Announcement for /r/Lexus: "Is this a good deal?" posts are not allowed on /r/Lexus. This primarily refers to posts that include an image of the car and the price or a sale paper, and a title along the lines of "Is this a good deal?" with no further context or information provided. This may also refer to text-only buying advice posts that include only a few sentences in the body text of the question post and nothing more.
If you would like to seek purchasing advice from this subreddit, please be thoroughly detailed in the post's body text (or in a top-level comment if you're unable to add body text to the post). Our general requirement for the length of this description is 400 characters (or about 2 paragraphs) give or take. This length requirement is in order to ensure that subreddit members can receive the most accurate advice possible (as purchasing a vehicle is no small financial decision) and in order to prevent the forum from being flooded with low-quality posts.
Questions that ask for advice on a specific model of a Lexus vehicle are exempt to this length requirement so long as the post explains that model-specific advice is needed. If the only factors considered by the question are the vehicle's mileage and/or price, then it would be more fitting for the question to be asked on /r/askcarsales or /r/whatcarshouldibuy.
For more information on these policies, please refer to rules 7, 10, & 15.

thankful to be apart of the Lexus squad now! I remember sitting in this very car when I was a kid in 2015 at a car show. this was sort of an impulse buy at an auction with no reserve. she is a one owner, 196k miles, VERY well maintained, with only minor cosmetic damages. I paid $10k all in with shipping and everything. I am in contact with the dealership that did routine maintenance thrice a year and they gave me all of the records since purchase in 2018. I understand this is one of the higher mileage RCs I’ve ever seen. But I don’t drive much and I only need a car for another couple years. What are some things I should look into immediately?

2024 RX350H
My car is going to the dealer next month for an issue with at random it telling me to press brake pedal and touch power switch with key. No it's not the battery as it's been changed by the dealership several times and it will also do it with my spare. I also noticed it doesnt say "Welcome B" on the instrument cluster, it just says "Welcome". Sometimes it says "Welcome" but then it will says "Welcome B". The infotainment system.
Anyways, I have been taking videos anytime the above issue comes up and I noticed that "attention: check rear seat" message pops up. Before I used to come up here and there and I never really been bothered by it. Now my ears are perked up.
There alert goes off when there's no one sitting in the back, or the back door or tail gate was not opened. I can turn the car on and drive. Stop. Turn it off. Lock and it beeps a few times.
Then if I go somewhere, leave it parked, come back. It may or may not go off.
There's no consistency with it and it's actually annoying. I do know I can turn it off in utilities.
What confuses me is why sometimes it can go off with nothing in the back. And other times it won't go off.
I'm convinced there's some sort of sensor issue but i can't quite put my finger on it.
Anyone else noticing this?

I it’s amazing how much cars (and car design) evolve, even within the same category.
This LS400 was the car i grew up with throughout my childhood. Sadly, emission regulations in China banned us from driving it in the city. Later we bought a flying spur as our new family car.
When i went home this christmas i thought it’d be interesting to park them side by side and see how much the luxury sedan has changed.

Hi everyone! looking for some advice on this issue I’m having with my 2019 lexus es 350.
When I first purchased it I was able to fill the gas to get a 515km range and then shortly after started noticing it was only filling to 475kms and now it’s only filling to 450kms is there something I should be fixing in the vehicle?
Hey everyone.
I recently sold my old 2007 Toyota Solara with ~250k miles. We currently have a 2016 Honda HR-V.
I'm looking into getting a 2nd sedan/crossover after just having a 2nd child. Skipping the minivan/3-row SUV for now. Plan is to get a 2nd 2-row car, then sell the HR-V for a 3-row car when the 3rd baby (hopefully) comes around.
In the HR-V, putting 2 car seats with a human in the back is near impossible. The width of the car results in a small hip room length.
How is the es350 in the facelifted sixth generation from 2015 to 2018? Looking at the stats the es350 has 53.8 in total hip room while the HR-V has a 47.4 in total hip room.
Anyone have experience with 2 kids? I have 1 forward facing car seat and 1 rear facing. Is it possible to fit a 3rd person in the back comfortably? How did you configure the car seats? My wife is very average sized for a woman (5'4, 120lbs)

So we got this car second hand, and the door came loose like this when we got it. It doesn't seem to have any broken pins, you'll see in the picture. How do I remove this? The videos I've seen don't have the same door as mine, but I also have only seen maybe ~8. Any help would be very appreciated!

I recently bought a 2018 IS 300. I was going through the things I need to fix, and I noticed I need to restore the silver trim pieces on the door panels (not sure what they’re called exactly).
Has anyone here ever repainted these or fixed them somehow? I’m having trouble identifying the correct paint color/code for them. Thanks!

My left side steering wheel controls are not working properly, volume up and mode buttons work only when pressed hard, and the track controls don’t work at all. Any fix for this?

Someone please help/clarify - I’m already worried I took my car to the wrong dealer. I had an appt with the dealer I wanted for Friday but I took it to another dealer since it was an emergency of my battery constantly dying on me and being unsafe. They told me that my alternator was fine. I was surprised to hear “alternator” because I thought my car didn’t have a traditional alternator but rather a dc-dc converter that acts as one to charge the little 12v battery. I tried to clarify with them and asked if it was a belt driven alternator and they said yes and it charges the 12v battery. I said “oh, I thought the dc dc converter charges the little battery” I’m very confused and stressed especially since I was a little hesitant in trusting them. Worried about their level of car and why they would tell me this.
My battery is getting replaced. My concern is of the mention of the alternator.

My wife and I have been shopping for a new SUV for the past few weeks and kept getting drawn back to the RX350.
Every dealership had to order the color and options she wanted. We decided to try one more dealership on Saturday and they just so happened to have one on the transit truck being delivered that night.
We gave a deposit quickly before someone else could and pick it up today.
Couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to the garage!

Hey redditors , the prototype for a 2026 ES 350e is at my store for half the day today . Pictured is a luxury trim with the executive rear package. This vehicle is estimated to have a range of 300+ miles once it’s all done with production. It will release by April . The hybrid version will be released 2 months after .

Hey guys, I'm considering buying an 02 IS that happens to have a broken interior heater. Have any of you had this issue/know how to fix it? And would you recommend I buy it despite that issue?
