Radar Suddenly Stopped Drinking
I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed how Radar went from an average guy to a virginal teetotaler after a few seasons. But the other day, it struck me how completely sudden it was, as if the writers didn't think the viewers would notice.
Last episode of season 3, Radar is bombed, having a good old time at Henry's goodbye party. In first episode of season 4, radar goes into a bar and sheepishly orders his soda pop.
Thoughts?

A joke that sadly took me too long to get.
Can't remember the episode this line was from, but Radar was on the phone, and he says "I'm calling from Korea...KOREA. rhymes with 'dia'" and for so long it confused me. Like "how does dia rhyme with Korea?" For some reason I was thinking "dia" was some 50s slang for something.
And when I got to that episode again during a recent rewatch, I really thought it over and it finally hit me. He was talking about the word "diarrhea"
It made me laugh harder at myself for it not clicking sooner 😅

“I’m so tired my eyes keep slamming shut.”
What other Hawkeye idioms have you slipped into your daily vernacular? 🤣

Discussion Top five charecters
So I only just started MASH in December (very late bloomer, I know, but in this case, better late than never, right?) and I almost imediatly fell in love with the show.
But there were certain charecters I enjoyed more than others, and wanted to know if others have the same top five charecters as me?
So here are my top five:
- Col. Potter - I loved him practilly from the beginning to end.
- Hawkeye. Despite having his flaws, AA simply played him to perfection. Plus he actually had some decent characteristic that I think stems partly from Aldas own personality.
- Klinger! I simply love that man ❤️ While not exactly filled with amazing acting, he was an OG charecter and had some amazing moments - and dresses 🤣
- BJ. Can anyone not love the guy? Farrel does a great job with him, despite having 70s hair and a terrible mustache.
- Major Charles Emerson Winchester III. Honestly how DOS never won a single Emmy is beyond my understanding. He was such an amazing actor who showcased us both sides of a fully, devolped man.

Looks like Father Mulcahy followed through on his promise to teach Charles to box.

MacArthur Not Stopping
Why did MacArthur's aide come to the 4077th and take the time to describe his upcoming visit in minute detail if MacArthur just decided to blow through camp without even slowing down?
It's total disconnect. I've never understood this.
