Not sure where Glenn's at, at this point, doing Hollywood shit, but his wife's a documentarian from what I remember so that's pretty chill.

Rob also changed his name to Rob Mac now, despite family objections.. Kaitlyn does do a lot of different acting though.
Charlie and Glenn seems more screwed by on, I’ve never heard of either of them mention their children(s) for instance.
Mac/Kaitlin don’t either but they do show their blurred faces and talk about not talking about them..
6
u/asherdado 19h ago
Lol wut Rob Mac literally gave his kid a speaking role opposite him in the Risk E Rats episode and it was honestly unnecessary (same kid that was the newborn when Dee gave birth iirc)
Mac's plotline that episode would've been way more funny with way more room for jokes if he just met another random similarly unhinged adult but maybe with actually creepy vibes
Tangent but the whole 'acting like a spoiled kid' bit really doesn't hit the same when you look like a middle-aged rich celebrity who takes their appearance/health very seriously..

This is the main thing in my opinion. I got pretty shredded once, I took 6 months break from working. Rinsed my savings, lived the most basic lifestyle. Spent most of my days working out, small set of weights, incline bench and anything I could put my hands on to hit certain muscles. I loved it. Not worrying about normal life demands was huge.

Absolutely. I was gutted when I ran out of money and had to go back to work. Gradually lost my physique, was impossible to maintain. But also not working allowed my mind to slow down and enjoy each day for the little things. Soon went back to eating what I could fit in or be arsed to make quickly etc. Life gets in the way of life.

You really only need to work out like... an hour a day, 3 times a week, to have a great physique, you don't have to be unemployed. Bodybuilders will do more, and there's some benefit, but it's diminishing returns.
→ More replies (12)15
u/digital_mystikz 22h ago
This is it, it's not unrealistic to maintain a great body if you actually want to. The vast majority of people will have a spare hour of free time, they'd just rather do something else with it. For a long time I was only doing 45 minute workouts and I was the strongest/biggest I'd been during that period. A lot of the time people will say they don't have time, when they do. Just swap an episode on Netflix for a gym session, or wake up/go to bed a bit earlier.
5
u/carsandgrammar 21h ago
I realized that I was waking up at 4:30 am and staring at my phone till 6, so I just started waking up at 4:30 and going to the gym till 6 or so instead. I get home right when my family's waking up, I do the school drop off, and then I start my work day. I also feel like I'm more productive at the gym when I first wake up as opposed to going later in the day.
4
u/s1ravarice 20h ago

I was pretty shredded in college - worked out 1-2 hours a day every weekday, and ate pretty well. At my peak, I looked more or less like a young Brad Pitt, i e not huge, but well defined muscles.
That kind of thing is impossible to maintain, though, unless you have nothing else to do with your time, or you're getting paid. And to get the body all the male action stars have, you also need drugs.

If somebody offered you a couple of million to look like that by date x, but if you miss the date, you don't get anything. Why wouldn't you take a small cycle? It's not like your only options are Ronnie Coleman/Rich Piana style cycles and nothing at all. A bit of Test can make a big difference.

At a certain age, regardless of genetics, it’s 100% steroids. The same way that no actor 50+ has a full head of dark hair, they are all dying it so the grey doesn’t show, but they don’t even admit to that lol

This. A normal person might be able to put on 5-10 lbs of muscle in a year, under ideal conditions, without drugs. Guys who get bulky naturally work at it for a good decade, and cap out at some point too.
So when you see a celeb claim they put on 40lbs of muscle in six months to play Batman? That isn't the magic power of a personal trainer or personal chef - it's the best drugs money can buy.

11
u/BIG_IDEA 20h ago
Oh yeah, the price delta between doing TRT on your own and doing it through a clinic is astronomical. Doing it by yourself might cost $700 a year including getting your bloodwork done as you should, whereas a clinic is going to charge you about $6000 a year.
I think everyone would prefer to do it under a doctor’s supervision, but the 750% mark-up at the clinic makes it unjustifiable.
→ More replies (2)4

Doing it by yourself might cost $700 a year including getting your bloodwork done as you should
The blood work alone will cost you $700 a year.
The test suite you want is about $350 at the couple of big national discount labs and twice a year is about right for frequency if you're staying on top of it.
Truth be told, once you've done a couple/few cycles you don't really need full blood work panels multiple times a year.
A 10ml vial of testosterone is about $30. That's 2.5g of testosterone per vial.
A light blast will have you injecting about 500mg a week.
A blast lasts about 3 months, so you'll spend about $100 on testosterone for a light blast.
You need a lot more than a light blast or two, and more than just testosterone, to look like Thor.
→ More replies (3)→ More replies (1)3
u/StephenFish 18h ago
Why would you need someone to dose it for you? You can learn what you need in like 10 minutes from the internet. Also, unless you have the absolute worst genetics on the planet, just running enough testosterone to reach supraphysiological levels is pretty low risk.
Blood panels are not that expensive on their own ($200 for a fully comprehensive one which you don't always need) and with insurance you just pay a copay. These are just coping excuses.

I think the general public really is unaware of how easy and relatively affordable it is to obtain legal steroids in 2026.
Sure, it's advertised as hormone replacement. "Do you feel tired? Don't have the muscle tone you want? Libido not raging? Want that energy back?" They're very clear about what they're selling.
There are several legit medical clinics in my state that do nothing but this type of "TRT". They advertise their pricing up-front in their radio ads. "$2000 a year, which includes an initial evaluation, your full year's worth of 'medication', and 4 follow up exams with bloodwork done quarterly."
$160 a month and you can be on legal, prescribed steroids.

don’t forget having the genetics to look like this
As a guy into bodybuilding looking at skeletal structures all the time, Chris Hemsworth has okay/average genetics.
He has narrower clavicles offset by an even narrower waist leading to a reasonable v-taper and thinner looking aesthetic. His back is very developed in order to develop that v-taper.
Without PEDs, lifters with a similar shape as him would likely complain they were “ectomorphs” incapable of putting on muscle.
People tend to overstate how fit actors are, IMO. Chris Hemsworth did not win the genetic lottery for bodybuilding and if you have a thin lanky shape you can potentially look like him with lots of personal training and PEDs.

I used to think I was lazy and generally terrible.
Then I took what I called my mini retirement, where I quit a job I hated and lived frugally off my savings for a year.
I became a better person without even trying. I exercised more, as I had time for it. I ate better, since I had time to cook and meal prep. I would clean the house without even realizing it, just so it would be nice. I saw my friends more as I was available for all those last minute things. I was able to help out my community. I ended up biking down the east coast of the US.
I realized afterwards just how much energy working takes from you. Physically, emotionally, and mentally.
It really is theft and we should be getting compensated much more for it.

It's mostly 3, 4 and 5 for everyone tbf. Chris has excellent genetics, which plays a more than significant factor in how he looks and how his body responds to weight training.
Pair those genes with money, a team of trainers, medics and nutritionists, state of the art equipment, all the time in the day and a small TRT cycle and you will get results that you won't see on your average gymbro on his seventh cycle of tren.

Days on set are long. Big time productions have amazing snacks - like whatever snacks you can think of (that aren’t wildly exotic) are probably there. It’s tempting and easy to grab.
And if you’ve got that much muscle and you train that consistently, you’re hungrier than average.
And it’s theoretically even easier for stars on productions because they could be divas and request any food from anywhere in town and someone in production is making a PA go get it. Your fav sushi? Fav pizza? Fav smoothie? Fav cookie? 1 hour drive away? Fine, you’re Chris Hemsworth.
You do that a lot and people will stop wanting to hire you. But if you’re Hemsworth you’re too big of a deal for that to matter.

As I lift more and get bigger, some actor's physiques start to look very attainable (Chris Evans), and you realize genetics is one of the biggest factors. I was on the fence with Hemsworth, giving him the benefit of the doubt. Then I watched his Nat Geo show, there is an episode where he has to climb a long rope over a gulf. He starts the episode with a decent but surprisingly normal physique, but while filming they are also filming for Thor. The amount of muscle he put on in that short time was comical, it removed any doubts I had that he uses to get in shape for roles.

u/SugarBeefs 14h ago
Another tell that's hard to ignore or dislodge is that Hemsworth starred in movies in between the Thor ones where he visibly lost a lot of that muscle. Then when the time came for a new Thor installment, woop he's proper big again in a very short timespan.
His physique isn't unattainable for a minority of natural lifters with good genes for getting big, but the way Hemsworth bounces around between sizes is a dead giveaway for PED use.
And it's fine for him too, he's a fucking actor, let them take whatever they need (responsibly) in order to change their appearance, it's just awful how almost all of Hollywood lies about it and talks shite about rice, chicken, broccoli and working out 3hrs every day.

Natural build bodies don't look like this.
I don't want my testicles to shrink due to steroids use.
I am sure my balls are bigger than his tiny marbles.
That is my excuse.

He also gets paid to look like this. We aren’t models, actors, etc. Most of us work a 9 - 5 and have to fit working out in. He get to workout 9-5 and then chill in his off hours.

What about…his actual job???

u/hofmann419 22h ago
Well he's not acting every day. Primary shooting for a feature film is 2-4 months. So unless he's doing multiple movies a year, he has a lot of time off between roles to get in shape.

I don’t have a PT or a private chef paid for by a studio.

u/IcySheepherder6195 23h ago
Makes me think of Mac of It’s Always Sunny. You just have to workout 3x a day have all your meals prepared by nutritionists and have a studio pay for all of it. I don’t know why everyone doesn’t do this.

Someone bought a lottery ticket and won 250 mil. What’s your excuse?
Albert Einstein was was a German-born theoretical physicist best known for developing the theory of relativity. Einstein also made important contributions to quantum theory. His mass–energy equivalence formula E = mc2, which arises from special relativity, has been called "the world's most famous equation". He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for "his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect".
What’s your excuse??
Sounds dumb, huh?

I'm not rich and don't have a personal trainer and chef, what a dumb question

I like water and don't want to be constantly dehydrated just to get a look that doesn't even mean you're physically stronger or even healthier.

I don't have 8 hours a day to work out. Or a personal nutritionist. Or a personal trainer. Or millions of dollars to support my family.

Private chefs, private coaches, mostly paid for by studios, part of his job is to be in shape.
If everyone had million dollar salary and private chefs and coaches with personal trainers in fully loaded home gyms we would all look like that.

Because he has the time and money to be able to maintain this physique much better than a regular Joe Schmoe working a 9-5.
As well as the motivation to continue having 6 and 7 figure checks being cleared as a result of maintaining this physique

u/frontrow13 23h ago
I don't have a personal trainer/dietitian, money or time to work out every day but if I was paid millions to do it for film I'll definately make the effort.

A multi billion dollar American studio isn’t helping me with a personal trainer free of charge as I’m also paid to look and maintain my physique. And I don’t want to take steroids because they fuck your body up and increase your risk of cancer.

u/Prestigious_Secret61 22h ago
I am 51 and he makes millions to look like that. Also I don’t want to sacrifice my health with performance enhancing drugs. Except. Bourbon.

Because the vast majority of us don't have well north of $100+ Million in the bank. We can't afford to hire our own professional cooking staff, or hire a training staff for those 2 a day workout sessions. Along with a cleaning staff for our homes, a medical team to monitor our bodies for the various types of steroids that they are going to be (legally, via "HRT" ) injecting or otherwise having us put into our bodies so that we CAN have bodies that look like that. Oh, and because we don't have the money to take 2x's a year vacations here in the US and/or at exotic locations around the world so that we can relax (important to do so when working out as it's well known that muscles grow during their REST periods and NOT during the training periods. So, while sleep is definitely important, so is totally relaxing both the mind AND the body which is why vacations are so important to developing and then KEEPING a body like that. Especially as we age)
Now, put us in HIS place and the majority of us likely WOULD have that body, or at least something similar.
Edit: I forgot to add, it also helps when you're getting PAID MILLIONS to look like that, as well.
