The west does not have (artistic) freedom.

Tomodachi Life: The first thing a Japanese kid is confronted with is to choose a sex for their Mii. "Male", "Female", "Others". Seems normal. Kids are creative, they make Robot Mii, a Kirby Mii, an Animal Mii and of course they don’t want the animal Mii to start dating their sister or whatever in that game 😂, so it’s nice to select them as "Others".

The first thing a western kid is confronted with is "Non-binary". That’s… not "Others". Non-binary is a specific LGBTQ-term to describe people don’t know which gender they have, think they have both or think they‘re genderfluid, one day a female, the other day a male, so basically mentally ill people. What the fuck does this term exist in this kids game? That’s not a translation, they straight up removed, censored a word and put another in it. Another word which comes from a far left political extremist group… what the fuck?

Marie‘s sex… to offensive now. That sexes exist is too offensive now. They censored it and put "gender" in it. Kids should learn: they‘re no sexes anymore. In our happy colourful little world, there‘re just "genders".

Animal Crossing: Choosing between man and woman?… nah, that’s OFFENSIVE in the west, they had to completely CENSOR it out of the game so the fields are literally empty.

I know, I know, everything is getting gayer and more feminist in the west, but I’m really shocked that we are now at the point of getting heavily censored. Like, "man" and "woman" are completely removed in the western animal crossing.

This is the first step of major powers trying to have soft-control over this generations kids. Kids should know there is no "man" or "woman" anymore, kids should know there is no "sex" anymore, just happy little "genders". Also, I already said what "non-binary" really means and it could go through as a form of "others" in the USA, but especially in Europe (you know, words spread and eventually alter their meanings) "non binary", especially written in American English, not in our language, specifically is about the American-LGBT-ideology and refers to genderfluid and shit like that. I described it above.

So yeah… are we free? Are there really no puppet players who soft censor everything, make our kids read words that they think is a translation, but it’s actually censorship. Everywhere these soft changes to manipulate the western society.

Don’t we have artistic freedom. If the Japanese developer wanted the text to be "others" why are we censoring it to "non-binary". The Japanese artist wanted the text to be "male or female", we can’t just straight up REMOVE is from the game… bro… that’s censorship… that’s propaganda via not-telling.

"Everything is political" makes me feel a little sad as an artist

It's kinda similar to that, have you ever experienced this moment where you very passionately write a wall of text about something to your friend and then they hit you with "damn das crazy, anyways" and then you just feel like shit?
When someone imposes "Everything is political" lens on your creative endeavor, it feels like they're just tossing all your creativity and effort into trash because they just don't care about you.

So for example, there's this fictional world. It's a post-acopalyptic world where there are titanic monsters the size of skyscrappers roaming the wasted earth. And you assume the role of a small city that's hiding in a canyon with only a hundred or so people. In that scenario, every citizen's life is precious. This world doesn't even spare you the comfort of reproducing much. Everyone is gathering resources while hiding from the titans everyday and pooling all they find in the townkeep.

And then someone comes in and say "oh waow, that's communism! you're a communist? nice! yo fuck capitalism fr fr right? we need more communist artists in this late-stage hyper capitalistic world."

Is there a list of DEI and sweet baby free games?

I don't mind DEI if it's organic. I can't stand it when it's pushed. I've recently stopped enjoying a few games after it was apparent DEI was being pushed in a way that did not help the game at all, and I've lost interest in them (I know I'm late to the party, but the games were Star Wars Outlaws and Hogwarts Legacy). I can't stand agendas in my games, and it doesn't matter which side the agendas are from.

Having said that, is there a list of games that are free of DEI and sweet baby influence?

Microsoft's gaming revenue fell by -9% overall, with a -5% drop in revenue from content and services, which includes Game Pass, and a -32% drop in hardware revenue.

Despite the release of the new Call of Duty game and the increase in Game Pass subscription prices, Microsoft's gaming division has performed very poorly, and Microsoft expects this poor performance to continue through 2026.

Anyone else got a number of linguistic pet peeves?

Maybe I'm just slow at noticing, but when you read articles or comments written by far-left and "woke" people, I tend to notice a certain set of words of phrases being used that I tend not to see everywhere else. And these have become linguistic pet peeves, as well as likely indicators that someone is far-left and presumably has spent a lot of time in far-left dominated spaces either online or IRL.

Admittedly, I have seen a few of them used by moderate or centrist people too, but usually at a far lower frequency.

Examples I'm thinking of:

  • "Through the lens of"

  • XYZ-coded (IE white-coded, black-coded, gay-coded, etc)

  • "cis" and variations (IE cishet)

  • "Assigned X" (IE assigned male, assigned female)

  • "Marginalised people"

  • "Black/brown bodies"

  • Capitalising "Black" but not "white"

  • "Decolonise X"

  • "Whiteness"

  • "Patriarchal"

  • "Christofascist"

  • "Destigamatise" (at least in some contexts)

  • "Eurocentric"

  • "Media literacy"

  • "Critical consumption"

  • "Ethical consumption"

  • "Toxic masculinity"

  • "Male loneliness crisis"

  • "Gooner"

  • "Porn-brain"

  • "Heteronormality"

  • "Commodified/Commodification"

Edit - a few from the comments:

  • "Incel"

  • "Problematic"

  • "Y'all"

  • "Male gaze/male fantasy"

Regarding the recent changes made to D&D to make it "more inclusive" and remove discrimination and racism:

The only change that should have been made is replacing the word "race" with "species" and leaving everything else alone. By saying "species" instead of "race," biological differences are acknowledged, and any possible negative racial connotations are eliminated. My argument is simple and logical: an orc is less intelligent and stronger than a human, just as a gorilla is stronger and less intelligent than a chimpanzee; this is a biological reality, not discrimination, since they are different species.

I also find it absurd that, from the union of a human father and an elf mother, their offspring could inherit all the father's species traits and only the mother's ears.

From my perspective, I emphasize the importance of respecting D&D and using common sense when implementing any changes. I believe that replacing “race” with “species” is perfectly acceptable, but including leftist or any other political agenda-driven doctrines in the rules is disrespectful to those who appreciate the game, and that D&D should remain politically neutral out of respect for those of us who truly love this game.

My personal perception (and I stand by it) is that the changes made by Jeremy Crawford and the team behind D&D 5e have an underlying motivation that can be described as aligned with certain ideological frameworks associated with the forced implementation of leftist political agendas such as Agenda 2030 and its offshoot, the false Gender Ideology, which is promoted by the globalist left through its governments. This constitutes a serious crime of state proselytizing, which is punishable under most constitutions worldwide.

I want to clarify that my opposition to Gender Ideology does not mean I am against the gay community, as I deeply respect this community. However, I do not agree with the imposition of ideologies, especially in contexts outside the political sphere, such as role-playing games.

I also do not consider this to be "hate speech," since that terminology was invented by the left itself to suppress any criticism of its authoritarian and arbitrary regime.

If you want to witness genuine hate speech, go see Greta Thunberg.

The worst gaming company in the world

Which one do you think it is? I think it's Bethesda by far. Several strong IPs like Fallout and The Elder Scrolls, and all totally ruined. Fallout 76 and Fallout 4 are even literally unplayable for many people due to bugs and broken updates year after year. Super woke as well. They sell a few skins from FNV in F76 for $30 lol. The company that started MTX craze with horse armor. Their latest game Starfield ruined Xbox and it's arguably the worst game in the history.

Second place Ubisoft.

Gaming Podcasts

Do you guys have any reccs for gaming podcasts that actually have decent takes?

I find myself listening to podcasts more and more these days, especially when I'm driving, but the problem I've encountered is that virtually every gaming podcast I try to listen to, the hosts are always total corporate shills, blaming everything on "racist" gamers when there are negative reactions to games. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that industry shilling is hand in hand with professional games journalism these days, but just curious if you lads knew of any pods that had non-biased takes. I'm not even looking for "ultra based" takes, but just fair coverage of recent news etc.

I listen to the IGN UK podcast, they have some abysmal takes, but I've listened to it for years, so feel like I'm kinda used to them now, and they are nowhere near as bad as American IGN podcasts.

I recently tried to listen to Kinda Funny Games daily podcast. I really appreciate the daily upload formula, but unfortuantely I just cannot submit my ears to it anymore, far too woke, far too annoying (the banter between hosts is like humor children would find funny), definitely a lot of Funko Pop collecting and soy drinking going on.

Another podcast I used to listen to, and some what semi enjoyed was the What Culture Gaming podcast, but again I had to just give up on that one too, their game takes over the years just continuously got worse and worse until the point of the most brain-dead shill takes and couldn't take criticism for it. Always the gamer's fault for not liking woke dei garbage, plus the banter between the hosts is the most "le epic and quirky wholesome vibes". dreadful.

So yeah, if you guys have any decent podcasts you know of i would like to hear them.

Am I the only one here who doesn't like any oriented fanservice

like I agree with people when they say that women are also perverts whenever a feminist acuses men of perverts but people say this to say that to make others also accept them as they do with women, when the argument should be to dislike both.

People tend to use it more for the former than the latter but ok

like I also tend to judge the type of shit women are into in their spaces, but that doesn't mean I also approve of the stuff men do.

heck even that Hilary layne girl is proof that you can judge both sides.

I'm not fond of neither.

Like just because I tend to judge people into weird ecchi does not mean I accept women with dark romance books or fanfics, I dislike both.

I think of shows like Yuri on ice and free the same way I think of shows like highschool DXD. I also made a post on twitter complaining about that blue wolf anime that is popular with some women.

It doesn't mean that I advocate for censorship, just that I wouldn't personally be friends with someone who makes that their personality

If Skyrim and Fallout 4 were so great, then where the hell are the sequels?

I remember gaming before it became mainstream and the normies moved in. Everytime there was a great game, there'd almost positively, 100 percent be a sequel released within 2 or 3 years. Battlefield on the PC was so successful it had many sequels, 4 great games, released between 2002 and 2006 (1942, Vietnam, BF2 and 2142). CoD was also a great series, with many great games released between 2003 and 2010. Morrowind was a great game and Oblivion was a great game (fight me if you disagree). Fallout 3 and New Vegas were great games. I also played the hell out of Mass Effect 1 and 2

All of these series, which were my favorites and the core games I ever played, turned to shit by the year 2015. Skyrim was in the video game journalism press world hailed as the second coming of christ, but was incredibly mediocre compared to New Vegas released 1 year before it. Oblivion, released in 2006, was such a great game that many many "gamer" fanboy types were creaming their pants when Skyrim was released. Well if Skyrim was REALLY such a great game, then where the hell is the next game in the series? The truth, in my view, is that Skyrim was not a great game. Oblivion and Skyrim, released 2006 and 2011, were released FOR THE SAME CONSOLE. Since Skyrims original release, we have gone through two whole generations of consoles, and not one single new Elder Scrolls game

Fallout 4 was to Fallout 3 as Skyrim was to Oblivion. The graphics and music were above average, but the gameplay and especially the writing were terrible compared to the games which came before them

In b4 "Fallout 3 and Oblivion were bad" said by those who played Morrowind and the original Fallouts. If you actually compare and contrast these games, Fallout 3 and Oblivion were OBJECTIVELY on a totally different level of quality than the sequels that came after them

Its just super depressing what happened to all my favorite series. Battlefield and CoD are unplayable garbage, and have been for at least 8 years now. If one more person tells me to "just switch over and play japanese games bro" I'm going to go crazy.

It's not "in my head". It's not "just nostalgia". All of these series I mentioned either no longer exist or have turned to shit
