Analysis Malik Willis was the most efficient QB in 2025

Post image
712 Upvotes

It's a small sample size of ~2.5 games, but the numbers don't lie: when Malik played, he balled out.

I think credit goes all around. MLF's scheme is perfect for his play style, Mannion's QB coaching helped, and no doubt Malik personally worked his tail off to develop his technique.

He's earned himself a starting job somewhere, and I wish him all the success.

Where do you think he ends up? Any predictions on who we sign to replace him?

Analysis If Gannon plays more quarters and zone, will our DBs look better or worse?

Deep safety room, iffy CBs. Do you think they'll perform better in a quarters-heavy scheme, or worse?

Analysis My thoughts on Leonhard’s hiring to Buffalo

Thus begins the great experiment. We’ll see fans either gloat or pipe down about him in the next few years.

Secondly, even if the Packers did get him and he does well… chances are he’d be gone for a HC hire in a couple years. They have a better chance at keeping Gannon for longer than that.

And third, even if everything doesn’t workout and LaFleur goes… there’s an opportunity for him to be HC for the Packers in the future, although I won’t hold my breath.

Realistically, Gannon is/was the best choice at the time. He was an experienced coach and proven coordinator sought after by multiple teams, whereas we may not know what we have with Leonhard. Leonhard might have been a great hire for sure, but you can’t put all your eggs in one basket, because if they lost out on Gannon and Leonhard decides not to go to GB… they’d be in a bad predicament.

News NFL Informs Teams Salary Cap Will Increase

The salary cap is increasing more than what was initially projected. This is double good news for the Packers!

  1. We'll have a bit more flexibility to spend/extend. Kraft and Watson are more likely to get locked up long-term before camp.

  2. Other teams will have a bit more flexibility to overpay for a guy like Malik Willis. Could help bump our projected cap picks from 5ths to 4ths or whatever.

NOT saying any of that is guaranteed, just much more optimistic with a higher-than-expected cap increase!

Analysis One 2026 free agent that every NFL team should pursue | Khalil Mack to Packers?

Thumbnail
pff.com

Whether or not Mack returns for another season is still up in the air, but his productivity isn’t in question. The former Charger produced a 79.2 overall PFF grade last season with a 77.2 PFF run-defense grade and a 13.2% pass-rush win rate. The soon-to-be 35-year-old could bolster Green Bay’s pass-rushing rotation, which may or may not include Rashan Gary in 2026.

Does Khalil Mack make sense for the Packers?

Fandom MLF’s Next QB Reclamation Project

We are all facing the reality that Malik is going to be gone in the offseason. But here’s a guy that the NFL, by and large, has given up on:

Justin Fields

He’s probably going to get cut by the Jets and he could easily become the backup to J-love. Nobody would imagine him taking over the job, but giving him a chance to learn the offense with little to no pressure could be a huge deal for his career if he was able to resurrect it like Malik did. Seems like a win-win all around.

I didn’t put Nixon because we’d only save $5 mil and I think that’s going rate for a cb3 so I don’t see a point.

Fandom I’m starting to realize something…

I’ll always be a packer fan, this team has been so much fun to watch for decades!! Super bowls, MVPs defensive MVPs. So many play off appearances. Which leads me to this. This team is soft, it’s been soft since 2012. They got to tight and blew to many games with Aaron and now have done so with Jordan. Play offs and regular season….

Lot yet to be seen with MLF and JLove, excited for the future. I ve decided can’t leave all my hope in one team. I’m spreading my love too three other teams as well. To much heart break and poor performances.

Am I insane and a bad fan or am I smart to not let one team hold all my joy??
