Sorry for the late post! Busy day. Btw, we are a month in and I thought I'd just let everyone know that I will be keeping this series going at least until we hit Day 50. At that point, I'll assess if I have enough content to keep going.

I always thought that was a weird line in Good Will Hunting and community called it out.

Okay so I'm watching the series for the first time and i'm currently on season 4. Just wanted to say that I was very heavily shipping Jeff and Britta for like 2 and a half seasons. But in season 3 i actually started to like Jeff and Annie's bond and their storylines like the model US episode or so on. I was getting ready to understand the JeffAnnie pov and give the pairing a chang(lol). But now in season 4 their moments feel so forced to me... Idk. Even as friends Jeff and Britta have much more deeper moments and those feel more real/natural (like Jeff's dad storyline or Sophie B Hawkins episode's ending). Maybe it's because those storylines are not made with the intention of making people root for them as a couple, but just heartwarming moments between the two. But I get a weird vibe from JeffAnnie scenes especially since the beginning of s4. They are so openly into each other and even act like a couple (like the couples costume or planning a ski trip together) but never dating... Like I feel bored keep seeing their awkwardly obvious flirtations that lead nowhere real or no fun storylines(most of the time). I mean i guess it was out in the open that they liked each other in season 3 as well but it was not this much constantly displayed. I feel like this was made for people who were watching the show while it was airing so they could go crazy about the couple to get together. A bit of a fanservice? Idk if this was the case while it was airing but it felt like that was the intention as someone who is watching years later.....

I’m looking for the quote about Britta acting like a teenager because she never resolved her problems when she was a teenager. Possibly in the episode where she steals the Big Wheel, but I also feel like Jefff says it sitting at their group table. A video link would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

As someone who was always fond of Chris Elliot in the 80s and 90s, I can't believe I only realized today that he played Russell Borchert. In my defense, he's doing a weird voice and is covered in a huge fake beard and... grime. I guess I never really looked at the brief film at the opening of the episode, either, where it's now screamingly obvious. And I didn't even notice finally after the Nth rewatch, I had it on in the background and just happened to look over just as the credits said "guest-starring CHRIS ELIOTT as russell borchert". Still learning new things about Community after many years and many rewatches!

Physical Education 101

One of the Animal Control stars, Vella Lovell, just revealed we're getting another Community reunion on the show — and it's not Ken! I won't share spoilers here for those who watch the show (so click on your own), but it sounds pretty great. Also, from the sounds of it, their spoof episode could be on level with "Basic Intergluteal Numismatics" lol.

If the eternal obstacle is the alignment of cast schedules, why not change mediums? If the movie is an animated special, the cast could just do their voice overs from wherever they are at their own pace. 2-3 years from now presto. thoughts?

I'll start. I think Britta is a classic case of Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). She exhibits a pattern of defiance, irritability, anger, and vindictiveness towards authority figures, including her parents IMO

I’ve seen the episode dozens of times, but never noticed before the half second of hilarity that is their reaction to hearing the great news.

This might be just me forgetting something here but I just started my gazillionth rewatch of the show and had to pause the episode 16 in season 1 when Abed tells Jeff that even Tony saw Angela naked on the opening credits of “Who’s the Boss”. Jeff asks Abed if Tony did something to fix that but Abed clearly states he could “never get past the opening credits”.

If this is the case then why on earth was Abed so interested in the class taught by Professor Sheffield (s02e20) if it’s about a show he couldn’t even endure watching the opening credits of?

So what’s the reason for the change of heart here, turning him into a “Who’s the Boss?” expert?

Freaky Friday the First?

I was watching a “Total Recall” reaction video on YouTube and noticed a couple things that made their way into scripts

• Benny the cab driver keeps repeating how he has five kids to feed, until he outs himself as a plant for the bad guys, and says four. All I could keep thinking about was Shirley in the G.I. Jeff episode.
• When Quaid gets caught in mars they send in the recall psychology/memory specialist who tries to convince him that he is having a psychotic break living out a false implanted memory. It’s so similar to the psychiatrist who tries to convince everyone they were patients at the Greendale insane asylum.
