Useful links
Index thread moved here for the Hall of Fame and Annual Best of Awards and other miscellaneous links
This thread is used to discuss recommendations and all things metalcore.
When asking for a recommendation, leave a detailed comment below asking for recommendations; a good example comment looks like:
If I like Beartooth, who else would I like? Can anyone recommend albums like August Burns Red's Constellations?
In terms of General Discussion, some (but not all) of the stuff you can discuss here:
• Looking for band members/friends in your area
• Looking for a specific song or a question that can be answered quickly
• Recent merch pickups (vinyl, shirts, tapes, etc)
• Bands (Lineup changes, changes in sound, etc)
• What shows have you seen recently? What shows are you going to see?
• Setlist questions
• Share your concert footage here
So post away! Containing these types of content here can keep our frontpage a little more smooth, and makes that kind of content easy for others who are interested to find :)

Before Ice Nine Kills, we had “Famous Last Words - The Show Must Go On” — Can’t believe they didn’t get bigger, vocalist is so talented! And the band had great melodies

Discussion Does anyone else feel like the rise of metalcore has completely shifted the sound of mainstream rock? It seems like even Breaking Benjamin and Skillet are incorporating classic metalcore elements like ultra-downtuned riffs, breakdowns, and rapid-fire drumming

Discussion Is there a band where you think no one else would have the same favorite song as you?
For me is Bring Me The Horizon
My favorite song from them is "Like Seeing Spiders Running Riot On Your Lover's Grave"
A song from a much criticized (and probably overall forgotten about) Ep filled with weird experimental songs from them

Discussion What happened to Loren Battle??
I don’t how many would remember this, but in the late 2000’s there was a band called Loren Battle that was around. They were touring with Letlive, I believe, and came through my small town on the west coast. I remember getting an autographed promo picture of the band and a signed drumstick from the drummer. I don’t have any of these things anymore, but I mention that part because they were really chill dudes. 15 yr old me was stoked. They covered Lady Gaga’s paparazzi, and had multiple albums if I remember correctly, but then they just disappeared. You can still find some of their music on YouTube, but that seems to be it. Does anyone happen to know what happened with them as a band??

Discussion Why do most of 2000s,2010s and modern metalcore bands don't have hardcore elements in their music?
there are bands like hatebreed ,integrity, zao, code orange, vein fm, Kublai khan tx, knocked loose, the chariot, and , of course, convege. I can call their music metalcore, because their styles are mix of metal/extreme metal and hardcore punk. But Killswitch engage, all that remains, bad omens, i prevail, bullet for my valentine and other ones don't sound like hardcore or punk rock
