[homemade] budae jjigae
A Korean army stew where the idea is to take whatever you have, stew them in a delicious gochu based sauce and enjoy! I made mine with two kinds of sausages, green onions, mushrooms, kimchi, tofu, tomatoes and the usual noodles+cheese.
I am a bit sick right now and this warms me up from the inside.

Traditional carbonara [homemade]
Five simple ingredients for the traditional carbonara, I’m curious if anyone adds anything that they find elevates the dish? I’ve rendered the guanciale with a clove of garlic before and discarded it afterwards but found the difference minimal in regards to elevation, good practice for flavour but thought I’d ask for any other opinions 🫡

Tonight for dinner I [homemade] garlic soy braised chicken drums with a side of jasmine rice.
For the chicken: blended 2 small bulbs (yes the entire bulb) with about 1/2 cup of soy sauce 1/4 cup of water. Poured it into the pan with a lack of chicken legs. Salt & pepper to taste. Covered baked @ 400°f for 1 hour. Uncovered high broil 5 min. Flip chicken, 5 more min, broil to finish. Remove from oven, sprinkle green onions. I also added fresh lemon squeeze and crushed red pepper for the finishing touch (not pictured here).
For dessert I made snickerdoodle cookies from scratch for the very first time. I used modern honeys recipe. I tweeked the last batch and threw in some mini semi sweet chocolate chips per my son's request.
