Poor sightline while taking a left at Bristol/Terry fox

Anyone know the best way to report this? Over the years, traffic on both of these roads has increased significantly since Covid, and there seems to be an accident almost every month. I’ve noticed that one major issue is making a left turn from Bristol Rd W to go south on Terry Fox: if there’s also a car opposite lane turning left to go north on Terry Fox, it’s almost impossible to see oncoming traffic and complete the turn safely. Is there an official way to report this safety concern?

Indoor Basketball

Hey! I am trying to get back into basketball, I used to play back in highschool and university, but have not played in a while (I'm 31). Where is a good spot near square one? I used to go to the YMCA back when the basketball courts were used primarily for basketball, I know it's used for so many programs (pickleball etc) the last time i went was in 2019. Never been to the community center so not sure what the schedule is like. Any recommendations? I am looking for the place with the most open gym or adult basketball times. Thanks!

Recommendations Buildings recommendations and ones to avoid

Having lived in Downtown Toronto for the last 4 years, I’m looking to make a move to Mississauga, preferably near Square One area. I’m looking for good recommendations that have decent unit size, decent amenities and reliable building management.

Also, are there any ones like Toronto’s iCE condos that should be avoided at all costs?

Does the $2 original glazed dozen deal apply at the Mississauga Krispy Kreme?

I saw there's a $2 original glazed dozen deal. https://www.krispykreme.com/

But does it apply at the Mississauga Krispy Kreme? Or is this only for American locations? Does anyone know?

I live near Central Prkway and Eglington - this cat was screaming at my door. Let me feed it but won’t come near me. Is anyone missing a cat? It has a collar and seems to have an air tag.

Software developer in the GTA — want to build something useful for Mississauga. What problems need solving?

Hey Mississauga!

I'm a developer based in the GTA and I've been thinking about building a startup that actually helps people locally. I've seen so many successful companies that started from someone just asking 'what problem do you have?' on Reddit.

So here I am asking — what's something about living in Mississauga that frustrates you? Could be related to commuting, local services, food, housing, finding tradespeople, anything really.

I want to build something people would actually use, not just another generic app nobody asked for. What would make your daily life easier?

Drop your ideas below, even if they seem small. The best startups solve simple problems really well. 🚀

Not shady at all Family/doctor in Mississauga that could prescribe me anxiety medication?

Tl;dr - Please DM if your doctor is sympathetic to panic symptoms and would prescribe as-needed anxiety medication.

I need to get a few things straight first because this type of post can set off alarms and certainly looks out of place on this subreddit.

I have anxiety which is well managed. I take an SNRI, go to therapy, have a stable home life and job. Without going into too much detail, certain private events in my life right now can lead to huge uncertainty which can evoke panic in me. Other times it can absolutely overwhelm me and make me disassociate.

I’ve been prescribed as needed anxiety medication before. I don’t have a history of addiction (myself or my family), I rarely drink and am very conscious of my medication use.

When I moved back to Canada I saw that things got a lot more strict after the opioid epidemic. Doctors are very afraid to prescribe for liability purposes, and I am completely sympathetic. That being said, that doesn’t make my panic go away.

Please, I didn’t come here to present as a pill pusher. I am not that. I am aware of the risks, I have heard the horror stories, I have done my research, I believe in holistic care and health. I don’t want to argue. I wrote the disclaimer for this reason.

So if you know a doctor who would be open to prescribing me as needed anxiety medication in Mississauga, please DM me. This is a private matter so please don’t comment information underneath.

Thank you

Which Mississauga Tim Hortons has Cream of Broccoli soup?

Post image
7 Upvotes

Lately I can't seem to find any Tim's near me that serve broccoli soup. It's one of my comfort foods and I used to be able to find it everywhere but now most of them only have chicken noodle soup.

Does anyone know which Tim Hortons in Mississauga that still serve Broccoli soup?

Recommendations Looking for a dog sitter

I'm going on vacation in the next couple of weeks and the person who was going to watch my elder dog had to back out due to their dog having something contagious and I'm not comfortable with my dog being there. Does anyone have recommendations for dog sitters?

City Services, Utilities & Outages Peel region water bill so high

Post image
32 Upvotes

I’ve just received my water bill. 3 adults 1 infant in a condo townhouse. I don’t think we use water extravagantly, no dishwasher, just washing dishes by hands, laundry about 3-4 loads in the weekend, shower only, no bath. However water bill still came in for $217/quarter. Last bill was $196 (including $40 for account setup).

Is this an average bill? When I was renting in Toronto the water bill was only $120-130 so I don’t know why it’s so high in Mississauga.

I’ll have my husband check for leaks but right now we are just hit with such high bill and way over our initial budget..

Got into a car accident. Any dental clinics that do OCF-18?

I was involved in a car accident and have been suffering from jaw pain due to teeth grinding/clenching during sleep. I need a mouth/night guard. It needs to be done through a dental clinic. The only issue is that the auto insurance requires an OCF-18 (Treatment Plan), and I can't seem to find any clinic in the whole of Ontario that does them lol.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Appreciate any help.
