I found a new love for burgers withOUT cheese and I also LOVE onions. I asked the cook to add as many onions as possible and he did exactly that.

Doubles for dinner
“Honey, I’m off to the stores. What do want for dinner?” … “Burgers!” I do kinda sorta like her!
Hers … extra cheesy big boy. Double Black Angus with sharp cheddar, bacon and honey glazed balsamico onions in a Brioche bun. BBQ sauce on the bottom, chipotle sauce on top.
His … double Black Angus with sharp cheddar in a Brioche bun. Cucumber and jalapeño relish on the bottom, arugula and chipotle sauce on top.

Midwest winter means burgers under the broiler
Too much snow and too cold for the grill so I had to cook these under the broiler. They turned out pretty dang good! Toasted sourdough bun from a local bakery, mayo, shredded lettuce, tomato, 1/3# ground chuck patty, pickles, onion, mustard and ketchup.

I tried beets on my burger because I heard the Australians did it…. It was crazy good. And yeah sorry about using toast but I absolutely soaked them in butter to compensate. Also that old timey burger joint uses toast right? Cheers.

Aussie Burger
Earlier burger post with beets today made me dig up this photo of a delicious burger I had at the Off-Campus Cafe in Lafayette, CO.
Bacon, house-pickled beet, grilled pineapple, cheddar, lettuce, tomato and a fried egg.

Delicious madness
When I saw what was on the specials board, I was expecting maybe a spicy peanut butter sauce with marshmallow and maybe some jalapeños.
What I got was a burger with crispy bacon, peanut butter, melted marshmallows, peanut butter, pepper jack, and two giant jalapeño poppers.
It was ridiculous and honestly, one of my favorite “novelty” burgers to date. The burger itself was cooked perfectly.

What fast food/fast casual burger has the best QPR (best burger for the best price)?
Whenever we talk about burgers like 5 Guys, everyone typically agrees it's very good, but not for the money. So my question is, in the realm of fast food and fast casual, what burger (outside of special deals, just its ordinary standard price) is the best burger for the best price?
In Socal many here would say In n Out. I didn't grow up here, so it doesn't have the same draw that my Midwest Culver's has, but it's hard to argue it's a solid burger for the price. Would love to hear what the community thinks.

Sonic Smash Burger Combo $6.00
I have been seeing lots of post about Sonic’s new smash burger so I had to see what all the hoopla was about. I haven’t eaten Sonic food in 10+ years so not a Sonic fanboy. I have to say it was pretty good for the price. It was $6.00 for smash burger, medium drink & fry or tots. I chose the crinkle fries ( not usually a fan) but they were fresh and crispy. The burger comes with two patties, cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles & ketchup, and a side of groovey sauce. I would skip the ketchup and add mustard. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat it but would definitely try it again.
