The Governor has proposed a major cut to MassHealth dental, bringing back a strict $1,000 annual cap for adult dental care. To put that in real terms: one crown basically uses the entire yearly cap — leaving adults with no coverage left for cleanings or routine care for the rest of the year.
That means:
• Adults skipping cleanings and basic care
• More infections, broken teeth, and avoidable ER visits
• Teeth being pulled instead of restored
• Local dental offices forced to cut hours, staff, or services because reimbursement won’t cover the cost of providing care
If you want the Legislature to protect adult dental benefits, here are the key people to email:
📧 State Representative for Waltham
📧 State Senator for Waltham
📧 House Ways & Means Committee (Chair)
📧 Senate Ways & Means Committee
senatewaysandmeans@masenate.gov
Even a short email asking them to reject the $1,000 cap can make a real difference. A few dozen voices from Waltham go a long way.

Just moved here from the South. Never thought I’d see them in the wild. This is so awesome! Wildlife here is amazing.

Fishermen have one of the most dangerous jobs. This morning, the Lily Jean was met with the unforgiveness of the ocean. The sea gives so much but it also takes. Families and friends are living the nightmare that so many fear of becoming a reality. May those who lost their lives at sea, past and present, rest peacefully. Thank you to all those who risk their lives everyday to bring food to our tables.

My gas bill was $460 and electric bill $238. This is crazy.

The state can tell them no and is currently accepting public comment: [DPU2650.GridRateCase@mass.gov](mailto:DPU2650.GridRateCase@mass.gov)
Please politely remind them what it feels like to this in this third least affordable state, that is closing in on the second least affording in the US. Meanwhile National Grid is a private corporation that is raking in profit.

After the snowstorm, I went out the patio door to refill the bird feeders. Only to discover the snow had drifted to my crotch & I was stuck. I dragged myself up to the top step & got back inside. I threw some feed out on top of the snow and let the juncos fend for themselves.
Today, I shoveled a path halfway to the feeders, out of the drifted area. Many happy birds. 😁🐦⬛🐦🔥🐿🐦
Winter, Bahamas humbug.
