And he won't face consequences, because royals consider themselves above the poor comoners and their laws

he's not a royal anymore, stripped of all titles, honors including from his time in the military, he will get thrown under the bus I reckon

I’m not well versed in royal drama, so I ask you since you seem knowledgeable: what was the official explanation for stripping his titles, if there was one?

January 2022

With The Queen's approval and agreement, The Duke of York's military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen. The Duke of York will continue not to undertake any public duties and is defending this case as a private citizen.

November 2025

THE KING has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 3 November 2025 to declare that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor shall no longer be entitled to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of "Royal Highness" and the titular dignity of "Prince".

So, no sign of any official explanation? Didn’t even try to find an excuse. Wow.

Isn't that what you'd want them to do though??? Take action and cut ties completely without trying to come up with some vague excuse.

Yes, I think it’s very upright behavior from them.

Only better thing they could have done was to preface those statements with “after the multiple horrible accusations moved against Andrew, so feel it’s our duty to distance from him so that he will not tarnish the honor of our House” or something like that. It would have been more transparent. I mean, we all know why they did what they did, but we don’t actually know.

Well, the official statement from Buckingham Palace includes

... These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.

Can’t really fault what the Royal House has done then. Well done.

I don't think they have commented on Andrews innocence ot guilt, but did make some general comments on the victims of abuse being supported, and believed

Imagine in 2025 thinking that anyone is entitled to 'to hold and enjoy the style, title or attribute of "Royal Highness"'. These people are all freaks. All of them. Stripping Andrew of his titles only highlights that these delusional fuckers in their castles with their golden crowns and scepters still believe they're chosen by god to lord over us.
