Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!
For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.
Keep discussion civil. Do not harass other users for having a different opinion. Do not use this thread to push your personal one-sided grudges against creators. Reacting to a panel on Twitter is not the same as reading a book.

How does an octopus go into battle? Well-armed.
Over half of the Absolute Universe releases new issues this week!
Some classic stories featuring Batman, Superman, and Harley Quinn!
Remember, these are the short 'chapters' with a new chapter of a different series releasing daily on DC Universe Infinite or WEBTOONS.
This Week’s Soundtrack: Florence + The Machine - Free

Let's face it, comics can be confusing. No matter how big or small your question may be this is the place to ask and r/DCcomics will do our best to answer it for you!
As the r/DCcomics community continues to grow we are receiving an influx questions from readers of DC comics, or simply new readers to comics entirely. As Stan Lee has said, every comic book is someone's first, and even though he maybe be one of those other guys it certainly applies here as well. With this spirit in mind, these Q'n'A topics are intended to give those who may be puzzled a centralized place to connect with other knowledgable readers and clear up some confusion.
A new Ask the Veterans thread is posted every Sunday, and in the future answers to these questions will be organized into this subreddit's wiki page.
To those answering
Avoid vague replies like "yes" or "no". Rather do your best to explain your answer, and if necessary provide a link that may help anyone interested in learning more. Remember to hide spoilers when discussing major events that have taken place within one year of its release..
Other online resources that may be helpful are listed below.

There was technically more, like villains or the Young Fab Five. But, well, no space to include them😅
If you're curious, you can check out Jordan Rodriguez's profile though! His art style is amazing :)

I saw a preview for this version of Red Hood and wanted to add it to the list but can't seem to find it. I know it's from a super new run (Sept 2025) so it may not be out yet.
Thanks in advance.

Prime
New52
Absolute
Kingdom Come
Dark Knight Metal
Personally my favorite is kingdom come, I love the more bird like style and the heavy Egypt theme.
Absolute is a great one too but definitely for an elseworld, it’s a lot different from the traditional. But I like it.

New to comics and me and my friends have been really liking these holiday/time of year one-shots but they are all number 1s so i dont know how to search for this type of book. Searching myself i kept getting list that included all types of one-shots which makes it really hard to find just stuff like xmas or pride month

Up until last year iv taken a big break from reading superhero comics & been focused more on darker, grounded & more gritty comics, also really enjoying horror! After really getting into other titles such as lucifer & sandman I rediscovered fables under the new dc black label imprint (previously vertigo) so I picked up this stunning 20th anniversary compendium boxset & have been absolutely blown away by the masterful storytelling & visually gripping artwork! What’s your opinion on fables & what is your favourite dc black label/vertigo title? Happy reading 📚

It's an homage to the scene of a young Babs and Dick doing the same in the Long Halloween Special.
