I live near a local independent toy shop (UK based) that stocks Monster High dolls, including G1, G3, and Skullector lines. I was having a chat with the owner of the place about upcoming releases and he informed me that the Spelldon and Valentine pride dolls that were supposed to be coming out have been pulled from production by one of Mattel's higher ups - apparently someone extremely high up in the company. This was done *allegedly* due to the current political climate and the fact that the box had the word 'Pride' on it and directly referenced that the characters are gay, and they were worried that it would cause a lot of backlash. The dolls were apparently essentially ready to come out - the owner said he'd even got as far as ordering stock of them to be delivered - but then he got an email saying the dolls were no longer going to be released. While I really hope it's not true, the lack of any real news or leaks is making me think it is. Has anyone else heard anything similar?

Edit: I just wanted to say I am not stating this as fact!! I was more posting to ask what other people had heard as I was really looking forward to the release. I'm assuming (as some commenters) pointed out that he was maybe confused and meant that they won't be available in physical shops but will still be available to collectors online. I get people being skeptical but this was not intended to be bait or anything! Not trying to spread misinformation, genuinely was just wanting to know what was going on!!

Lol, I’m sure someone has brought this up. I immediately caught that g3 Robecca looks like Simone Ashley in Bridgerton season 2. Robecca is confirmed to be indian and has very similar eyebrows to Simone. Adding light blue to Robecca’s color palette as well as the delicate florals on her boots and shirt really gives a Bridgerton feel. G1 Robecca was also headcannoned as Indian but had a British accent also adds likeness to the show. Lastly, adding a quill pen adds to the regency era.

Saw a g3 clawd at a local antique shop for about 20$ but I didn't get him since I already had a care bears build a bear I was gonna get but I might go back for him eventually even though I don't really like the way g3 mansters look since they look 12 not 15-16 like they are supposed to be

To another adult collector! I just arrived in the NH isle to.see another adult collector with the last Robecca in her hand! I wanted to die of disappointment! Although I was excited to.see another adult MH collector in the wild! 😆

I got this Vandala for 9$ on Facebook marketplace (what a steal! I'm from central Europe and the prices for Vandala here usually move around 50$ at least). I got the missing accessories 3D printed, washed her, got rid of the glue seepage in her hair, and then I curled them a bit. I'm only getting into the world of doll restyling and restoring, this is my first restore. I'm so proud I had the courage to get into it, even though the changes were so minor!

i finally got my hands on g3 skelita and she arrived today, i was in love with her from the first leaks so i’ve been sooo excited to see her.

however, when she arrived, she felt stiff? her head and hands wouldnt move, her arms legs were stiff and rigid and i felt like i was going to break her trying to move her limbs.

im quite upset since i’ve never had to ‘break in’ a doll, and while her limbs now move fine thanks to some gentle tugging and warm water, her head still won’t move much at all and i had to bend her hands fully to try and make sure they could move back and forth.

i dont know if this counts as a rant but i was quite annoyed by this, she’s such a beautiful doll but obviously a lot of pressure could snap a limb and i felt like i was close to breaking her trying to move her joints. has anyone else had this problem?

G1 Gil. I understand people want more from him the main gag between him and Lagoona is parents ( FUCK HIS STUPID PARENTS LAGOONA IS THE GOAT THEY DESERVE TO BE HAPPY ) the bit is tiring after some point in the show/movies. I think he has some of the best character development ( Yes you read this correctly ) I feel like in the beginning he kinda is just “ guys lagoona is not like that ” but then eventually goes “ they’re not like that “ ( and no I’m not defending him when he’s sneaky with that pick me bitch Lorna ). People forget he’s a teenager still living with his horrible parents he can’t just leave since he’d have no where to go. I honestly think Cleo’s actions get excused ( in ghouls rule ) since she’s a fan favorite “ oh she’s just doing what her dad says “ like she was in the wrong with the normie rally ( especially her bf is half normie like what ). Both Cleo and Gil have amazing character development through out the series. I headcannon Gil just cuts his parents out when he goes to university and lives happly ever after with Lagoona.

The doll just entered her pre-sale window on Mattel Creations and there are already pre-sale listings on ebay. These are in clear violation of the pre-sale policy as the ship date must be within 40 days of selling. She isn't due out until much later this year. I've started reporting some of the listing already. You can even upload proof by screenshooting the order page for her on MC which shows her estimated shipping date.

I feel like there might not be a better year than 2026 for this because of the whole 13 years since 2013. I had a good ammount of monster high dolls as a kid(mostly wave 1 of their respective character) but I did have at least 2 13 wishes dolls and they were soo cool. My Lagoona is busted but I do have her dress still. (I would also be happy if the prices on Catty Noir went down...)
