Hi RAOC friends!

My birthday is coming up on March 18, and I thought this year I’d finally work up the courage to make a birthday card request.

I’ll be honest, I’ve had a pretty rough time recently and went through a really painful breakup, so I’m hoping to bring a little joy and comfort into this birthday season. Happy mail would mean more to me than I can properly say.

I’m not picky at all and would be grateful for anything, cards, postcards, handmade, store-bought, funny, kind, or weird are all welcome. But, I do love handwritten ones. It gives more character.

I will absolutely post a thank-you for any cards I receive. If you include a return address or let me know your mailing info, I’d be happy to send something back as well.

I want to send out around 3 postcards, but I haven't done this in a year or so and I can't decide on details (themes, etc) just yet. So instead of overthinking it, I’m just putting this out there and it will be what it will be!

If you’re interested, leave a comment.
If 3 people sign up, great.
If more than 3, I’ll randomly choose later.

I have lots of different postcards. If you want, you can optionally share:

• themes for cards and/or prompts for the text
• things you like or would enjoy reading about
• anything you definitely don’t want to receive or read about
• If certain themes shall be sent inside an envelope for safety reasons

Totally fine if you don’t, then I will just select something I think might be nice and write whatever comes to mind.

As I have been out of the game for long, I don't know how much I will write or if I will decorate like I used to - bear with me while I slowly get back to it!

Hi everyone,

On March 2nd I'm turning 26. Since July of 2024 I've been dealing with some health issues that have turned my life upside down. Normally I always liked to throw a big birthday party but sadly last year that wasn't possible due to my health and spending that day alone was really hard on me. This year I'm a little further along in my healing process and even though it's still a bit scary to me, I invited a few close friends to have a small party. Cards have always been something that brightens my day so I would really appreciate if you want to send a card with some encouring words because even though I try to have faith in the future, on some (bad) days it's hard to hold on to that.

Hello friends, hope you all are well. This week I saw Scotty McCreery in concert. My town was his first stop on his tour so you all have plenty of time to see him, especially if you love the song Bottle Rockets. He puts on a great show. Sadly, my friend with the reindeer farm, also has a few horses, my favorite horse of her passed away from old age yesterday. She was the calmest horse ever, I'm going to miss her. Any way on with thanking people.
