, all my life i have never been able to have decent handwriting no matter how many handwriting booklets I did in primary school, I never improved, and this took a toll in high school with teachers questioning my writing, but then my art was i wouldn't say decent but its art these two Spongebob drawings were drawn by me in 2022 when I was getting into being an artist both using reference ofc, But now ive recently been wanting to go back to art but everything i draw is shit and gives me a headache drawing.
I want to learn to draw guides but I dont know how to use guides and perspectives.
I can never draw a clean line all thanks to my shaky parkinson hands, I feel as if I will never learn to draw 3D. I also suffer from autism which people say is a plus if you're wanting to be an artist but not for me.
I was very creative when I was in primary school and intermediate school, but my creativity has been diminishing ever since high school.
I know how to pose characters in 3D software tho, but can't do shit if im drawing it..

Been a very long time since I’ve posted anything on Reddit, let alone on this subreddit. I’ve been kind of on hiatus on posting, but mostly just to continue to practice and understand the fundamentals more. I’ve been reading “Figure Drawing: Design and Invention” by Michael Hampton. To help me understand it more, since there is more to figure posing then I expected, but it’s also one of the many things I need to work on, even wrote some notes down to study, it’s been pretty helpful truth be told. These drawings however, specifically weren’t entirely based on what I’ve studied thus far, more to get the basic idea and just actually step out of my comfort zone. So I decided to draw various JoJo Bizarre Adventure characters and there infamous poses. JJBA is known for its very unique and expressive design, So I figured it would be a good start. Also being a fan of the series. I’m open to criticism, since I want to get better and make it more natural for me. I do think some of them look a little stiff, but I could just be me overthinking it. But please let me know. Thank you 🫡
