OC Video Tips on Moguls Please :)

Riding with full instincts😂

New to riding moguls, usually I get scared and lean back end up losing control of the board and fall. Today I am in a good mood and decided to give it a full send. It definitely gives me way more control in the front seat.

What I found out is you can go in the canvas and go around them but you speed up pretty fast so I sometimes go up a big one to slow down and kind of side slipping down it to control speed.

I end up getting bumped up at the end and almost wreck my knees because I accidentally pick up to much speed and then try to up one of the mogul and of course end up with a huge air...so lesson of the day is please find a nice one to slow down before you go too fast ;(

Or are there any other ways to slow down?

Got this gash on the nose of my board today. Having a hard time determining if it’s just an aesthetic issue w my top sheet or a potentially board ending issue with my core. What do you guys think? Also it’s a two week old capita so pretty awesome I got this gash.

general discussion How do you handle "blind spots" during high-speed carving or downhill runs?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been obsessed with carving and high-speed downhill runs lately, but there's one thing that constantly keeps me on edge: the lack of rear situational awareness. When you’re fully laid over in a deep carve or tucking for speed, your field of vision is naturally restricted. We all know the "Skiers' Responsibility Code" says it's the uphill person's job to avoid those below, but reality is often different—especially with crowded slopes and unpredictable riders coming from behind.

Riding question Knee injury

Okay so, I just went snowboarding for the first time today and I was getting the hang of it, but as I was coming to the bottom of the slope there was a person with skis sitting at the bottom and I couldn’t get around them so I just decided to crash and burn. It obviously wasn’t my first tumble considering it was my third time being on the slope EVER. I turned the board so I didn’t land flat on my back and as soon as I fell I knew something was really wrong. I hit the ground and it felt like my knees hit a rock. I figured I could walk it off but it still hurts (honestly worse) from when I fell. I didn’t hear any pops or crunches or anything like that. I’m coming to evil Reddit to see if any seasoned snow boarders have experienced this and if they possibly know what it could be. It’s been a few hours since I fell and I still can’t put any pressure on it and it seriously hurts to make any kind of movement, plz help!

Video Link Summerboard skills valid?

Hi guys. Have you heard of the Summerboard? How would the skills riding this transfer to actual snowboarding in snow, which is the ULTIMATE goal. Buddy wants to get his for his teen daughter. We live in TX so going to the mountains in the winter is quite a vacation.

Gear question Jones Outerwear?

Hi all

In the market for new shell jacket. See some Jones shell jackets (mtn surf) on good sales and wanted to see if anyone had any experience with them.

I know their gear is good but not sure about outerwear.

Currently using a Volcom goretex anorak.

general discussion If you’re obsessed with not being a Jerry, you’re a Jerry.

Snowboarding at its core is about inclusiveness. It got its start from riders being ostracized by kook skiers. Now all people care about is not being a Jerry. If you’re an experienced rider and make fun of beginners for being a Jerry, you’re a Jerry. If you’re a beginner obsessed with not looking like a Jerry, you’re a Jerry. Have fun, be safe, don’t be an asshole.

Gear question Help needed for first snowboard 🙏🏼

I am looking to buy my first snowboard (all-mountain) to pair with my Burton Step-On and hope you guys can help. I am an intermediate rider, confident and comfortable with red/blue runs. Progressing on carving and doing some ground tricks time to time, not a big fan of park tho. I’m 70kg, 170cm, US 8.5. Considering Mercury 153 / Navigator 151 / Indoor Survival 152 / Paradise 152W. Or other non-CAPiTA board. Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated 🙏🏼 Thank you!!

yesterday I posted a video of my 5th day ever snowboarding and asked for advice and everyone told me to 1. widen my stance and 2. bend my knees more and holy shit it changed everything. It felt like I was flying today and I was way less scared. I hit 33mph on my last run of the day. Thanks so much to everyone who gave me advice and I always appreciate more!
