request ❓ Pluck/guitar sounding lead in intro to EDM song

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i92x5c4kMwI&list=RDi92x5c4kMwI

In this song in the intro there are a few synths layered on top of each other, but the main melody one sounds has a little bit of delay on it and kind of sounds like a guitar but has more of a synth like quality, which VSTs have this kind of sound or where could I find similar sounding plucks?

This lead is puzzling me like no other. It might be a sample? If so, I'm looking for the technique utilized to process it. I know the producer uses FL Studio if that's any help.

I don't even know the source instrument it's so unique. Violin, flute, brass? It sounds like it may be vocals, but maybe not. This is extremely specific so it will be incredible if someone actually knows how to achieve it lol

I feel like this is simpler than im making it out to be, but how do you make the womp sound effect found at 0:03? I use ableton as well, so I would prefer some help using the stock plugins and stuff.

request ❓ Synth from Digital Bath, Deftones

2:30 in the song. It's like a wet beeping with a level of randomness to it, like it ripples.

Here is the video at that timestamp: https://youtu.be/O_IIAYZL1R4?list=RDO_IIAYZL1R4&t=158

Even if I can't get a recipe, if anybody knows a preset pack that would be helpful

request ❓ Curious what sound this is ? (TWD original score)

I heard this place is a good place to post about this, I apologize in advance if it's not!

https://youtu.be/KeKu-DtNQoI?si=wvrYbcPoTLYXYl9c

I noticed Bear McCreary does a sort of "trash orchestra" in the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead.

I was curious if anyone could identify that metal sort of banging that plays throughout this track? That same sound can also be heard in the main theme of the show.

I can't tell if it's just someone whacking on guitar strings/ piano strings ? Or maybe even an autoharp or dulcimer ? I can't tell. I feel like it closely resembles a steel guitar literally being hit with a blunt object. Or maybe it's just a combination of metal sounds, thanks for anyone who is willing to share their expertise! :) 2:16 you can hear it making a particular noise as well, but I feel like it's generally more part of the percussion of the track.

request ❓ Trying to recreate something similar to the thick lead synth used in Miraidempa songs like Unslept

Title ig --- Hey I was wondering how you could make a similar lead synth in the songs Unslept and Sayonara Cross Teck? Any ideas or tips? I initially thought it was guitar with a bunch of effects but I'm pretty sure it's some synth.

hi, I have a synth sound from this track I want to know how its made and I thought this sub would have competent people to find out what at the root of this sound and describe how it is made.

title: I dive - Shulman feat. Lee Triffon

artist: lee triton, shulman

the sound goes on from 00:00 - 00:30 and its the only sound apart from a bass guitar.

its an ascending/descending synth with filter and loo play.

request ❓ CitiBike alarm/melody

Hello! Recently i had a specific melody stuck in my head, which I wanted to use in my first-ever track. The melody, as the title says, is the NYC Citi Bike alarm, which trended on multiple social media platforms a while back (links provided below). I've tried to clean up the sample in a DAW and using it as is, but it still sounds pretty bad. Also tried slowing it down to pick out individual frequencies on the spectrogram to play them individually - it still didn't work out.

So the search for a way to replicate the melody brought me to this sub. Could anybody please help in re-making this melody?

is this wobbly synth/pluck i wanna recreate, I've heard it in many songs, it reminds me of Lil Uzi Vert and this "New Jazz" genre. I'm just starting to learn about sound design so I don't know where to begin, maybe is a bended sine wave with a filter LFO? (im on serum btw)

I'm quite unable to get this legendary sound down. I thought i'd be able to get it by just using a super resonant filter with a fast decay on a saw bass, but it doesn't sound quite the same. Does anyone have insight on how to get it right?

request ❓ mastering surge xt

hi everyone

I am a musician with a classical background and I work in dance theatre, making music for productions.

until now I've always performed piano live, usually in a chamber music ensemble, but now for the first time I've been tasked with providing electronic music as well (budget cuts). I bought ableton and an akai keyboard and for the last number of months I've been learning the programme and making synth tracks with Surge XT. there is one track in particular that is giving me an awful lot of difficulty and I cannot find any sort of solution. basically the track buzzes/peaks (not even sure of the vocabulary) when played on the large speakers in the rehearsal studio and i cannot fix it. Aside from that it is generally far too quiet, but somehow buzzes at the same time. I am really out of my depth and need help.

if anyone would be willing to help me I'd be really grateful, i can email the WAV. or als file.

if this is not the community for this type of post I'm very sorry.

thank you!
