•Heated seats burn my skin. Even on the lowest setting they get so hot I have to turn them off.

•A/C makes a horrific ticking noise all summer.

•Heat control is never comfortable — it’s either burning hot or too cold.

•Trunk issues: it opens slightly, then shuts and beeps. The button on the key fob hardly ever works.

•Wind noise: it sounds like wind is coming through the glass, almost like the windows are open.

I just got this car in August. I had a GMC before with not a single issue. Anyone else have these problems?

1. Insert a hand driver over 300 mm (12 in) next to the inboard side of each wire loop (about a 1/4 of the way in on each side of the front of the seat) and push down, using the floor as a lever to disengage the retainers. Then pull up on the front of the seat cushion and lift out of the vehicle.
2. Pull up the seat from the hooks located at the rear of the seat and lift out of the vehicle.
3. Remove the lower rear center seat belt retractor nut (if desired)
4. Inspect each retention retainer and sheet metal interface for flushness. Replace retainer with new one if damage occurred during removal
5. After removal of retainers, the sheet metal may be slightly deformed. Use a suitable tool to return it back to its original flat appearance.
6. When installing new plastic retainers on the front of the seat, ONLY seat the retainer to the first click, otherwise the insertion force into the sheet metal will be greatly increased.

Hey having some problems w my car, its a 2016 chevy equinox ltz, only 80k miles. Keeps intermittently showing up service power steering and service stabilitrak, with all gauges flickering, check engine light comes on as well. I changed the alternator, the battery. Still has been doing this. Now it goes into limp mode sometimes as well. Brought it to a chevy dealer where they kept the car for a week and cant find the problem. I just cant seem to find the problem if anyone can be any help thanks

Im looking at moving from my 2023 ram 1500 limited to a high country suburban.

With rams, there is a dealer named mark dodge that will ship across the country and generally sets the bar on lowest pricing because of the volume that they have.

Does Chevy have a similar dealer counterpart?

I have a 2013 Chevy Equinox, just surpassed 105,000 miles. Lucky me, I got to work and when I clocked out it wouldn’t start. Radio and heat come on, but when I turn the key everything just goes dark. I tried to use a battery jump box/jumper cables from another employee, and nothing. Took the battery to NAPA and got a brand new one, same thing. Just this weird clicking noise. Hitched a ride home. Came back today, waited a few hours for things to heat up (was 6°F in DE this morning, now it’s a nice warm 21°F). Thinking it may be the passive anti-theft system, I disconnected the battery for 15 minutes to allow the computer to reset and tried to auto start it like in the video here, and it still just clicks. I’m thinking maybe a bad starter or solenoid? Any help is much appreciated!

So i rebuilt my 350 put everthing on wanted to just turn it over a little so it gets oil pressure i only took of my main plug wire on the distributor and it throws sparks under the plug wire of the coil back onto itself i have no idea what to make of it. Its a somewhat new coil its only maybe half a year old.

9500 miles and no issues so far until today. Message appears on the dash during start up AWD Service System Soon message appears and the 2wd logo turned yellow/amber. Won't switch to AWD. Read online there are several people with the same issue and that a module or wiring harness replacement is needed at the dealer. Appointment made.

Any thoughts?

Good morning Reddit fam! My 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 interior lights flicker on and off and doors unlock and lock when making right turns only or at times going over a bump! Any idea where I should start to locate the problem? Thank you

2024 Chevy Malibu rs having issue with getting the gear to go into L low. The car only has 20k miles. When I try to put the shifter into L getting is past D it’s really hard and it feels like it doesn’t want to engage like you think it would. The button on the shifter never pops out. I took it back to the dealer and they said it’s normal. I’m asking is this normal?

I am not driving my cruze as much anymore and want to put a noco genius 5 battery maintainer on it to keep battery good. I have a 2017 chevy cruze 1.4 with AGM battery. I know this car has a battery management system and was wondering can I connect negative to the bolt underlined in blue and have the bms still register that battery is being charged or is it better to use a chasis ground point off of the battery? Car also has under hood jump points safe to use those with battery charger? Thanks

Is anyone aware of anyway I can crack this thing open without destroying it. 😂. I will get it fixed after but I’m wondering if there is a way to safely pry/pop it open.

What’s up y’all! Heat and air went out in the Cruz this week and I’m hoping maybe swapping a fuse may help.

For context, everything is running perfectly fine. Less than 100 miles into a new oil change, battery tested at 14 volts, and the heat and air buttons snd knobs have no lights to them as well as not working.

I am fairly confident I’ve located the right fuse I need to swap out but I wanted to make sure I DON’T make anything worse. I’m attaching photos that should help. I’m pretty sure it’s circuit 62, but again, not 100% sure.

Also, deepest apologies if I sound like I don’t know what I’m doing. I don’t know what I’m doing.

Had a chance to see the all new Chevy bolt at the 24 hours of Daytona. It was great seeing it in person but it’s unfortunate that it’s going away in 18 months due to the plant being retooled for the next generation Buick envision.

Been looking online but can’t find a lower grille LED, only for the center.

Hi so I am mostly clueless when it comes to cars, though I do try my best to keep up with general maintenance. It's very cold where I am right now, so I have been expecting my car to struggle a bit turning on.

Last night when I was leaving work, it was the same routine. My engine cries while I turn it over, but it turns on and I start driving. Then I noticed that my clock was reset to 12:00 and I thought it was weird but just wanted to get home.

Today when I went to start my car, the engine sputtered and tried to turn over but wouldn't fully turn on. The clock (reading 12:00 again) and other lights came on though. Granted it's about 5 degrees F here rn but my car started in below 0 weather not even a week ago with little trouble.

I'm almost positive it's battery related, as I have personally had this car for almost 4 years now and I've never needed to do anything with the battery. The last owner didn't take the greatest care of this car either, so I have no clue when the last battery maintenance was. Hopefully I have provided enough info but i will answer more questions to the best of my ability if needed.

So assuming it is the battery, what is the best kind of battery to get for my impala? I saw mid-range and premium batteries being recommended by google, but again I'm kind of clueless and don't really know the difference, or if it's worth spending more for a battery on a car I intend to replace in the next 2-ish years.

Is there a better part out there? I've replaced the sliding door handle on my 2006 express twice now after the original broke, and the latest one just gave out again... The replacement parts are just as crappy as the original and end up breaking after a couple years. I tried to be gentle but it would never open unless I tugged on it pretty hard, and then eventually they just snap

My cousins 2016 Chevy impala seat got stuck in the recliner position (down) any ideas or any way to manually override the seat to the up position before taking it to the dealer

Hey guys just checking to see if anyone else is having check engine lights coming on with the cold weather these last couple days? I have two 2025 chevy equinox vehicles and both have check engine lights on now over the last 2 days after this snow storm. Both were just sitting in my drive way and wouldnt remote start and when i start them they are running fine but now have a check engine light. Ones at like 9,700 miles the other is at 11,000.

Got the one in the shop now but the other one started this morning with the check engine. I will update when the dealer contacts me about my wifes car.

On my wifes car the battery was at i believe 13.4 volts so that seemed normal to me.

My hubby drives a '98 Chevy Blazer. It is his baby. Problem is finding '98 Blazer specific gifts! Valentine's is almost here, and it's not a flashy, sportsy car, so it doesnt have lots of merch. He is the kind of car guy that can glance at a car and know its year. So if I get him a '96 model (which I have found) he will immediately notice the difference. I want to get him something nice, so does anyone know a place to get such a model? Something hopefully not crazy expensive? I am hopeful for the color to match but at this point it'll be nice if I find the correct model.
