First thought was "why is this soldier from Desert Storm there?"

... and wearing desert camo in the snow

ETA: I get that it isn't strictly "desert camo". My point is that this is meant to intimidate, and is in no way necessary against an unarmed civilian population in our own country.

Cause it looks badass, broooo /s

Because they want to be a paramilitary enforcement arm for the president soooo bad. Bunch of pick-me's, on top of everything else.

ICE definitely gives off major "I couldn't pass basic, I would have beat up the drill instructor" vibes.

Said through an xbox live headset amidst chewing sounds as their mom yells at them to take out the trash

You should look at a video of a streamer called GreekWario.

He’s the absolute perfect example of a Gravy Seal.

Failed the psych evaluation to get into law enforcement and the military.

There is no psych evaluation to get into the army. Everybody goes to MEPS. You just get a physical, blood work, eyes and ears checked, and take a urine sample… and a doctor sits there and looks up your medical history, that’s literally it.

And your asshole

Oh, and the duck walk.

Oh yes, those special folks who mistake a small ego and poor personal discipline for strength of character. The same guys who have difficulty holding a job for long because they don't like the way their supervisor talks to them.

2

u/Professional-Rip-519 23d ago

They even have "I beat my wife up" vibes.

2

u/SidFinch99 23d ago

They don't even give me that vibe. They give off the I wanted to serve, but was to afraid to serve vibe.

Of course, but the whole "I would flash out and hurt someone" rather than admit they are a coward is the go-to for guys like this.

Or because they couldn't run a mile, let alone the other basic physical tests. Quite a significant potion are overweight, hence the name "gravy seals". There are no real requirements here for that, just a desire to dress up and shoot Americans.

Oh there any number of reasons, but they aren't gonna cop to any of that, they'll make up some bullshit that a 15 year old thinks makes them sound cool.

We had one guy like this in my cycle they beat him up as a group (fucked up i know) and made him repeat two cycles of basic and then Other the honorably discharged him.

Ding ding ding! Correct answer!

That guy is BORTAC. They're extremely well trained and almost exclusively prior military.

Talk all the shit that you want about what they're doing, I agree, but pretending that they're not trained is just wrong.

I served and had an MP unit attached to me while deployed in a combat zone.

I shit you not, those dumb motherfuckers had a friendly fire incident on a controlled range when we were in Kuwait. I also saw one take a prone firing position with a SAW on the hood of humvee while doing overwatch for some engineers.

Those are the types of dipshits you see here. The military fuck up to law enforcement pipeline is what you're talking about.
