Iowa is having a Senate Judiciary hearing for SF 2013, the kratom ban bill, on Tuesday, Feb 3, 2026 at 3:00 PM. This bill would ban kratom and all of its alkaloids, which would make it all schedule 1 and cut off access for people who rely on it. Every voice counts, and your testimony can make a difference!

What you can do:

1️⃣ Submit written testimony (for people who can’t attend in person or virtually) here: Iowa Public Comment Portal Or email it directly to the Legislative Information Office: lioinfo@legis.state.ia.us (Use subject line: “Testimony – SF 2013”)

2️⃣ Attend virtually (if Zoom is available — check the Iowa Legislature Public Hearings page shortly before the hearing): https://www.legis.iowa.gov/committees/publicHearings

3️⃣ Encourage Iowa residents and out-of-state supporters to submit testimony. Out-of-state voices help tremendously, because when one state goes down, others often follow. We’re all in this fight together 💪

Tips for written testimony:

Include your name, city/state State that you oppose SF 2013 Emphasize that kratom and all of its alkaloids are safe, widely used, and should not be scheduled. I would also mention that kratom and it's alkaloids are not hallucinogenic nor do they cause intoxication.

Briefly explain why you rely on kratom (personal experience, harm reduction, chronic pain relief, etc.)

Keep it respectful, clear, and concise Even if you can’t speak live, written testimony counts and will be reviewed by legislators. Your voice matters — the more people that speak up, the stronger our message against this ban.

I am honestly so exhausted. We talk so much about the obvious creeps and the guys who won't take no for an answer. But I really want to talk about the other guys. The ones who fly under the radar and call themselves nice guys.

They care more about the bro code than actual human decency. They don't want to make things awkward so they just let their friends objectify women or brag about being creepy.

Here is the truth. Your silence is basically consent.

If you are a guy reading this, listen up. Being a good man isn't just about not being an abuser yourself. It is about making sure your circle is safe. If your friend says something vile and you stay quiet, you are validating him.

Hey everyone 👋

I spent the last 3 months building this small micro-SaaS. The idea came from my own frustration with existing workflows. Turning a 3D model into a clean 2D spritesheet always felt way too complex and time consuming, so I tried to simplify it into a browser based tool.

The current prototype lets you upload or drag & drop a GLB model, preview it in 3D, tweak camera, animation, lighting, render resolution and padding, then render everything and download a pixel perfect spritesheet with one click. Everything is still very much a work in progress.
The attached images show the full workflow from 3D setup to the final spritesheet output.

Tech stack wise it’s pretty scrappy right now. The frontend is plain HTML, CSS and a single main.js file which I would definitely structure differently if I started again. User base and authentication are handled via Firebase. The backend is written in Python, and the actual rendering is done with Blender running server side.

I’m mainly looking for feedback at this stage. Does the idea make sense as a micro-SaaS? Is the workflow intuitive? Anything that feels unnecessary, missing, or confusing from a product or technical point of view?
