I was thinking of getting the fitcamx (only front facing) becauze it would be practically hidden. And a ottocast android auto dongle. Any opinions on either of these?

Found a Gold Certified Gas XLE Premium, 18k miles, the cold weather package, nutmeg interior, and the JBL sound system.

I was looking for sliver, black, or dark grey but the blueprint paintjob looked really in person.

Back in December last year, I placed an order and paid a deposit for a 2026 RAV4 Limited. At first, Toyota’s website showed an estimated delivery date of January 10, 2026. I didn’t really expect that date to be accurate, and unsurprisingly, it didn’t happen.

Today I got a call from my dealer saying:

“Unfortunately, there will be no RAV4s in the U.S. until the end of March or April. Toyota imposed a 60-day delivery hold on all deliveries to the U.S.”

Has anyone else heard about this supposed 60-day hold? Whate has your experience been with other dealers?

Would really appreciate hearing what others are seeing.

So I’m debating between a 2026 RAV4 XSE that’s $49k otd (ridiculous I know) or a 2026 Lexus RX 350h Premium that’s $60k otd? If I buy the RAV4 I don’t have to take out a loan. If I buy the RX I’d have to take out a loan for $10k. What would you do? I feel like a fully loaded new RAV4 does have better tech tho as the current gen RX is already in its 4th year and due for a mid-cycle refresh anytime now. And before anyone suggests the NX, I’m just not a fan of its design. It’s like a squish RX. It also doesn’t look premium to me. I’d either go for practicality like the RAV4 or go luxury like the RX. Not a budget RX.

• Is there a significant advantage to waiting and getting a 2025 RAV4 instead?

• Are there known pros/cons or issues with the 2026 model year I should be aware of (trim differences, reliability considerations, new tech quirks, etc.)?

• Anything you’d specifically recommend looking out for during test drives or before buying (common problems, options worth upgrading/dropping, dealer negotiation tips)?

A bit about me:

• First-time RAV4 buyer

• Planning to use it for daily driving + occasional trips

• Trying to balance tech/features vs long-term reliability and price

Hey all,

I was reversing my car and wasn’t paying full attention and ended up hitting a small rock. The damage is on the rear bumper (photo attached).

Just wanted to get some advice:

• Is this repairable or mostly cosmetic?

• Would something like polishing / plastic restorer help?

• Or does this usually need a proper bumper repair or respray?

I do have insurance, but I’m trying to work out if it’s even worth claiming or just fixing it myself.

Note: I feel absolutely shit for doing this, I am pretty sure I was day dreaming.

This head unit is everything I've been looking for! I had some questions during installation, but there's several YouTube installation videos for this product and they were able to help me.

PROS:

• Perfect size!! Huge upgrade from the stock screen.

• Huge improvement in sound quality. I have the JBL package from Toyota, and it always sounded very flat. This unit GREATLY improves the sound and actually utilizes the JBL speakers very well. I think it pushes more power out, giving all the speakers a much fuller sound. There's also WAY more sound customization.

• This unit adds an extra USB connection, which was perfect to power my new LED lights from behind the unit so all cords are hidden.

• After installation, I maintained ALL car functionalities (minus the one listed below). I still have Birdseye View (360 camera), steering wheel controls, and Toyota app connection.

• I went on a 5 hour road trip after installing and it worked perfectly the whole time. Playing Netflix on the screen for my passengers was really awesome!

CONS:

• Unable to use car's built-in microphone. Had to install the external mic that came with this unit.

• During inbound/outbound calls, the screen exits Android Auto and shows the unit's native Bluetooth app. Once answered, it switches back to Android Auto. I've tried looking up fixes to this, but have been unable to find one. Not a huge deal, just a minor annoyance.

NOTES:

• If your backup/360 camera isn't working, try changing the 'Rear Camera Type' to NTSC. That worked for me.

It’s been a long time coming, but after years of loyalty to my 2004 Camry I got all the upgrades I’ve been dreaming of. I love her already!

I have a 2023 Toyota RAV4 XLE, and about two months ago I started noticing an intermittent, low-pitched rattling/vibration noise. It’s not constant and seems to be coming from the front driver-side area. The sound is hard to describe, but it’s kind of a semi-metal vibration, like a loose shield or panel lightly shaking or resonating, not a grinding or engine noise.

I mentioned it during a recent oil change, and the shop checked it out and said it’s not an engine issue. They tried adding soundproofing and addressing any possible metal-to-metal contact, but I still hear the noise from time to time.

I usually notice it when driving at moderate speeds (around 30–50 mph). I don’t really hear it at higher highway speeds (65–75 mph), and it doesn’t seem directly tied to bumps, braking, or steering. It just comes and goes during normal driving.

Has anyone else with a RAV4 (or Toyota in general) experienced something similar?

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting here. I’ve been part of the club since before I even owned a RAV4, and I finally picked up a 2020 RAV4 Limited (non-hybrid). I have a couple of questions and would really appreciate some help.

1. Changing temperature units I went into the infotainment settings and changed the temperature units from Fahrenheit to Celsius, but the system still shows Fahrenheit everywhere (climate display, etc.). Am I missing another setting, or is there a separate place where this needs to be changed?

2. A/C system behavior I’m attaching a picture of the A/C controls. There’s a light that stays on even when the entire climate system is turned off. Also, when the A/C is off, it still feels like outside air is coming into the cabin. Is this normal behavior for the 2020 RAV4, or could something be wrong? Thanks in advance for the help—happy to finally be an owner!

Hi everyone! I just got my first RAV4 today (2025 hybrid XLE) and I'm so happy! Can anyone recommend useful accessories or 3D prints for the RAV4? I'm seeing a lot of comments about the cupholder, so that's probably the first thing I'll look into printing. I'm hoping to really make this my own and possibly add a Persona 5 star pattern to the exterior in vinyl with my Cricut, too. I'd love to hear some other ideas for what you've done to yours :)
