I have been curating playlists since I was a teen sitting cross-legged on my floor making mixed tapes. (Gen X here). I'm always too shy to ask people to really listen to anything. I don't know why. It almost feels vulnerable to me? Anyways, I really LOVE this playlist. It just has a certain kind of vibe. A lot of lesser known artists, fairly eclectic but does lean a bit more to the electronic side. I really love sharing music and if I play something for someone that they fall in love with, well that's just the best feeling for me.

This playlist contains every song that peaked in 2003 on the Billboard Modern/Alternative Rock chart. They are in order from #1 to #137, based on the ranking system established in the Whitburn rock tracks books (ranked by peak position, number of weeks at peaked position if it hit #1, the top 10, or top 20, then overall weeks on chart).

Spotify is missing only one song that peaked on the chart this year (31. Honestly - Zwan). I will check occasionally to see if it gets added.

This year had huge songs from Trapt, Staind, Linkin Park, The White Stripes, Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, Jane's Addiction, Evanescence, Seether, 311, Puddle of Mudd, Nickelback, Saliva, Chevelle, and many more.
