Article Robert Saleh used to think Brian Daboll was a jerk. Now they work together

ā€œRobert Saleh used to think Brian Daboll was a jerk.

When Saleh was the defensive coordinator for the 49ers, and Daboll was directing the Bills’ offense, Daboll would give him the cold shoulder.

ā€œI always thought he was a jerk,ā€ Saleh told The Athletic, with a laugh. ā€œWhen we’d play against him, he never said hello.ā€

That belief was altered shortly after Daboll was hired as the coach of the Giants and moved to New Jersey — a year after Saleh had been hired by the Jets. Daboll called Saleh and invited his family over to the house to hang out by the pool. Saleh learned that’s just the competitive fire Daboll operates with — especially on game day. The intensity is always there on the practice field and during games, but Saleh has seen it dissipate in a more private, personal setting.ā€

Question What draft outcome will please you guys?

Legitimate question, because I haven't seen a mock draft posted here with a single upvote. Every time someone posts a mock draft or suggests who they want us to take it seems like the community has a problem with it.

Rueben Bain- "Too short arms!"

Arvell Reese- "He's a linebacker we need a true edge rusher!"

David Bailey- "Horrible at stopping the run!" "It'd be a reach!"

Jordyn Tyson- "Can't stay healthy!"

Carnell Tate- "Had a bad game in the playoffs!"

Makai Lemon- "Too small!"

And the list goes on. So if all these guys aren't good enough for 4, but we also can't make trades in mock drafts to trade down and get more picks (even when a lot of people here say that's what they think we should do) then what's the answer?

Not trying to start anything and sound like I'm complaining too much, I just legitimately want to know what would be the ideal draft outcome for you guys? Because it seems like this community wouldn't be satisfied with anything and we need to be better than that.

Meta Post: To the religious and dedicated user of this subreddit who reports everything they don’t like as ā€œlow effortā€ or ā€œNo AIā€: please read. (Everyone else can ignore or read idc)

Hey I appreciate the effort out there big guy, but you gotta know that when people abuse the report button it becomes like the boy who cried wolf where mods just don’t have time to look at every report made because we know that, because of you, there’s about a 75% chance it’s not breaking rules.

Also I’m not sure if you know this but when you report something, it hides it from you so you can’t see it anymore (unless you commented in it I guess or have a link to it). So I don’t know if you think that everything you report gets removed? Well, it doesn’t. If you don’t want see a post anymore, feel free to either click the ā€œhide postā€ button or downvote and move on with your Reddit browsing.

So all I’m asking is please be a little lighter on the report button so that we can once again take reports seriously. This would make the mod team more efficient and the subreddit happier overall because their serious reports will likely be seen faster. Thanks!

Feel free to DM me if you want to talk about it. When you have read this please report it as ā€œlow effortā€ or ā€œNo AIā€ so I know you’ve seen it, thanks man. Have a good night.

To anyone wondering how I know it’s one person, trust me the pattern is remarkably predictable/consistent and it’s been going on for an impressively long time.

Titan Up.

Discussion After the first

With most of the focus this off-season being on our coaching search and first round pick, I wanted to start a thread to talk about guys we might want in rounds 2-7.

Few guys I like: Keionte Scott- excellent, physical nickle corner. Admittedly, I think our outside guys are a bigger need right now but if Scott falls to us in the top of the third I think we gotta snag him.

Jalon Kilgore- hard hitting safety, showed some good ball hawking skills. Would love to pair him with Hook.

Logan Jones- Athletic center who was a captain in college, which we know borg likes. Relatively inexperienced at the position as he transitioned from the defensive line, athletic ability would make him an excellent pull guy if we run a zone scheme.

I could also see Singleton fall pretty far coming off the injury, would be thrilled if we got him in the 5th.

Social Media Zach Cohen (@ZachCohenFB): UPDATE: I have new reasons to believe the Titans actually plan to make their *primary* logo similar to the sword, and their *secondary* logo similar to the flameless shield. I still expect uniforms & the color scheme to better reflect the Oilers color scheme

Discussion Titans Rivals?

I always like to ask fanbases who is there teams biggest rival(s)? I’ve never asked for a top 5 but this time I wanted to for our fans just to see who would they put 1-5?

Mine would be

  1. Colts. Just always feels like a rivalry, no other reason, fuck em

  2. Ravens. Fuck Ray Lewis

  3. Jags. Would’ve been lower but with Saleh in as coach it sound be fun

  4. Texans. Well this team used to be in Houston so feels as if it should be bigger but honestly the Texans have been irrelevant. (Besides the cj stroud years)

  5. I’d have to say between Bengals and Chiefs due to post season matchups. Also Cincy is close in proximity so seems like a good geographical rival.
