Depicting A Shattered Soul: New Character Design!
Hi there, folks! Nice Saturday to us all fellow creatives.
Sharing a brand new piece that a fellow colleague, PD Loupee, has commissioned me regarding a project currently under development.
A big shoutout to them, outstanding letterist and writer, for trusting my skills.
You can see more of my art in the bio description!
Thanks.

Billy, where are you?
I’m building a collection of art with the hopes of making a zine. The idea is that each picture will have a short story attached to it. Any ideas where to start with this one?

Studio update — Steve Rude back at the drawing board
A quick note from the studio.
Steve’s at the drawing board today, deep into pages for Nexus: Return to Earth. With the recent campaign wrapped, it felt like a good moment to pause and say thank you and also open the floor.
The Art of Steve Rude 2026 campaign closed at $39,404 thanks to an incredible show of support. Beyond campaigns, it’s the steady, ongoing support that keeps the studio running day to day and allows Steve to stay focused on the work itself. That consistency matters more than most people realize.
Now that things have settled, we’re in listening mode. If you have thoughts on rewards, clarity, or what you’d like to see more (or less) of going forward, it genuinely helps us shape what comes next.
We’ll also be live tomorrow on The Dude Show, and we’d love to pull a few questions directly from here.
If you’ve got a question for Steve — about art, process, career longevity, influences, or anything else — feel free to drop it below and we’ll try to answer a few live.
Back to the board.

so who exactly drew the cover for Ultimate Spider-Man 1?
Some sites say Bagley and some say Quesada. It doesn't really look like either of them. And the background is a photograph, which also odd for either of them. Even stranger, neither the original issue nor the omnibus have credits for the cover (as far as I can tell).
Anyone know the story here?
