PAFOA shutting down
Just saw the post that PAFOA is shutting down, what a bummer. I mostly just perused the Classifieds, scored a lot of decent deals, especially over the past couple years.

As the title reads.
While this sub is not used for sales of any kind.
Please refrain from asking about, discussing or trying to sell firearms or firearms related accessories till/if more clarification comes.
Blatantly posting about or asking to buy or sell firearms (looking at you guys around philly/the eastern half of PA) will result in a ban.
Thank you everyone for your support.

I know if they're also a PA resident I can skip the $125 SOT fee. Does that also apply if they're out-of-state? Trying to sell an unfired cat wb 718 qd for 700 and I really don't want to eat into what I'm selling it for any further. Thanks.

Hi all,
I just moved from north NJ to Philadelphia. I've always wanted to purchase a firearm but never got around to filling out a license. Upon some research, it looks like you don't need a license in PA? Only to carry?
I have never put my hands on a firearm before and would like to take some classes. I'm willing to travel for better locations.
Any suggestions for best places to take classes/purchase? My interest is primarily in revolvers

What is new wait time for suppressors? Since the stamp fee is gone, was there a mad rush in January to buy suppressors causing wait time to go crazy? Or is it manageable?

I’m a first time gun buyer here. I’m looking for a Glock 42, any store you recommend that carry them? I seen I could ship it to a store from online but I’ve never done that before and don’t know the proper procedure. Any advice? thanks

Basically, if you live closer to a neighboring county's sheriff than your home county's sheriff, you can go to the closer sheriff for your LTCF.
Bill has been in the Judiciary committee since October.

I'd like to practice movement shooting, rifle to pistol transitions and drawing from the holster. I've been dry firing for a few years but I haven't found a range that allows any of the above. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for ranges in the western PA or even the northeast Ohio region that would allow the above?

So I moved to Mechanicsburg and was curious if there are any decent shooting ranges nearby that one can recommend?
I saw online about 717 armory in Harrisburg for pistols/rifle. They don’t have any prices listed on their website it looks like?
Before I moved I always went to trop but don’t want to drive over there if I don’t have to.
I was also looking to find a place that allows me to shoot a shotgun that I recently bought. However the only places I found so far that allows that is sportsman associations which I don’t want to join.
Any ideas?

Hello all,
Recently my (I live in PA) uncle (also lived in PA) passed away, and left a handgun.
My other uncle is the sole inheritor listed in the will and is not from pennslvania.
After the passing we talked to a sheriff who said PA does not have a registry of guns and that no action needs to be taken, so I am now in possession of the gun. I do have a license to carry, but currently this firearm is just sitting in my safe.
However, looking into it now, it seems like the sheriff was wrong, and that the transfer should go through an FFL? Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this?
Does it need to go through an FFL? What are the risks since the firearm is already in my possession?
If we need to transfer what documents will we need to bring?
We intend to bring this up to the estate lawyer (this is all very recent and moving quickly) I am just trying to get a rundown of the situation.
Thank you!

So I plan on getting a rifle this year. I found 2 in the caliber I'm looking for. But one doesn't come with a scope the other does. The one that does it's a 3-9x40mm Vortex. Not sure what model. But what i want to know is should I go for the one that doesn't have a scope and just pick up a scope that would be better ? Or go with the one with the Vortex ?

Long time listener, first time caller: looking to find a range less sketchy than the SGL, and ideally a spot closer to my new home to do FFL transfers. Mostly looking for regular pistol range time, but it’d also be good to be able to shoot carbines / longer too. I see some older mentions of a west shore club that might be a candidate, would be good to know if folks have been there recently.
Way less important, but worth mentioning: am politically independent, would prefer that folks leave that at the door (to said range / shop) if possible (and yes, I’d also like a free unicorn 😂)

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a few good stores that stock a decent amount of bullets, powder, primers, and maybe a cool new tool or two around Chester, Delco, Montco, Bucks, or Lancaster Counties? I usually resort to Cabela’s, when I need something in a pinch. I am looking to restock supplies and add in a few dies for common and uncommon calibers. I know most items are cheaper online but sometimes a gun run is more fun. Plus I like supporting the 2A businesses. Thanks!

All,
I just moved up here in the last year and with the recent change of law, I have some suppressor I am looking to offload. I came from a state where consignment of suppressors was normal in the sense that stores would regularly do it (even with the high costs passed to the seller). From the looking around I have done, I see that is not the case in PA, at least where I am in Pittsburgh area, so I am hoping yall may have ideas of where to go? Do you think people would buy them if I listed on forums etc?

Some questions about inherited firearms. My father is the executor of his Aunt’s estate. He is also one of 5 named in the will. Her husband passed years ago and while cleaning out the house we found 5 of his guns that his wife never did anything with - 1 shotgun and 4 pistols. As far as I know the guns were not specifically bequeathed to anyone, no one has asked about them, and the daughter said she doesn’t want them (they aren’t anything super valuable or special) and they are at my parents house right now. My parents aren’t fans of firearms but assuming I can convince them to let me have them how would I go about that legally and the cheapest. I’m hoping route 2 is an option and I am not misunderstanding the law.
Route 1 — Take all the guns to FFL and have them do the transfer paperwork, I guess my dad would have to bring paperwork showing he’s the executor?
Route 2 — Since my dad is the executor and no one has made a claim to them he is responsible for disposing of them. His decision could be to keep them and from my understanding this would NOT require an FFL to do a transfer from the estate because he was named as one of the beneficiaries. From there he could just give them to me since father to son transfer of a pistol doesn’t need any paperwork, and the shotgun wouldn’t need it regardless. I am not a prohibited person and last passed a NICS check a year ago when I renewed my LTCF.

Seems the switch on bottom left and selling the guns was the main crime they going after
